The location is superb because you can go those ancient baths directly from hotel. Also good point for visiting the east part of the island.
The rooms are Ok but nothing special, a bit dark.
Breakfast and food in restaurant is good though not extraordinary.

Take a taxi. But this is much more expensive than renting a car. Driving is safe, and there's not much traffic on the island. Follow the Eixo S, which is mostly built like a motorway, directly from the airport to Furnas. Once you have passed Villafranca do Campo, the motorway changes to an excellent road which leads you uphill directly to Furnas. In Furnas just follow the signposts to the hotel.
