It’s rare I’d feel confident enough to leave a 5 star review half way through a holiday but I’ve total confidence that the second half of our stay will be no different to the first. We got a lovely warm welcome from Tasia when we arrived and nothing is too much trouble. The room is a much higher standard than you would typically get in a small Greek “village” hotel and the whole place is spotless. For the relatively small number of rooms, the pool area is a good size, with a nice deep freshwater pool.
There are plenty of tavernas in walking distance and you don’t get hassled by any of the proprietors to come in either, which is a breath of fresh air. The bus into town is cheap and doesn’t take long, though it only runs until 7.30pm so you’ll need to taxi back (about 10 Euros).
Oh, and George’s scooter collection in reception is a classy touch!
Overall we are having a very relaxing time.

Thank you very much for the trust you have in us! We are delighted to know that you had a great time. We appreciate indeed your attention to Mr. George;s scooter collection found in the reception! Eventhough it is a picture that made a lot of people fond of motorbikes enthusiastic, you are the first one writting about it so, thank you once more.

From the moment of our arrival we were met with the warmest of welcomes.
Tasia, Chris and Georgia make every effort (and succeed) to make sure everything is in place for you to fully relax in this wonderful little oasis. Their hospitality is second to none. Genuinely friendly, polite and courteous people, nothing was ever too much trouble.
The whole site is always kept immaculately clean and tidy. Rooms are cleaned daily, with fresh bed linen and towels supplied very regularly. (the cleaning ladies were also great, going about their business efficiently and almost unnoticed) The little poolside bar was always attended for refreshments needed and the lush garden areas are very well tended to.
Situated far enough from the main road to be quiet but close enough to nip to the supermarket for essentials make it an ideal location. The seashore is also only a couple of hundred yards away from the apartments themselves, but be advised that the small beaches are pebbles not sand and watershoes are recommended if you intend to venture into the warm, shallow crystal clear sea. Several good restaurants were all within a 10 - 15 minute walk away, all serving great food at very reasonable prices. Convenient bus stops are also nearby to take a short ride into Nydri or Lefkada town if you want something a little livelier on an evening.

In all, an exceptional place run by exceptional people. it was an absolute pleasure to stay here. We can't thank you enough for making our time with you truly enjoyable.

Five stars just aren't enough for the Alkyon. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Tasia we knew what a special place we had chosen. Tasia welcomed us with pastries and a drink. Then we were taken to our studio which had an enormous and really comfortable bed, the best shower room in Greece hot water at perfect pressure every time we used it. The studio was spotless with a well equipped kitchen. In the fridge we're two sandwiches ready to become toasties, a beer and some water.
The gardens, courtyard and pool area were so beautifully maintained. But the absolutely best part was Tasia she made sure everyone was happy any issues were resolved nothing ever became a problem. Never before have we had such a relaxing, peaceful and happy holiday. Thank you Tasia

Stayed here for 2 weeks in late September, towards the end of the season.
Our one bedroom apartment was excellent and well equipped, and the complex as a whole was very good - everything was in great condition and very well presented. There is great attention to detail throughout, it was spotlessly clean and the gardens very well tended. Our hostess Tasia was lovely and very welcoming - she had provided a sandwich and drinks in our apartment for our arrival. It was possible to rent a car or motorbike on site, and push bikes were available to use by the guests.
This is not a highly commercialised area so don't expect a great deal of tourist amenities on your doorstep - we liked it this way for a laid back relaxing holiday, although there are a good number of restaurants and a couple of supermarkets within easy walking distance.
There is a good bus service on the main road about 100m from the apartments, and the sea (more of a sea lagoon) 100m in the other direction out of the gate with a quiet pebble beach.
Taking the bus, the capital Lefkada is just up the road and the resort of Nydri is about 20 mins down the road - tickets are/were €2pp. Nydri is where the tourist action is offering boat trips, shops, restaurants and all the usual stuff.
We loved it here.

What fabulous accommodation! As a solo traveller, I take care in selecting places I hope are small & friendly - the Alkyon is certainly that. On arrival I was greeted by the lovely owner with light refreshments, who then showed me to my room. In over 30 years of visiting Greece, this is the best accommodation I’ve had, being very spacious with a king size bed, a wonderful modern wet room with walk in shower. The property is built & maintained to a very high standard with attention to detail. Everyone works incredibly hard to keep the place immaculate. The grounds are quite stunning with an array of colourful flowers & shrubs., set round a beautiful swimming pool. The Alkyon is on a quiet lane mid way between the main road & the beach. If you are looking for sports bars serving fried breakfast, karaoke etc, Ligia is not for you. It is a proper village, where you rub shoulders with the locals in the excellent supermarket at the top of the lane. There are not many tavernas in the village, but they offer a variety of dishes, some of which were new to me & if you like fish you will not be disappointed. The ones located on the sea front are especially appealing with stunning views over to the mainland. What Ligia lacks in the way of a sandy beach is compensated by a lovely nature reserve where you can get way from it all. Would I come here again - you bet!

Well its lovely to be back in Greece ,how we missed the heat as you get of the plane to putting toilet paper in the bin, we stayed a week at the Alkyon apartments in Lygia on the island of Lefkada what a welcome we had the apartments were great we had a room overlooking the pool, Stasia (the woman never stops )the owner knows how to look after her quests wether giving you any info on where to go or hiring car or scooter while plying you with titbits of local cake or pie. Lygia is quite quiet and relaxing the beach which is pebble is a stroll away. the village beach with sunbeds which are free as long as you buy a drink is 20 minutes stroll past several restaurants along the front. The pool area and gardens are very clean and pretty and many a day was spent lazing on the sunbeds . There is a supermarket just up the road for all your needs ( beware there are no ATMS in Lygia you have to go into town ) Lefka town is 10 minutes on the bus and is well worth the visit for the marina and the square especially in the evening. If your going for 2 weeks i would hire a car and see more of the island. A lovely relaxing break with a wonderful host and great apartments. 2 beers please Stasia.

We had a great stay at the Alkyon apartments. Our room was spacious (although we could have done with a few more drawers), and spotless and we were thankful for the aircon. The pool was lovely, and there were usually plenty of sunbeds. Tasia made us feel very welcome providing sandwiches ready to be toasted in our room on arrival, pies, cakes etc. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. There were lots of restaurants to choose from nearby, and the walk along the beach to the marina was lovely.

It is good to know that a few more drawers were needed, we will try to do that for the next season. Mrs. Tasia is every day present, to make sur that everything is perfect. We had the privilege of staying at the Alkyon Pension in Lefkada three times, in 2019, 2021 and 2023, and each visit was as wonderful as the previous one. This Inn is undoubtedly the best on the island, thanks to its impeccable cleanliness, the exceptional quality of its staff, and above all, the kindness of the manager Tassia, who always has a little attention for her guests. All the staff is of rare kindness, and they make you feel like on holiday with relatives. The Inn is as beautiful and well maintained as ever, offering soothing calm, a refreshing pool, and a beautiful garden, creating a real haven of peace.Bikes are available, making it easy to eat in the nearby taverns or to look for a small dish for lunch. The Inn is conveniently located, close to the center by car and amenities on foot.We can not imagine going to Lefkada without passing by the Alkyon Inn. We highly recommend this Inn and thank Tassia for her unparalleled kindness. Like us, you will probably want to return regularly.

All was great!
Much attention for details (when we arrived, there was an empty nail on the wall. I was thinking I should buy something to put there as a symbol of my appreciation, but the next day, a seashell ornament appeared).
The host, Tasia, is very nice and she makes very good recommendations!
All the hosts are nice people.
The room is very clean, you have enough room, and it has all you need, even to start breakfast. There is a generous balcony with seats and a table.
The bathroom was a bit small in our room, but not all the rooms were like that. We just picked the small straw...
The yard has many plants and is well taken care of.
The swimming pool is great. The swimming program is from 9:00 to 20:00, with a pause from 15:00 to 18:00.
They serve all kinds of drinks at the bar.
They do not serve breakfast, but you have many choices: Lidl near, a supermarket, a bakery, or 2 restaurants.
You have free parking near the location.
Although everything was great, some advice: get a room on the ground floor. Up is very hot in summer and the air takes some time to cool the room.

It's more of a slight slope, it's about 100 yards off the main road. Not really any hills in Lygia. Alkyon is terrific!

No sea views as it’s not directly on the sea front, but most of the rooms seemed to overlook the pretty pool. We had B3 which was first floor & was lovely.

There are a few sunbeds and umbrellas provided by the hotel a couple of hundred metres along the little beach but they can be used by anyone so no guarantee of getting one. We mostly went down there late afternoon though and always found some empty

Hi Debi, I stayed in an apartment that could accommodate 4. I think that there are bigger apartments in the hotel. Probably two of them will be enough. I wish you the best holidays. Take care, George
