Stella Palace Aqua Park Resort is celebrated for its sparkling cleanliness and a vibrant atmosphere that includes live music, though it sits next to some loud venues. While the resort offers an array of lauded amenities such as diverse pools and dining options, some guests feel improvements could be made, and question the value, citing unexpected costs. The modern and spacious rooms generally receive positive remarks, but there are occasional mentions of dated decor. Attentive service is a highlight, yet the location receives mixed reviews for its convenience.

Most amazing holiday at Stella Palace. We went in 2017 for our honeymoon and have always wanted to come back. It is now even better than the first time we went. We stayed in the new part of the resort and the rooms felt luxury. Very modern and clean and cleaners come and do a great job and give new clean towels daily. The kids loved having a pool right outside our room and it was great the bar being outside our room also.
The waterpark is a brilliant addition to the hotel, we did not leave it for a full week as the kids just loved being in there. Great for all ages and there is always sunbeds available even if you come a bit later.
However the main pools in the hotel were very disappointing. We loved these pools last time we came but we only used them once this visit as we had to get up really early and miss breakfast just to get a bed as everyone reserves beds super early and goes for breakfast. We sat on the beds first thing and never seen people for about 2 hours on the beds that had been reserved. This should be stopped and someone should be monitoring as it's not very fair, especially for families when kids are desperate to use the pool and they can see all empty beds but we can't sit there.
The food is lovely. The buffet is always fresh good and always being replenished, we never had to wait in queues. The kids also loved the food and tried lots of new things which they loved. The speciality restaurants were lovely and good and service was amazing but I wish more times were available so we didn't have to run into the kids entertainment. We booked first day we arrived but still struggled with times available.
The beach was a bit smelly but still nice to go at night and watch the sunset.
Kids loved watching the films and the entertainment. They got excited every night to stay up and go and see the different shoes.
We only went for 7 nights but wish we had booked longer as none of us were ready to go home.
We are desperate to come back.
We would book every year if we could afford it!!!

Dear katemJ6287QV, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We are truly delighted that your return visit to Stella Palace exceeded your expectations and that your family had such an amazing holiday. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed our new luxury rooms, the excellent housekeeping service, and the convenience of having a pool and bar right outside your accommodation. We are especially pleased that the waterpark was such a highlight for your children and that you found it well-equipped with sunbeds available throughout the day. Your feedback regarding sunbed reservations at the main pools is important, and we will continue working on ways to improve fairness for all guests. It is great to know that you enjoyed the food, both in the buffet and speciality restaurants, and we appreciate your comments on reservation availability. We will take this into consideration for future enhancements. We are truly grateful for your loyalty and would love to welcome you back again. We hope to see you in the future for another unforgettable stay. Best regards Anna-Maria Grigoraki Assistant Guest Relations Manager

We are a couple in our late 20's who stayed for 7 nights in a whirlpool room all inclusive in June. To make your check-in a lot smoother, I recommend downloading the app onto your phone for when you check-in and book the al a carte restaurants. The staff were constantly working their hardest and were so friendly and lovely. Shout out to Athena at the Verdana restaurant who remembered our regular drink preferences.

As we had a whirlpool room, we had access to the verdana restaurant for breakfast which was a lot more quieter than the normal buffet breakfast area.

We know we went at a busy time with lots of families from different countries so we knew what we were going into, but still enjoyed the water slides, beach and sun bathing by the pool and the amazing food at the different restaurants each night. We truly felt relaxed after a very stressful past few months thank you.

The only things I can really comment on that were a slight inconvenience is that there is no handle to hold the shower head up on the wall in the whirlpool bath, so if you did need a quick wash down after being in the pool or ocean, water would get everywhere. If they could put a holder higher on the wall to keep it in one place and a way to stop the water from getting everywhere on the main floor would make it a lot easier for guests and cleaners.

Dear OnAir53706510669, thank you for sharing your wonderful feedback! We are so happy to hear that you had a great and relaxing stay with us and that you found our application and our staff as well very helpful. Additionally, we are glad you enjoyed the breakfast at the Verdana restaurant, the slides, the beach and the various dining options. However, regarding the shower, we will definitely look into installing a better holder for the shower head to improve the guest experience and ensure the area stays dry and comfortable. once again thank you for your constructive feedback and we hope to welcome you back for another great stay soon! Enjoyed staying here, we went as a family of 4 with two children under 7.

The buffet was good and varied, the restaurants you can book into were also good, would recommend booking the Enzo. When booking these do it on your first day! They said it was fully booked but when we went it was mostly empty.

Rooms were modern and clean, food was in our room upon arrival which was a bonus given it was a late flight. Bottled water placed in our room everyday too!

Pools were good, signs up saying you can’t reserve sun beds but people still did, by 7am most of the sun beds were gone. On our last day only did they start taking them off which a few people did kick off, someone said to us that we can’t leave our towels on the beds whilst we go for lunch, but we did and it was fine.

The onsite water park was really good too.

Children’s entrainment was average, was a playlist of children’s songs and they just danced on stage, would have been better if they got the kids more involved.

We wanted a late checkout but they wanted €150 which I think is extortionate to keep your room a little later into the day.

We were not happy during our stay:
Disappointing family rooms with separate rooms were one room is very cold and one is very hot / no windows in the toilet so very smelly / terrace moldy, no gross just soil with mold on the walls/ view was on a passage and next to garbage and trash no pool view as promised at the reception / we complained daily as the rate was very high but front desk didn’t want to change our room despite having daily guests turnover, management listen to our feedback without taking prompt action to find is a better room. Amenities were very basic and cheap for a 5 stars hotel and for the rate we paid. Management acted very cheap kept sending us towel and an espresso machin without proper cups or welcome fruits or similar to such expensive hotel. management gave us 100 € instead of waving one night rate at least from our stay as an apology.
The location of the hotel is really not convenient on the middle of an off road , so be careful if you rent a car as the hotel didn’t bother to place signs on when to turn to reach the hotel. We got lost at night as GPS kept taking us off road where the hotel is at the back in total darkness it was so scary.
Bar tenders: most with an attitude and not happy to keep serving all inclusive guests specially kids !!
buffet starts very early and finish at 9pm so not time to digest lunch qnd always missing dinner as we are not hungry and don’t want to rush go eat before staff kick people out at 9pm . Variety of food was very poor and always the same.
Just wasn’t fresh and not healthy. Orange tasted very bad.
Finally Breakfast was the best we liked so far even fruits were not fresh everyday,
Golfolf car boys were the best and amazing they deserve to be managers, they always look for guest happiness and their comfort and were very prompt and fast unlike management and front desk staff at all who were completely careless and not customer care satisfaction oriented.
activities at night were the only thing we liked but you need reservation. Pool if you swim more than one hour , your towels and bed vanish as staff remove your towels and give the bed to other people without warning which is not acceptable.

Dear Heidi, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your stay with us. We are genuinely surprised to hear about your experience, as it does not reflect the high standards of hospitality and service we strive to provide, nor the positive feedback we typically receive from our guests. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered with your room, especially given that it is a fully renovated room. We understand how important comfort is for our guests, and we regret that we were unable to meet your expectations during your stay. Our Front Desk Team did offer a room change, which you sadly declined, and we wish we could have resolved your concerns in a manner that was satisfactory for you. We appreciate your comments about the food and service, as this is valuable information that we will take into consideration for our ongoing improvements. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our entertainment program and that our buggy drivers made a positive impression on you. They truly are dedicated to ensuring our guests feel comfortable and happy. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope that you might consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with the exceptional experience we are known for. Warm regards, Georgia Fragkiadaki Guest Experience Coordinator

Not a 5 star, iv given it a 3 because that’s what we felt it was and have been to better 4 stars.

The hotel itself has the attention to be a 5 star but most staff need changing, they are rude, abrupt and hostile, even on reception! Only a couple of barmen were professional and polite, the staff in the main restaurant were awful, don’t wait for you to pass, barge into you and the time you have to wait for your drink to come is unacceptable, we had almost finished! We gave up in the end and insisted on going to the drinks area and get our own, much faster!

Housekeeping was also poor and they done the basic that they can, I say basic but sometimes the bins weren’t even changed. This hotel has the most basic housekeeping iv ever experienced and feel we would not been better off self catering, they made the bed and changed the towels.

The food is average, they don’t even have a fish and meat chef that cooks to order! We got reservations for all the restaurants luckily but they were hit and miss only liking 3 out of the 6. Enzo, Almyra and Abrazo.

Our room was nice as it should be but the smell of drains prevented us using one bathroom and toilet and we had to keep those doors shut. I did inform reception of that problem but it wasn’t addressed.

Some of the waterpark staff are rude and contradicting, only some stick to “the rules” that appear to be made up as they go along, and WARNING, although my son is nearly 140cm tall there’s a few things he couldn’t go on, even with an adult! And my other son who is a centre metre off 120 couldn’t go on many at all, again not even with an adult! A lot of parents had issues with this as nothing prewarns nor is it addressed on their website! For a lot of families this is a main factor when booking their holiday.

We believe this hotel has plenty of great reviews because if you go to book a year ahead their are plenty of room options, around 17 I believe ranging from £2000 to £7000, when we booked we only had one option which was around £5000.

So yes, if you book the budget room in the busier area of the hotel but still get the same use and facilities as those paying £7000 of course you are going to be happy and think it’s amazing.

We however have learnt the hard way and wouldn’t return, also what hotel charges guests extra to use the hotel gym! Ridiculous and many things need addressing here.

If you do go be aware the hotel is very isolated and not much around, we took a taxi to aqua world in hersonnisos which was defiantly worth it, such a lovely run place and the animals are very well cared for, you get to interact with many and I lost my fear of snakes here, ended up hiking a huge yellow snake alone, when I came in I wouldn’t even go near it! This was a highlight of our trip and it was nice to get away from the hotel for the day.

Stella Palace may be beautiful and have lovely clean apartments but that is where the good ends. The dining experience is horrendous and worse than a junior school dining hall. The cacophony of noise rises to a deafening crescendo as the complaints start flying. Total lack of staff who are run off their feet. Food seems to be strategically place so that you have to cue for each item of your meal individually, I don't mean each course, I mean each food item. By the time you have a complete meal most of it is cold and it's pretty lacklustre. You are lucky if by the time you get to your table a drink has been poured for you. Despite promising different theme nights in the main Poseidon restaraunt it was mainly fish. Not being a fish eater, I ate mainly pizza which was delicious (have to que for that too 5 -10 minutes) only 2 pizzas were made at once. I visited the 5 star a la carte steakhouse hoping for a respite. While it was quieter the service was extremely slow and poor. I ordered a non all inclusive bottle of wine only to be told 'we don't sell it by the glass' I said that's why I ordered the bottled. The misogyny runs deep here as the male waiter brought out the wine I chose and explained all its properties to my male partner who then asked him to explain to me as I'd chosen it. He did, huffing then asked my partner to try it instead of myself. The main course eventually came out approx 45 minutes from the starter, wrong sauce and honestly I've had better steaks in wotherspoons. I asked for the correct sauce and the waiter denied there was a difference (chimmichurri sauce and a beef with fennel and red wine sauce, definitely a difference) he then brought me the menu and I pointed it out, so 1 correct sauce was provided. Long story short it was terrible and we left before dessert. Fobbed off by reception from the moment we arrived after requesting a late check out, we had a late evening flight home. They told us we could use their shower rooms, we arrived to use shower rooms and were told we had to book them. Apparently you need to be psychic here. We were able to book a shower room for 7pm which was 30 minutes before our pick up and gave us 15 minutes to eat at the restaurant that has a 20 min cue and a crypton factor approach to meal placement!
Nowhere near 5 star, will never return, would never recommend, thank god the weather was fantastic.

Dear 09365KEemmam, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent stay at Stella Palace. We sincerely apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. Regarding your comments about our main restaurant, please rest assured that we take them seriously and will use them to improve the flow and quality of service. As concerns our steakhouse restaurant, while we generally receive very positive feedback about this, we value your observations as they help us identify areas where we can do better. The incident involving the wine and the manner in which the waiter addressed you and your partner is unacceptable and does not align with our values of equality and respect for all guests. As for the shower rooms, reservations are indeed required to accommodate all our guests in the best possible way. However, we are glad you were ultimately able to make a reservation, even if the process was not as smooth as it should have been. Once again, thank you for your feedback. We hope to have the opportunity in the future to welcome you back and provide you with an experience that meets and exceeds your expectations. We have just returned from a weeks stay at Stella Palace. We booked a sharing pool room which was on the first floor at the 900 rooms opposite the water park. This was amazing! Lovely spacious room with our own bar just outside, this is the best room we have ever had on a family holiday.

Pros for me:
Amazing family room
Great on-site water park with really nice food
Comfy sun loungers
Really friendly staff - Zulu the animation guy was great as was Adel
The a la carte restaurants are amazing quality, we ate at the Asian, Mexican and steak. Thought the portion sizes in the Veranda were quite small however Enso and Abrazzo were amazing! It was my daughter’s birthday and I asked for a cake, they also decorated the table which I didn’t expect, this was a lovely touch.
Great selection of cocktails
Crepe bar was brilliant, slushes also available.
Service in general and from the servers in posiden was good, they were always quick with our drinks orders.
Brilliant pizza and ice cream area in posiden.

Improvements that could be made:
Some of the items at the buffet were not named so I didn’t know what type of meat etc “dish of the day” was
There was always a big queue in the morning for omelettes and often the fried eggs would completely run out as the staff were busy, this happened a few times.
There is no iron in the room though you could call reception and request this for one hour. I did this twice during our stay however I had to call and chase this 2-3 times. I think an iron and ironing board should be included as standard at a 5 star hotel like other resorts.
The poolside toilets are old and need refurbished.
The evening entertainment wasn’t the best. Our favourite nights were bingo and the quiz, both hosted by Adel who was brilliant. We did not rate the other acts, we thought it was quite poor, the Cuba show was ok.
There isn’t much outside the hotel though we did do the jet boat which we booked through the guy near the animation hut, this was brilliant.

We did have a great holiday and would return with some small improvements this could really be a proper 5 star hotel.

Housekeeping.
Room cleaned every day, bedding cleaned, fresh towels and bottled water replenished. These ladies work hard. Pillows, 1 too low, 2 too high.

We had a family suite with pool view in the 900’s block. I would just say there aren’t really enough sun beds for everyone here. Considering you’ve paid a premium for a shared private pool, you should expect to be able to use the pool and have a seat around it for when you get out.

Poseidon restaurant (main buffet)

Breakfast, there’s usually a queue for the freshly made omelettes. Not sure why, on the occasion there was a short queue I tried one, they are not great, and I use them as a healthy option but they use a lot of oil in the process. I didn’t eat any other hot food, just had croissants and bread. The orange juice is nice, tastes freshly squeezed. The tea is good, I can’t have breakfast without a cuppa.

Evening meals it can be a bit mad depending what time you go. We found 8pm was pretty manic. There is not enough food, quantity or variation. What is there is generally good although some of the food is not always hot. The fresh pizza is always good.

The snack bay by the slides again is OK, catering for the masses so cheap and cheerful is what you’ll get here. Everything is ready made up, gyros, burgers, nuggets and chips etc. There is also a nice ice cream bar in the waterproof with waffle cones we were pleased to find.

The bookable restaurants were all nice and definitely worth visiting. The service and the food here is great.

The staff at the bar by the pool were nice and friendly.

Overall it was a good holiday but after reading reviews on the Facebook group for this hotel I was expecting a lot more. This was no better than others we have visited in Greek islands. Would I return, probably not. There’s really not a lot of entertainment and things going on for the kids to keep them entertained.

Really enjoyed our holiday here staying with my wife and 2 children aged 14 and 11.
We stayed in one of the new rooms with the shared pool up near the Waterpark which was spacious, had 2 bathrooms and a good standard. The 900 bar located here was great as it was never crowded and easy to get served quickly. Only complaint about the room would be that we didn’t get any sun where the loungers were but there were usually some free around the pool.
We spent most of our time around the main pool area and it was good to see the staff removing towels from guests reserving them and then disappearing. Despite it being the school summer holidays there was only 1 occasion where we couldn’t get sun beds and this was at 11am. There were still plenty at the Waterpark free.
The Waterpark is by far this hotels best asset, it is of the standard where you would pay to go to it. The snack bar here also had some great street food style meals available too.
If I had to say how this hotel could improve I would say that the buffet for the evening meal I wasn’t always spoilt for choice and could have more variety but I always ate more than I would normally do and it’s disappointing that the all inclusive finishes at 11pm because the DJ that is on 10.30pm to 1am is very poorly attended and it could be a good atmosphere if more people went.
Never went to the amphitheatre to watch the entertainment but it looked crowded and if I had young children who needed their pushchair you have to leave them outside

We were a group of 12 (ages 3 to 73)- and we all had an amazing stay.
the resort is always clean with bins and empty cup holders scattered all over.
staff was welcoming and attentive on all levels (front desk/concierge, waiters/bartenders, and golf cart drivers).
Restaurants- the main one is busy and can be noisy but there are plenty of options and no lines. Elia and Veranda are much calmer and recommended.
for dinner, we visited Elia (great!) Almyra (nice, small portions) and Veranda (great steaks!)
the waterpark is really above expectations. plenty of slides for all ages, never too busy, nice lunch options for the kids (and ice cream), and 2 bars that serve beer and low-alcohol cocktails. we spent a few hours each day there.
we booked the Grand villa which is a great option for big families. it has 4 bedrooms (3 with double beds and one with double bed and 2 more single beds), each with shower and toilet (and a fifth toilet for "guests"), a big private pool, coffee machine and a fridge full of drinks (both re-stackable at need). only downside to the villa is the adjacent venue that plays loud music every night from 9 to midnight. (wasn't too much of a problem for us as we were dead tired by the end of the day)
