I highly recommend it! There are 9 accommodations, 6 rooms and 3 villas (where up to 4 people can sleep (2 downstairs in the bedroom and 2 in single beds on the mezzanine. The 3 of us (me, my wife, and my daughter) stayed in a villa for two days. Everything was perfect. The room was super cozy, very well decorated and clean. A nice pool with a pleasant place to enjoy the sun. The staff - André and others - were always attentive. Delicious croissants, a variety of cheeses, eggs as you like, fresh fruit, etc., and the person in charge is very attentive. Easy access by car to the beaches and picturesque villages in the region and nearby restaurants.

Beautifully landscaped property. Clear, modern architecture. Small but high quality furnished rooms.
Very rich, excellent quality breakfast.
It's better to book two nights here than just one. And ideally at a time when you can fully enjoy the garden and pool.
But you should definitely have a car. Taxi to or from Odeceixe about €10 if you can get one.
(For hikers on the Fisherman's Trail, the hotel is actually too far away from the official end/start of the hiking stages. In winter there are no drinks in the hotel, and there are no reasonable restaurants with reliable opening times within walking distance)

We repeat 4-night getaway like every year. It is a perfect accommodation to rest and with a very good value for money. It is very close to the village of Odeceixe. All rooms with outdoor area, a very nice swimming pool, very well kept green areas, beautiful sunset. The service, from checking in with good recommendations from beaches and restaurants, to the breakfast and cleaning staff, all spotless. The breakfast buffet is very complete and very pleasant either on the terrace or in the bright interior. Perfect, thank you!

Great place in a quiet location, very nice pool with sunbeds, everything was very clean. Good central location to visit the surrounding beaches and restaurants. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was great.
Those planning a longer stay should opt for the slightly larger family apartments with kitchen

It’s a unique country hotel. We fully appreciated the fresh air, tranquility and the Portuguese countryside during our stay. Beautiful stars at night are amazing plus!
The hotel is a bit away from the town but we were introduced many great restaurants not too far from the property upon check in. We were quite happy with the two local restaurants within a walking distance, especially the seafood restaurant introduced by the hotel staff. Breakfast at the hotel was great too.

A really great facility. Manageable, few rooms, but built and run with a lot of love. The normal double rooms were a bit too small for us (a couple), but luckily we were able to upgrade to a family room. It's definitely worth it! André deserves special mention, he takes care of everything and always makes a lot of effort. Booking a taxi, getting a seat at a restaurant, rebooking a room at short notice... You notice that, and we really appreciate it!

We had an outstanding experience at Monte do Cardal in late March 2023. We stayed here as a base for exploring the Fisherman's Trail along the Alentejo/Algarve coast of Southwest Portugal. This small hotel is well located, serene and set in beautiful gardens. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The sumptuous breakfast gives you all the energy you need to tackle the hiking trails. Rooms are tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Very careful and clean place. Very comfortable beds and a very peaceful place with good restaurants nearby. Excellent breakfast.
Negative points: very small room without air conditioning, which makes the night hellish. The temperature in the room was almost 30C with only a fan type device that makes a lot of noise and provides little cooling. It's a shame this condition spoils the experience and makes you think twice about repeating

The property is a very pleasant space, with a nice swimming pool and space with sun loungers. The breakfast is excellent. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We stayed in a mesanine for 4 people, very spacious and well decorated, with an outdoor space where we had breakfast at this time of Covid 19. We had bicycles available, which we used. I recommend this place to rest and to go to the beach, which is relatively close, by car.
