Great place to stay and relax, nice environment, good location, amazing personal, internal pool very nice, small, but cozy. good food, amazing wine list. Quite and calm, a lot of activities available to do in family.
This modern hotel is highly recommended. The service throughout the hotel is first class and the staff were all very friendly and spoke excellent English. The room was kept exceptionally clean and tidy and the the breakfast was supurb with a very fine range of food on offer.
Horrible experience due to noise of work past midnight that woke me up and continued despite repeated calls to the reception which acknowledged that a dinner had just finished and that they were moving tables, etc. unacceptable behavior by hotel staff in not handling the situation immediately.
The employees at the front desk are really friendly and helpful. We had an apartment, with a very cold floor. With the aircindition the temperature of the room was good. The size of the apartment was big and everything was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The indoor pool is nice but it is a pity that there is no space to lay down and relax. The gym is not good equipped. The elitica doesn't work and the TV on the treadmill doesn't work. The gym devices don't make sense for a workout. The breakfast was really good, we enjoyed the fresh fruits and the omelettes. There could be a bigger choice of local cheese and fresh vegetables. The coffee was pretty good. If you would be a plastic free hotel, avoid the salt, pepper and suggarbags.
We booked the new year’s eve package in November over the phone (family with 2 kids 3 and 5). The team at the reservation desk was very helpful and informative. Everything was done via phone and email. Rita and her team were professional and friendly. We arrived on December 30th from Cascais. It was about a 45 min drive. The red carpet had been rolled out and the 2020 preparations were in full swing. The hotel was busy however check in was quick, no line up and very friendly reception staff. The room was ready with 2 extra beds. The room is big, even with the 2 extra beds there was plenty of space. The room had a balconly with a table and 2 chairs with a view of the pool, golf course and countryside. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the bedding and towels were very nice quality. We slept very well in the silence of the countryside. We ate buffet dinner at Manjapão. The kids ate free. The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful with lots of options. The staff were also very helpful and provided food options that were not laid out but that could be made to order. Breakfast on the 31st was served in Manjpão. Once again, lots of fresh and delicious options. The staff were quite busy as the hotel was full however the service did not fault. We had lunch at the garden terrace. Kids menu and normal menu had many options. The staff were very attentive and we had a lovely meal. The kids club was open almost around the clock during our stay and the kids enjoyed it a lot. They had entertainment for all age groups. My kids made friends and really liked the monitors. They provided a fun experience for the kids while maintaining a safe and controlled environment. We had a chance to use the gym and pool area. Despite a lot of guests we never noticed the facilities too busy or full of people. There is no yoga ball in the gym, other than that it has all the equipment necessary to complete a cardio/weight training workout. New Year’s Eve The theme was ‘once upon a time in Hollywood’. The décor was elegant and there was a red carpet with a backdrop perfect for taking pictures. There was a light up dance floor with DJ. The dinner was a very fancy buffet. Many options. Lots of seafood and a huge chocolate fountain. Adults were given a little organza bag with the 12 raisins to be eaten for luck and the kids were given the same little organza bag but with smarties. There were 2020 headbands and top hats. The dinner was very entertaining. There was a group of singers that preformed a great list of hit songs. As 202 approached the party moved out to the terrace. I must admit we were a bit shy to get out there as the temperatures at night have been in the single digits (ºC) however they had strategically placed enough outdoor space heaters to make the outdoor terrace at midnight feel cozy! Sparklers were distributed. An outdoor projection had the countdown timer set. By the time the sparklers were lit and the champagne was distributed it was countdown time. The fireworks were impressive. By the time the fireworks had ended our 3 and 5 year old were ready for bed. Unfortunately we did not see the rest of the party however I hear it was a blast. Luckily from our room we did not hear a thing! The kids club was open until 3am for the ones that were still up to enjoy it. The next morning breakfast was served in the same hall that the New Year’s Eve dinner was held. This was followed by brunch in Manjapão that ended at 4pm. The New Year’s Eve package was impressive and the party was a lot of fun. The staff really worked had the 2 nights we were there, the hotel was probably to capacity I would say. The service was amazing! Everyone was so kind and helpful. Thank you Dolce Campo Real for a memorable NYE and amazing hospitality.…
