We used the hotel when my friends and I came for a conference to Kandy. Courteous and very helpful staff (Sampath). Amazing tea & coffee. Stunning architectural beauty (internal and external) to the place. Most importantly hygienically clean bedrooms (literally sparkling white bedsheets - HUGE PLUS FOR ME) and washrooms. A few downsides: - Due to repair/restoration work of the Ampitiya road, we had a few water stoppages. - Few times electricity went off. - Please please humbly requesting you’ll to change the toilet doors to soundproof (for obvious reasons 😜)

It is truely a 5 star hotel. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Their warmly welcome feels you are important. (traditional drummers). Rooms are nicely arranged and spacious. The swimming pool is small but having a nice view. Restaurant staff also very supportive. Food standard is good. But expected more varieties. Beautiful pictures, Ancient Kandyan decors, architectural design give more value to the hotel. A cool , nice place to stay couple days to (specially to foreigners).

We stayed here for a night on a tour of Sri Lanka. Wonderful little hotel in Kandy, very caring and happy staff. Definitely recommend staying here. Nice rooftop area where you can have dinner or drinks upon request.

If you're planning to visit Kandy, this hotel is a one of a few variants with that amount of price you should try. Quiet atmosphere in the living room with a creative design in hi-tech style, TV, comfortable couch and a couple of tables especially for your tasty breakfast, that will make your day immediately your waking up. You can taste a local food as well as your personal Western choice only. Veg or non-veg dishes are same possible. For along travellers, couples and companies! In your room you will sleep like a baby on a big orthopaedic mattress with a king size, where nothing can break your rest. Enough space for your baggage, fen on the ceiling, AC conditioner, spacious wardrobe, big mirror near a bed, different options in lights and magazine table for your laptop or new souvenirs. Before walking away you will easily take a warm or hot shower alone or with your couple. And then, after busy day, you can spend a time with a cup of tea on the roof top with comfortable seats and tables and see a really amazing view for mountains. At the night time you can also create many romantic moments under stars, in the morning — practice yoga or other physical exercises. The staff will carry about you as about apple of the eye. Because you are the guest. And in SriLankan culture a guest is like a god. Feel free to ask them any questions about touristic places or a services. They will try to make your time perfect, while will be always smile through their hearts. You will enjoy in this simple truth, that in the Royal Crown you will feel only positive energy. The location of the hotel so close to the most famous places. You can have fun by walking around or get a cab, or rent a scooter nearby. Some shops you can also find on the way to the center of Kandy with fruits, or other simple things you need. I'm sure in that it's about 4 stars exactly!…

This modern, sofisticated and tastefully decorated hotel is one of the best I have come across in India and Sri Lanka. The beds and pillows are excellent and the crisp white linen sheets are a delight. Enjoy the panoramic views of the town and the surrounding countryside from the rooftop terrace. Well managed, excellent staff. Dinner was fab and the breakfast was amazing! I long to return and stay longer. Thanks for the good memory.

My sisters and I stayed at the Royal Crown on my last night in Sri Lanka. They took a special request as I was yet to try egg hoppers and so they happily cooked us some for dinner (normally a breakfast treat). The roof terrace is a lovely spot for dinner too. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were incredibly hospitable. Perfect last night in Sri Lanka.

A true sample of excellent hospitality! 😊 We were impressed by all of the stuff in the hotel, they were lovely and helpful. The cook is great! We ate the best club sandwiches in our lives here! This hotel was recommended by our driver and I must say he hit the spot. It’s a great value for price. The room was very nice, bed very comfortable, staff incredibly friendly, and the food an absolute delight! They even set up a table on the terrace for us. I’d really recommend this place

We stayed at the royal crown hotel for two nights. It's a brand new beautiful hotel located close to the city. The service was excellent and we were made feel very welcome by the lovely staff as soon as we arrived. They made every effort to make sure we had whatever we needed and extra special effort for breakfast to give us a taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. Would highly recommend staying here if you're in Kandy.
