We absolutely loved our stay here...the place is beautiful and very relaxing. The weather was so hot and the two pools were very inviting. We had a wonderful experience with Kostas & family. Service was outstanding and everything was very clean and inviting. We loved the bartender as well. Breakfast buffet was unbelievable. Got some wonderful island touring advice. Also...

I think I saw the girl that reviewed on the Aug. 10 review and in all honesty, she may have had a few points but overall was a very rude guest. When overseas and out of the country I find that it is best to be a "polite guest" as that is what you are, and this girl was not....

Hotel Mathios was one of the best hotels i have stayed in. Not only were the rooms nice and stylish, the two pools were also great. The hotel is very clean, open and relaxing. What made the hotel even better was how friendly and accomadating the staff was. Specially the owner (Kostas) and Georgia, who showed us exactly were to go...

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of August / begining of September and had a great experience. The staff, particularly Kostas was friendly and pleasant and had some great tips on what to do while on the island. The restaurant was surprisingly good and with 2 pools its a good place for families as well as singles. Would...

First, we only stayed here one night. The hotel is lovely, with two beautiful pools. The staff seemed a bit rude--the woman at the front desk told us the bus stop was a "15 minute walk" from the right. There was a sign that said "bus station" about 100 yards away, but since it didn't look like the regular bus...

I spent all summer traveling and have stayed at dozens of hotels and this was the WORST experience I have had by far!! The owner of the hotel was extremely rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly. When I asked him to recommend a restaurant, his response was "just walk up the road" as he turned his back and walked away. When I...

We booked our reservation directly with Kostas' Akrotiri Travel Agency found through their vmathios.gr website. We were pleased to be able to pick up our prepaid ferry tickets to the island of Santorini and to have the rental car and return airfare included in our final bill. Overall, we found the rooms to be wonderful, the fresh yogurt for breakfast...

This was our third visit to Village Mathios and once again we were not dissapointed. Kostas was once again most helpful and welcoming, ensuring that our every need was catered for be the request large or small. The rooms were very well appointed and service first class with good food and a warm ambiance at the pool bar in the evening...

My family of four (two parents, two children in their 20's) stayed at Hotel Mathios Village in June, 2007, and had a wonderful visit. The property is in Akrotiri, on the southern end of the island, and therefore a good distance from the intense tourism of Firo and Oia -- much more relaxing. It is quite well designed, with rooms...

We spent our 25th wedding anniversary night at V mathios, the room was brilliant, georgie on the desk very helpful and appologetic because our room wasn't ready when we arrived, even though we had arrived early, we didn't expect our room at that time but it was sorted for us. Kostas, now what can I say about him. Really helpful...
