This apartment within very easy reach of Heraklion airport (20 mins by car) with free parking. The accommodation was basic but surprisingly comfortable. The shower not ideal as no curtain and a wayward shower head. The air conditioning was excellent and included. The bed was good and the kitchen very handy. The room was cleaned everyday and everyone was very friendly and helpful especially Michael the owner. They even have a well priced spa with masseuse. The pool was lovely and very relaxed. The location was really good. Walking distance from the village and just over the road from the sea and also next door to a supermarket, extensive gift shop and cash till. You can even catch a cute little land train for 5 euros to nearby Hersonissos 15 mins away.

There was a nice gift shop and cafe where you could buy breakfast and drinks. If I were to find any fault it would be the tiles on the way to the apartment with were very very slippy when wet. Also, painting the door to my apartment which was badly peeling would have given a nicer feel to my stay.

For price it was excellent value for money and I would definitely recommend.

Mattresses where you can feel every metal spring through, air conditioning costs 7€ extra per day. Owner is very unfriendly. Check out was at 11 under Flieger went at half past 10 in the evening, but we (mother+child) were not allowed to stay in the hotel but had to GET OUT. Would not come back again

Simply deficient in all respects.Without extra charge for the, for me standard rooms there called Luxury Room, a reasonable holiday is not possible.Pictures and description are simply misleading. Standard room is not humane.Mattresses where you just feel every feather.Climate 7€ a day extra! Breakfast can not be called that.No fruit, no fresh coffee, no variety.

Beautiful Greek apartments and Michalis and Maria are so lovely and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I was actually there on the day that the previous review was left by KATIE. I was in the pool bar when KATIE came in and asked Michalis for Quote' soup ladle, chef knife and an oven. He explained in a calm way that they are not provided.

In my.opinion if guests are looking for a fully equipped kitchen they need to move up to a 5 star and pay a lot more for that. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Mine is to remind future guests. There is always 2 sides to every complaint. Thank you to Michalis and Maria for a fabulous holiday. Be back again next year! Linda.

It was terrible. It was terrible. Breakfast which is nothing is in the sun. The shower consists of a hose with shower head that cannot hang you can only rinse yourself because when soaping the tap has to be turned off because otherwise it flies around due to the water pressure. The shower and kitchen are covered in mold. The toilet seat is loose. The seats are broken. The pillow is yellow and full of drool spots. They don't know how to clean and that's it. Shower mat lies wet in the shower on the floor for an average of 5 days. We had to get toilet paper twice ourselves. So people spend your money on another apartment this one is definitely not worth it.

We stayed at Kasapakis to attend a wedding at Stella Island. My 13 year old daughter and I fully enjoyed our stay. Michael & Maria were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The bar has beautiful views of the sea and it’s very close to all local bars and restaurants. The apartment and pool areas were very clean and the service was very good.

We booked kasapakis in july 2012, recommenned as "familyhotel "by our travelagency, rooms where quite stoneaged, doors opening partly, plates, cups ymc is a collection of different pairs. "Familyhotels" owners relative scared our dother to almoust death by screaming on her when she was puddling kittens on backyard of hotel.
Airconditioner failed twice in week. Well, go ahead if you want to be on a survival game.

We booked this for a two week summer holiday and were greatly looking forward to our stay. However, once we arrived it was clear we had made a great error in judgement when booking this hotel. We booked through booking.com (which stated aircon was included) but upon arrival we were told there was an additional charge of 7 euros per day for this, which we could not justify paying and when queried with the owner he stated that it was not his concern and that we should take it up with booking.com. I understand that this problem wasn't necessarily the owners fault, however his attitude that a third party potentially misadvertising his business was the customers problem and not his I find frustrating. He was rude, argumentitive and condescending and not willing to help at all. He further went on to say that he wasn't a con artist and that once I'd spoken to booking.com I could come back and tell him he was right and I was wrong. I also tried to speak with him regarding the lack of any utensils to cook as it was advertised as self catering with a kitchenette, but there was the bare minmum with nothing to cook with and everything was dirty, but he advised me he has friends with hotels and it is quite standard, however we have stayed at many self catering hotels in Greece and never had this issue before. I then broached the subject of the shower being an issue as there is no screen or curtain and it just soaks the whole bathroom including the toilet and toilet roll holder and makes the floor very slippery. Upon hearing this he advised we had a bathroom mat to "fix" this issue, I stated we did not and he even argued with me on that before concluding he would get the cleaner to check the following day. I also had to bring up the fact that the beds were ridiculously uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in your back as you tried to sleep and he denied there was an issue as his other customers had not complained and refused to even come and look at the beds. Therefore I asked for extra pillows and even this was a struggle for him and he said he would see what he could find and get the maid to bring the following day. We have never had such a host with such unwillingness to help. I quickly realised that we were not getting anywhere and the conversation was getting heated so I left the situation. The following day we did recieve one pillow (there was two of us) and one cutting knife that was absolutley filthy, along with the bathmat that did nothing to resolve the bathroom issue. There was blood on the wall in the bathroom and room, that had not been cleaned from previous guests and cleanliness as a whole was poor. The extractor fan light was broken, the pans were broken, two of the lights did not work, the tv did not work, along with many other issues. In greece we expect a basic room on our budget but have never had so many problems and a hotel owner not willing to rectify anything. We complained to our booking provider and were getting nowhere with it but they did contact the hotel owner who stated to them that we had never even complained to him. After their contact the maid who had previously been coming regularly did not come for around 4 days which meant we had a sopping wet bathroom mat we couldn't get dry, were low on toilet roll and also the bins were overflowing. The maid was always polite and would wash up if we hadn't gotten round to it (we had to buy our own washing up liquid and scrubber but the sink also has no plug) but the floors were never cleaned and clearly the walls were never cleaned between guests either. To top it all off as more guests arrived it became apparent how thin the walls were as you could hear every little noise including other guests snoring. By this point as you can imagine we were very frustrated and feeling very let down but tried to make the best of our holiday. As for the wifi it is only available by the pool area and very unreliable. The pool area itself is nice and has potential but the owner has no staff other than a masseuse and the maid so there was rarely anyone at the pool bar or obvious food service, plus the fact we did not want to interact with the owner any further as he had been so rude to me. There were a few cats on the property which is expected at most small greek hotels, however most of these cats were petrified of people which concerns me how they are treated and they didn't look well looked after. This was the same case with the dog that was in an awful state, which was saddening but not shocking based off of the character of the owner. Also to note it states online there is private guest parking which is not the case it is a public carpark which gets very busy and was always full and the hotel wasn't even at max capacity. There were also other items mentioned on the webiste that were not provided and our "garden view" was of a mosquito filled hedge that barely concealed the hotel the otherside of the fence which was also very noisy. It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at and we are frustrated that we wasted our money on such an awful place.

When booked online it was 3*hotel(at least it showed that it have),when checked again after arrival it was 1*..when arrived saw this lovely caffe just opposite sea... Which is never opened!!! Got our keys went to our room on the way passing 3 cats!? Ok as a animal lover I didn't mind that... Except next day we found out that there is like 8-9 cats and a dog and they don't look in the best state to be a hotel cats!! The cats were ill, badly looked after and were walking everywhere!!! With everywhere I mean even in our room (2nd floor) when we wanted to leave balcony door opened to let some air in. The lady (living?) under our room never stops shouting , which kind if scared me because she shouts at everyone who works here (like reception lady, cleaning lady, and some guy who worked few days here ) and her cats she shouts at them too. Generally other greeks I met were quiet and nice. Cleaner came after 3 days of our stay changed towels and sheets only, its day 5 our floor is covered in dust. None of the electricals have any sign that it have passed the tests of safety. No duvet covers, hoverer no duvets just some badly looked after blankets all just thrown in wardrobe. Breakfast, room service (nice) asked to have breakfast at 8am, never got it in time usually 8:30-8:45, which is waste of our time. Breakfast same every day, however one day they forgot egg for my friend, and butter, then the other day they didn't put any eggs and forgot to put some tomatoes on my plate- still no butter. Like you can bring different plates to different rooms not to one room!! Bathroom simple, water doesn't go away from shower, and there is no hot water, lightly warm/almost cold but never hot. Finally the two single beds where so old that we decided to sleep in bunkbed as the mattresses where a little bit better. The good thing is the pool is nice size and area around pool is okay, how ever there is glass wall facing the pool and guests with nearby hotels car park. Which means all the guests sunbathing are on the screen for anyone walking past. I do not recommend this hotel.yes its cheap, yes hardly anyone speaks english, yes it have sea view and this lovely looking caffe which haven't been opened a day whiles we stay here... If you traveling cheap yes go for it, but there is much more better options than this.

Just arrived back from a short stay at the Kasapakis apartments as a base for visiting our daughter who is working in a nearby hotel for the summer. The apartments are in an excellent position on the seafront with amazing views and sunsets. Breakfast was included and provided an excellent start to the day. The room was basic but provided everything we needed for our short break. The pool area is good with adequate sun beds and the taverna provides good basic meals for lunch and evening - excellent home made chips. Many thanks to the staff for your hospitality during our stay.
