The new owner is kind and welcoming - and the rooms are clean. But... unfortunately the comfort is very very minimal in this non-renovated old fashioned hotel, located on a busy and noisy road. rooms are small and very very basic - no trash bin, no kettle... Room rates are determined on the basis of the demand - high demand / high price... and not based on the quality of the offer which in this case is quite poor

Hotel is located at good location, just accross the station. Rooms are recently (partly) refurbished, need some futher upgrade, but are claen. The outside of the building needs a solid refurbishement, garden with terass is not well maintained. Owners (young family) are not making you feel welcome, the reception, bar area look messy, not clean. The food in the restaurant, prepared by the husband cook is excellent

Recently refurbished, the rooms, of acceptable size, are better than expected. If available, pick one of the rear rooms, quieter than the road-facing ones. Good views, friendly family atmosphere, multi-lingual owners. clean restaurant, convenient location immediately opposite the train cum bus station (Gap to Valence-Paris or Marseille correspondence)

Having visited Die for 15 years this was a place we had always wanted to stay (but had a family property nearby). When we left the ferry we though we would stay en route but just kept going, telephoned on the way, and arrived late afternoon we stayed for two nights. The room was basic but had everything you would need and was immaculately clean. The owners were very welcoming and considerate. The greatest surprise was the cooking. The food was the best we had eaten in this area in all the time we had visited this area. How I wish I had known it earlier. The menu was balanced and creative. The cooking was perfection. The pace of service was easy but attentive. The house wine by the carafe was local and good. All of this sat on plastic chairs in the garden. Spectacular and well worth a visit.

We enjoyed our stay at La petite Auberge very much. The owners took care of us and made us feel welcome; excellent service! The room was large with separate bath and toilet. Comfortable bed and clean. The food was excellent and served in a nice dining room that was a bit dated, typical for a small French Hotel. Cost was average for France. They speak Several languages so check in and out was a breeze. Ample parking! If we are ever in Die again we will stay at this hotel.
