We stayed at Villa Dora, tourist center Marko, very close to Plitvice Lakes. The room was clean, light, spacious, and had updated furniture. The host Marko had a contagious smile and gave us valuable advice. The hot breakfast was excellent except the fruits (they should be fresh). The entrance was on a small hill, but the parking was adequate. The entrance should be marked more clearly ("Tourist Center Marko", then "Villa Dorris" and other villas).

I travel a lot, this is definitely one of the best places I've found in my experience. Great location to go to Plitvice Lakes and main local shopping area. Modern, welcoming, clean, very well soundproofed rooms. The whole place is lovingly well kept in terms of order and cleanliness. Free parking, panoramic swimming pool where you can relax. Owner was always available and friendly in case of need. I felt really renewed after a stressful time and loved this amazing place.

Stayed two nights at TC Marko related to our visit to Plitvicke National park. Surprised by the size and quality of the accomodation offered and also the nice and quiet pool area.
Very good breakfast at the attached restaurant

This little guest house is located 12 km north of the Plitvice National Park and is recommended. We booked it online prior to our trip in Aug. 05 and were pleasantly surprised at the clean, modern rooms and friendly owners. There are rooms in the same building as the restaurant as well as in a separate guest house located farther back on the property which is a more quiet location. The pool and tennis courts are fantastic and you can rent bicycles too. The restaurant has a great menu and the prices are reasonable. We had room #9 which was very quiet.

June 2007. We have just returned from 12 days touring Croatia by car. We stayed in 6 hotels/B&Bs, all prices. This was our favourite. We booked direct [--]. Very reasonable at £26 (280 kunas/42 euros inc tax) per room including breakfast. Lovely location, beautiful countryside/forest views. 15 min drive to Plitvice National Park (the waterfalls are stunning). We stayed in the new lodge up the slope, behind the restaurant. Room 9 was quiet and spotless, with good size bathroom and powerful shower and full size SAT-TV (mainly German channels but one Croatian channel had some English programmes/films with Croatian subtitles). Lovely pool and tennis court. Continental breakfast was served in the covered outdoor terrace of the restaurant. We ate at the restaurant in the evenings too as the choice was huge and food very good. Recommended. So glad we stayed here and not in the (much more expensive but didn't look very nice) accommodation in the National Park itself.

My husband and I stayed 1 night at TC Marko before hiking in Plitvice Lakes National Park. Since we had a rental car, the short drive from TC Marko to the park was not a problem, and we were given very good advice by the reception clerk regarding the best way to hike the park, where to park, when to go, etc. We visited in October, and the weather was not ideal, so we were seemingly the only guests in the whole lodge. Our room was quite large, very clean, and very comfortable. We had wi-fi and a TON of TV channels to choose from, including some in English. One word of caution: the TV package included adult programming, so beware if traveling with children not to let them control the remote. We ate dinner and breakfast in the on-site restaurant, and both were hearty, tasty meals. We enjoyed our stay, and even though the place was a bit deserted, the service was good, and we were very comfortable.

TC-Marko offers very clean, comfortable modern, but basic rooms in a very convenient location to Plitvice National Park at very reasonable rates.
We stayed during the first week of October when the leaves were beginning to change color. The hotel is on the main road out of the park situated on the side of a hill full of apple trees. During the summer there is a great swimming pool.
Breakfast was good with excellent coffee from the espresso machine.
We stayed two nights and ate at the hotel both nights. The food was good, varied, and reasonably priced. What made the dining experience really memorable though was the presence of many local people who were out and live musicians performing in the restaurant.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with teenagers
It is pretty close (but not the closest) from Plitvice.

You must ask a room at the back (far from the road, and not in the same house than the restaurant).
We had 2 nice rooms at the second floor of the hotel.

Restaurant is not expensive, and you could have croatian meals.

Careful : they don't accept credit card !! (the closest cash distributor is several kilometers far).

At the hotel, near the reception, before going to bed, you have a glass of local rakia waiting for you !

We only stayed one night, so didn't have chance to experience the place. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the restaurant was quite good, although if you were having B&B like we were, you had to pay for any cup of coffee after the first one. Couldn't really figure this one out when the main ingredient is hot water which is already in the jug. Even so, the service was good, as was the evening meal. It must be OK if all the locals seem to use it.
The only really negative aspect of the stay, and yes, I should have seen it on ther booking form, was that we had to pay in cash.Aaarrrgghh!!! There was a dozen of us, six couples, and I was doing all the settling up of the bills. This meant I had to trail down the road for three or four kms to find a cash machine. This is 2012, and I think they should modernise this side of the business.

This place is extremely reasonably priced, very cheap compared to the park hotels. It is a fairly short drive to the park so is conveniently located. We had a room next to the restaurant which suffered a bit from road noise so if you are up the hill in the separate building it will be fine. Our room was very clean, comfortable and modern.

Answer from TCMarko
Hi, Entarance 1 is on the Lakes and we are about 15 min driveing from entrance 1. We do not have here local buses so I can arrange taxi. The price is 120,00 kn or 16,00 euro in one direction. And also if you need next day to drive you again in National Park I can ask and the price is the same. Thank You! Kristina
