Reading the negative comments here, I'm puzzled why some people were expecting a higher class hotel. It is advertised as a "wilderness lodge" so there really shouldn't be any misunderstanding that the place is going to be a bit sparse and not so "luxurious". The lodge is expansive and is divided into 4 sections: Princess Villages, Caribou Ridge, Wolf Den,...

Princess lodges ate all great. This one is in the middle of everything. Restaurants & shops on property and many more right across the street. Even the park is a walkable distance. (But take the shuttle so you can save your energy for hiking in the park. )

We stayed here in July during our cruise tour with Princess. We were looking forward to it, thinking it would be an upscale hotel/lodge. We were very disappointed. We travel a lot and normally stay at moderately priced hotels, but this was one step below. Most of the Fairfield Inns and Comfort Inns we stay at are better accommodations than...

Room was clean, carpet needed updating bed was hard and flat king bed had only three pillows for a couple .No fridge in room only to places to eat on property the food was fair at best ,service was top notch the biggest thing to remember is that you are in the middle of nowhere.

The hotel room at this lodge was just a very basic/average hotel room. There was nothing special. A rating of 2-1/2 would be more accurate for the room. Princess controls most of the venues there now. They booked us here as part of our cruse package. The real reason you are here is because of Denali National park and Mt....

The Mt. McKinley lodge was more spectacular and we enjoyed the restaurants more. However, we had a great comfortable stay here. Princess really takes care of you on the land portion. They handle your luggage between stops with care and speed. Our entire land adventure from Fairbanks down to the boat in Wittier was easy and filled with great excursions.

My first impression of Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge was that it was warm and inviting - and huge! The lobby in the main building is a very busy place where folks are checking in and the many tours gather to meet throughout the day. Downstairs is a food court where you can buy snacks, sandwiches, coffee and breakfast items in...

This place is out of this world. It just doesn't feel real. Rooms are warm and comfortable (end of summer) no additional heating required. There is no fridge in the room so no milk is supplied for coffee (only creamer which I understand is common in this part of the world but I find weird). Free wifi available throughout lodge...

We stayed here two nights in August as a part of our Princess Connoisseur cruise tour pre-cruise. We were very pleased with our room and the property. We had a lovely room in the A-B building section of the lodge which had great views over the river and trees behind the property. Our room was large with a sofa and...
