We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Elpida Hotel. Prior to travelling we read the brochure and website info which states that there is a steep hill to the hotel - there is, hence the beautiful views, its tough getting up there but not impossible and quite steep for about 75 metres but well worth it to ensure...

The fact that a 45 day old puppy bit you, and my Golden Retriever (not Lab, but obviously you can't tell the difference...) did not wag its tail to you proves that dogs do have the 6th sense...and can tell who is what...

Just returned from a week at the Elpida hotel. Stayed in a 2-bedroomed apartment that was on the 1st. floor with some sea and mountain views. Some views were obscured by trees and there was a road directly outside the rooms that serviced the hotel and lower down the hill a busy main road. There was no noise at night from...

I would consider myself to be a friendly tolerant and reasonable person. Luckily during my stay I was with family and friends who made it a good holiday. The atmosphere at the Elpida amongst most the staff was one of indifference and verging on rudeness, this applies to the maids and the staff at both bars, the restaurant staff were...

It is maybe 2 star hotel - very poor breakfast and rooms were not very clean. You will need to pay separately for AC and safety box.The room was full with spiders, even under the pillow...If you are looking for a place just to stay trough the night - you can try.

My partner and I stayed at the Elpida between 6-13 Aug on our first holiday abroad as a couple. We chose to stay here despite the bad reviews on Trip Advisor and in our opinion it was very much a case of 'you can't please everyone all the time', so we took the positives and hoped for a good, realxing...

We had a fantastic 11 day holiday and arrived back in the UK last week. The area has two wonderful beaches - one quiet and one with beautiful sand and clear blue sea, fantastic tavernas (Kavousanos being the best and friendliest. Family run, reasonably priced with a fantastic sea view!), shops for whatever you need and welcoming locals. Makre sure...

There is no such thing as an objective view, as is evident in the previous reviews - better or worse. However your comments are mostly reasonable, make sense and are not aggressive. The thing that troubles me the most is how you paid extra for a garden/sea view room. I am saying this since they are two completely different things...

8 wonderful days with wonderful people. Service 24h. Great food, friendly staff, nice hotel and a great atmosphere. The ideal temperature, beautiful beaches, clear water all this makes me want to go back. I would recommend to people who appreciate peace.

we arrived at night, to the steep hill as mentioned, to be given our apartment, we called the dungeon, it was my first holiday in 12 years, the rooms were really inadequate, air-con in only one room, which meant the other bedroom was unbearably hot,we had to ask for clean towels, the shower head was not attached to the wall, and...

Dear Steve, the price of Absolut Vodka and any mixer (cola, lemonade, etc) is 3.50 euros! I think this alone proves the validity of your comments. Obviously even the "watered down" drinks affect your judgment.
