Well, I don’t really know where to start! This hotel is clearly a story of two halves judging by the other reviews! We, unfortunately got the worse half! Arrived very late at night, to be given the keys to the “last available room”! Right in the road, opposite reception and overlooking the pool! We fought off many Ferrell cats lingering around the doorway, to be shown into a dirty and very average, 3* hotel room, with a 1* bathroom! The bathroom was absolutely filthy! Dust, dirt, rust etc! I’ve never stayed in a hotel with such an awful bathroom! Certainly not 5*! Given the room was actually shaking from the music and noise around the pool bar, plus the far from 5* accommodation we had paid for, we went back to reception to ask if we could pay for an upgrade! Reception staff were very nice, I can’t fault them there, but we were informed that the only other room that they had was one on the main road, with a broken sofa! No upgrades available at any cost! We asked about transferring to another Mayor hotel but we’re told this could not be done! We reluctantly went back to the room and tried to call our agents, ‘on the beach holidays’, who claimed to face a 24/7 in-resort customer service! Lies! The music continued until 12.30am and then around 4am, the staff were jet washing around the pool, so we got very little sleep! After continuously trying our agents overnight, with no joy, we went to reception the next morning to tell them we were very unhappy with our disgusting room! The manager said they now had another room but admitted that the bathroom in that room was the same as the one we already had! See pictures attached! We left that morning and travelled 2 hours in a taxi to another hotel for the duration of our holiday! We tried numerous times to speak with our agent, but to no avail, and we lost the first day of our holiday. This was extremely unsettling for our 6 year old, autistic daughter. This hotel is claiming to be 5* and is clearly not! I’m sure some rooms are nice but you must be careful if you do book here! Months later, and Capo Di Corfu have refused to refund the hotel portion of our package holiday! Despite the fact we stayed 1, uncomfortable night and had 3 drinks, which has cost us £1500!…
Travelling alone for the first time with 2 preteen daughters I had quite a few concerns. I needn’t have worried! We had an amazing 4 nights away. We booked a last minute trip for half term. It was the end of the season so the hotel was quiet compared to how I imagine it would be during summer. Because of this we were able to get an upgrade on our room to one of the maisonette styles and also a sea view. The room was perfect and we’ll definitely be booking one of these next time. Food was good. 3 fussy vegetarians and we managed to have full bellies for the stay. However we did have to eat pretty much the same things everyday. I think if we’d have stayed longer this would’ve become annoying. But the hotel had a good salad bar and bread selection. Not brilliant for the waistline but I was on holiday. Pools were ok. My children liked them but they were very cold. Clean with plenty of sun beds around the pools and on the beach. Lovely fluffy towels to hire. The sea was the best part of the trip away for me though. Warm, clean and shallow for such a long way out. Yes, there is seaweed. It’s the sea! They start cleaning a large portion of it early in the morning but apart from wadding though a little when you first go in it’s hardly noticeable. We all wear beach shoes anyway because of the horrors I’ve read about treading on things hidden in the sand. But once past the seaweed it’s wonderful and hardly rises above the waist. One last thing….if you’re a cat person you’re going to love it here! My children were smuggling sausages out the restaurant like they were contraband. Tips for next time… 1. The mosquitos are evil! Pack anything and everything I can find to kill the (insert swear word). 2. Buy an extra large beach/pool bag. The room wasn’t overly close to the beach/pool. I only had to go back a couple of times to get things we’d forgotten but trying to carry everything back in ones arms at the end of the day helped burn of the extra bread calories. 3. If staying in the maisonette style rooms remember 2 sets of toiletries. Running conditioner up and down those stairs because the girls couldn’t wait for the other to finish again helped with the calorie situation.…
We stayed at the Mayor Capo Di Corfu recently for a last minute bit of sunshine before winter. With it coming to the end of season there was not much going on in the evenings. The resort is pretty clean apart from the weeds on the paths that probably sprung up after some rain. There’s plenty of sun-beds at the resort by both pools and the beach. Our children enjoyed playing table tennis and pool at the beach bar. They also played tennis a couple of times a day whilst my wife and I chilled at the beach. The food at the main restaurant is pretty good - you'll always find something to eat. The restaurant is however quite small and they rely on around 50% of guest eating outside under umbrellas and lights whilst being munched on by mosquitoes. At breakfast and dinner peak times we didn’t find eating inside the restaurant a very pleasant experience either as it can be very crowded and busy. There is also limited serving space for food in the restaurant so it is constantly being refreshed by kitchen staff who are clearly working hard but quite often when it’s busy they run out of certain foods for 5 mins or so. At breakfast for example because of limited space they only have one bread toasting machine which creates a small crowd of people hustling to toast bread. In the evening we tried to eat early when we could around 6-6.30pm but if we missed that we waited until 8.30pm when it was quieter and we could get a table inside. There is a nice upstairs lounge bar for drinks but like the main restaurant it’s quite small in comparison to the amount of guests. For our accommodation we had a bungalow room with upstairs twin beds for our 11 and 14 year old boys. The room was clean and nicely presented. The room was also cleaned daily. One thing to note, on our third night the hotel removed our ability to cool our room using the air conditioning. It was changed to heat mode only because it was getting colder in the evening, however our room was 28 degrees that night when we returned after dinner. We spoke to reception twice and it was eventually changed. So basically in the building we were located the resort can decide whether you can cool your room or not. The slides are only open from 10.30-12.30 and again at 4.30-6.30. It would have been nice if they were open longer. As mentioned earlier, many of the paths are covered in weeds. Perhaps a good weed killing exercise wouldn't go amiss even if it is close to the end of season. The staff are all polite, friendly and helpful. When we were discussing with reception about our air conditioning the nice lady at reception gave us 2 plug-in mosquitoe repellents. We probably won’t visit this resort again but it’s ok and as we were doing a last minute cheap break, I would say it’s pretty good value. I would describe it as a 3 star resort. RM 3323 Dr Graham…
It was a great hotel and was very clean and the staff all helpful and polite. The slides are for under 16s only so trying to encourage our little one to go on alone was a challenge at the start but she soon loved that and the kids club. The room was exquisite right by the pool side and again was spotlessly clean. Only put 4/5 as the food selection could have been better, there was very little fish/seafood on our trip. Also the spa staff going along the sun loungers trying to sell there packages and wanting a deposit at the time of booking.

I can only say that the experience I had at this resort was absolutely FANTASTIC! I always take reviews with a pinch of salt and I am so glad that I did with this place. People complaining about seaweed and shallow waters? That is ridiculous, the hotel cannot change the landscape or nature 😂, there is one spot with seaweed by the quiet pool which is completely avoidable, plus, it is a resort for families and in my eyes, shallow waters are safer for children which was evidenced by the amount of kids having the best time out in the sea. I class a 5 star hotel as the ritz in nyc, many hotels don't hit that mark, but I tell you what, this place was fantastic and I will definitely be back soon, the room was great (3402), all external/pool areas were excellent and well maintained (every morning at 0630 onwards I seen staff outside raking the sand on the beach and cleaning the loungers, over and above as far as I am concerned. Would be great if guests who moved the loungers made their job easier by putting them back where they were. I seen negative comments about the animation team only looking after the French guests, absolute nonsense, I am from Scotland and my family and I got treated amazingly. I think there should be a website to rate guests because I seen some "guests" being unacceptably rude and intrusive in the restaurant area, horrendous behaviour (the world owes me type). The restaurant had more than enough variety and the standard was great. I would like to thank the whole team for their beyond amazing service and the housekeeping staff, our room was perfect every single day. Thank you so much for an unforgettable holiday and we will definitely be back. For the price paid and what I got for my money, I for one am absolutely delighted. Thanks again everyone at team Mayor Capo Di Corfu. …
We booked this trip very last minute, having high expectations having read a few positive reviews, and seen beautiful images, however these were not fulfilled. Upon arrival we were greeted by lovely receptionists who throughout our stay helped with recommendations of excursions/taxi's & activities. The first thing we noticed was the smell which wasn't pleasant and it was there for the whole duration of our stay. The rooms are very dated could also do with smart tvs to make them more accessible for non greek speakers. Cleanliness of the rooms could be much better, our sheets could've been changed every other day, the bed covers were old and stained and towels weren't replaced daily either. Awkward layout of the rooms, showers were small, and water went everywhere due to no shower screens but rather old curtains. The rooms were close to the relaxation pool and beach with nice views, however there are 2 pools, this 1 should be for adults only, and the main pool for families. The food was very poor, it felt more like a canteen than a restaurant, we were half board, expecting traditional greek cuisine however this wasn't the case. Veg was still semi-frozen. Toaster needs replacing extremely slow. Staff however are a 4/5star, very hardworking & friendly however there is just no organisation, it's just very chaotic, as well as having to find a table. Finally the beach, we were very disappointed, the water was clean the further you went in however, we wondered why it was so dirty everyday at the front as there is maintenance, and we noticed that the group of workers were not removing the sea weed but simply placing it in a pile further down or pushing it back into the water. Overall not the worst stay however a lot of work to be done to make it a 4/5star, family have recommended the Marbella Corfu, 30mins away which is 5star and the quality just doesn't compare.…
Lovely resort, very clean all around. Apartment was comfortable and cleaned every day. Alway had sun beds available. Beach with beautiful views. Good selection of food and lovely cakes. Only down side we went during out of season for nightly entertainment. They did little bits on the odd night but the lively theatre area would have been perfect to nightly shows. Spa on site with lovely staff ( Elena, Panos, Branco and Antonio) and great massages reasonably priced and well worth the money, felt amazing afterwards. Tip: Lobby Bar doesn’t have a lift so can prove difficult to get to if you have problems walking.
Perfect, It was a beautiful place, especially for families with children, but we were a young couple. Nevertheless, we enjoyed all the moments and we will definitely come back. It has all the facilities for children and families.
Fantastic Resort such a Beautiful location , very clean and very enthusiastic staff, But 1-They need to improve Vegetarian food option in their all Breakfast/lunch/dinner menu, there isn’t enough vegetarian food option. 2- Rooms are nice but mattress were hurting a lot we hadn’t good sleep all 5 nights as mattress springs were hurting a lot so we have got very bad beck pain , so they need to improve that immediately.
