I give this hotel 3 stars for staff, private beach and cleanliness. The location is quiet but not too far from Corfu Town, although if using the buses the access road to the hotel is not nice in the dark. On check-in there was a lack of information regarding the hotel & facilities. We found the Hotel App but even that was limited. We managed to reserve seats on a shuttle bus to town through the app, but there was no information about how to get back, so had to ask. The hotel should be promoting this as a useful service. Maybe an information sheet in every room would help. Several reviews praise the spa but we found this was the biggest disappointment during our stay. Couldn't initially find the spa in the hotel so asked at reception and was told it was outside towards the car park and open to 7pm. Turned up at 6pm for a swim only to be told pools close at 6pm! Tried again next day. The ambient air temperature around the pool is quite cool (as was the water temperature) so it was a quick swim and the out to the jacuuzi. Another disappointment. The jacuzzi is not hot - only warm - because it is the size of a small pool. There were 2 saunas, one of which was closed so the remaining one was very busy. The food at breakfast & dinner buffets was generally good but quality seemed to depend on who was cooking it that day. Sometimes the food should have been hotter, but that's a common issue on any buffet. Quite a few dishes were not labelled so not always sure what we ate (yes, we asked but we don't speak Greek and understandably not all staff knew English well enough, so labels would be good). There was always more Italian food than Greek on offer, which was a shame. Our room overlooked the car park and marina which was a pleasant enough view. Balcony was good but room is basic. Beware that the room doors were noisy on closing. We always knew when our neighbours were in/out. Final word- the staff. Everyone was lovely to deal with and a credit to the company, especially the waitresses in the restaurant. …
We have just returned after a 14 day stay at this lovely hotel again - our 7th consecutive since 2015. The staff (in fact all Corfoits!) make the hotel and resort one of the friendliest to stay in. Special thanks once again to Kostas who ensures everyone’s dining experience runs like clockwork and is pleasurable. We were totally spoilt by Angelos and Christianos at breakfast time and by Alexis in the Parea restaurant (with a great sense of humour). The sunrises and sunsets over the bay and marina are breath taking. We were lucky enough to celebrate my birthday on this holiday in the Presidential Suite and totally recommend it for anyone wishing for that special something - I can’t imagine another holiday measuring up to it! Counting down to next year already … great weather, hospitality, food and beautiful surroundings.…
Lovely hotel, great value for money. Beautiful sea view, good sized room. Excellent location, only 15 mins from the airport. Breakfast and dinner were extensive, something for almost everyone. Staff in the dining hall were lovely, especially Emma :) We had a nice spa experience too. The pool was wonderful and it was a joy to have a dip (a little cold at first!), however I read when googling that the hotel has a kids pool - we didn’t see it so assumed that was why families were in the main infinity pool. A separate kids pool would be great as adults were using the main pool to cool off and get some lengths in - this was often interrupted by families playing ball games, jumping in etc. My only criticism of the hotel is that it isn’t clear upon check-in that there is a daily tax, so this is an unwelcome surprise at the end of the stay. It may well have been in the small print upon checking in, but as it was very late due to a delayed flight, we scan-read so this missed point may have been our fault. It would be good to have this verbally confirmed though. We stayed in October half term, right at the end of the season, so the weather was perfect and hotel didn’t seem too busy.…
From the moment we arrived until we left we were looked after by the kindest, friendliest staff, especially Eirini who did so much to help us arrange our BBQ boat trip and trip to Albania and was genuinely a lovely and interesting person to talk with. We were also grateful for the concern shown to us by Gerry, the manager, when we had a problem which needed resolving. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location and is surrounded by peaceful, well tended gardens. The view from our bedroom towards the Albanian mountains was amazing. The breakfast in both restaurants is generous with lots of choice and the evening entertainment was varied and of good quality. October was a good choice of season for our holiday as it was still very warm but not crowded. We highly recommend staying in this beautiful hotel.…
Wow what a place - just got home from a 5 day stay here and honestly never felt so sad to leave a place. Staff are wonderful / rooms are clean and comfortable/ beach is beautiful and lovely calm ionian seas / pool is fabulous and plenty of sun beds - just a lovely lovely place to rest and relax If you walk to the marina it is a little precarious- poorly lit and bad paving but that’s not anything to do with the hotel just a hint about the surrounding area for people who might be less able to walk. The breakfast bar was brilliant and had everything you could want Evening entertainment was just excellent and I honestly cannot find fault with this hotel
Great resort and lovely staff to make you feel welcomed. Nice private beach to relax and a mobile app service for drinks and food. Also a daily service to old town if required. An area to improve would be the housekeeping as some days we put the sign up to not come in but the team came in to change towels etc.
We returned to this place after 2 years, and it is still great. We rent a spacious bungalow steps away from the beautiful, calm and sandy beach. The coastline is beautiful, there are a couple of water sport activities you can do. The pool area is nice. The breakfast is very good, there is nothing missing. Same goes for the dinner buffet. Service is friendly and competent. The gym is ok at best, no one really takes care of it. But better than nothing. The beautiful Corfu City is just 20 taxi minutes away. We would come a third time for sure. Good value for money, compared with other places at the same (high) level.
The hotel is highly recommended. Its location is perfect both in terms of view and in terms of its proximity to the city. The staff did everything to help and make our time pleasant (especially the charming Irini). In the hotel, apart from the dining room, there are two good restaurants with excellent service. In conclusion highly recommend.
Beautiful hotel! Everything is clean, nice beautiful beach and swimming pool. Excellent food and most important, excellent and kind service from all staff, starting with the reception, dining room staff, and room cleaning, bar staff – everyone were amazing! Highly recommended!
This resort is in one of the most beautiful locations we have ever been to and my wife and I are widely travelled. We have just returned from five nights at the Kontolaki Bay and were quite happy to not go out of the property other than visiting the local tavernas for dinner as we did not feel anywhere else on the island could be more stunning, there are two private beaches with pristine sand and crystal clear calm warm sea, also a lovely swimming pool with incredible views over the Ionian sea to the Greek and Albanian hills and Corfu town. The property certainly makes the most of the unique location and the bar, restaurant and bedroom areas all blend in to the beautiful external areas in a very natural way. We had no need to request anything during our stay as everything was thought of and available the staff we came in to contact with were without exception friendly and helpful and seemed very proud of where they worked. Would recommend the sea front rooms one of which we were lucky enough to stay in you literally wake up to the sun rising over the bay and all you hear at night is the sound of the sea softly lapping over the beach. In our opinion this is the place to stay in Corfu we felt like we were in a bit of paradise.…
