Stayed here during walking the C2C. The location was lovely and the views and gardens were special. A couple of miles from the village pub but the hosts offer a drop off service to the pub and the landlord will bring you back, very handy. Very clean and a fantastic quality breakfast served up.

a beautiful b&b in a beautiful part of yorkshire. the owners really saved our day with last min booking for a wedding at danby castle and then driving us to the venue after we got caught in traffic and very delayed. such a kind touch and not forgotten. the room was spotless (twin room downstairs which was rearranged to become... after a long day walking from Clay Bank Top to Glaisdale, this was a comfortable stay in relaxed surroundings. the hosts greeted us with tea and cake and drove us to the arncliffe arms for meal (where they had prebooked and arranged for the pub to take us back). The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room has superb... More

Some things are hard to understand. First, Laneside B&B has an expansive deck overlooking a beautiful valley yet guests are not allowed access. Second, we arrived on a sweltering hot day, yet the proprietor would not open the doors to allow a breeze because she did not have doorstops and did not want the doors to slam. Third, at each... Stayed at Laneside during coast to coast walk. Hosts very quiet and kept themsleves to themsleves. Twin ground floor room very good with nice ensuite shower and very clean. The welcome cake and tea / coffee very good. Breakfast good. No wi-fi in bedroom which was disappointing especially since there was no mobile phone coverage either. A good night's stay.

Stayed as part of our C2C and it is easy to find off the route. Apart from the cake and drink upon arrival and the large room, what made this particularly memorable was the friendliness of the owners. It had been an incredibly sunny, hot day and my son had suffered some sunburn. The spontaneous offer of a tub of... More

The bedroom and separate bathroom were clean and well appointed. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was substantial. Tracey and Robin were welcoming, friendly and helpful with local information and conversation. Safe and easy stairs to the upper floor. No problems with parking. Quiet. Good value.

Warm welcome by the landlords with cake and coffee brought to our room, room was gorgeous and spacious with amazing views, house is beautiful and the scenery too. Very quiet remote location. Food was lovely and the landlords are really friendly too. Would fully recommend the b&b and will definitely visit again X

A very comfortable B&B with large rooms and a dining room that has a delightful outlook over their lovely garden. It's not far off the C2C track, but the pub is a 2 mile walk through the village but they always offer a ride and the publican took us back again so that was no problem at all. Would have... More

Landside was recommended for a stay when visiting the Esk Valley theatre. We were welcomed with tea and home made biscuits and a warm greeting. Room was ideal, as were the views across the Esk valley. Excellent wi fi reception. Very attractive breakfast room, with first class food with great views over a beautiful garden.
