Check in - smooth check in, really friendly reception staff. Rooms - fantastic! Modern, extremely clean, very comfy beds, air con is a dream, bathroom perfect, views are stunning. (We had 2 rooms, 1 maisonette (117) over looking top pool, mountains and some sea! and 1 double (109) over looking top pool.) Restaurant - very clean, never had to queue to get seated, service fantastic and food was great, in fact, I'd say that the buffet food was more 4 star standard than 3 star. The selection was different every night so none of us struggled to find a plate full of food that we enjoyed! All inclusive drinks - small selection of spirits to choose from, coffee not great, cocktails not the best but served in large plastic cups and plenty of alcohol in them. You can pay a surcharge for better cocktails (prices between 5 and 8 euros.) Pools areas - stunning! Super clean, very relaxing and plenty of sun beds! We never struggled to get 5 together. Service - brilliant. All staff were very friendly and always greeted us with a smile, asked how we were and if we were enjoying our holiday. Restaurant manager very on top of everything to make sure things ran smoothly. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Maids really friendly and kept rooms looking clean and tidy! Location - opposite a couple of restaurants and a really reasonably priced convenience style shop opposite which sells everything you could need! Beach 10 minute walk away where sunbeds are free to use when buying drinks/food which are not expensive! Sea is gorgeous. Entertainment - there is none. The hotel has 3 pool areas and I think that they could do with having some music playing at one of them as the place is so quiet and relaxing that they could afford to have 1 area that played some music. There is no evening entertainment and although there were 5 of us so we made our own entertainment, we saw lots of couples looking bored in the evenings! Over all - this hotel is gorgeous. I would return without a doubt. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful break! Its definitely worth hiring a car as companies will deliver the car to the hotel for free and the roads are all quite easy to drive on (and quiet!) Go and visit shipwreck beach! The views are absolutely incredible. Get there early so that you don't have to queue for hours!

The overall experience at this hotel expresses excellence. Everything was more than great. The hotel is huge, has two large swimming pools, the rooms have been renovated. It is located on a hill, a 10-minute walk from the island of Cameo, as well as the first sandy beach. A good starting point for exploring the island. The food is excellent, the staff helpful and they follow the rules regarding covid. All inclusive also includes alcoholic beverages, except some special ones. Truly fantastic holiday. Recomeded.

We booked this holiday last minute after having to change from going to Turkey due to it being on the red list. We were initially quite pleased with our choice and were looking forward to it. I can’t fault jet 2 with the travel and transfers, 25 mins from the airport ,everything was smooth and easy to follow and simple. Hotel- When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist didn’t seem aware of how to smile, she was more concerned in charging us for everything possible and being done with it. She gave us pieces of paper with all information on, and didn’t spend a second explaining how anything worked in the hotel or even buffet times. There are no maps given of the hotel and you’re left to pretty much figure it out. The hotel was well maintained and clean all the time. Staff in the restaurant were pleasant and talkative, bar staff were okay depending on the day. Room- the room was lovely, we were in 618. The only grumble we had was the bed was 2x single beds pushed together that constantly fell away from each other and the shower frequently leaked. But it was always clean, sheets changed and fresh towels daily. There are no draws just shelves but there was plenty of space to put things, plenty of lighting and mirrors and plugs! Our balcony was directly above the “pool bar/entertainment” which became inconvenient due to people staring at you and into your balcony constantly but we just put towels over the glass and it gave us privacy. People could also stare into our room from the restaurant. Balcony was nice and spacious and well maintained. Pools- we loved the pools and spent time at a few of them, they always appeared clean and well maintained. We found sun beds were easy to reserve if you got up at 6:30am. We would frequently watch people reserving them at midnight putting towels down.. but we never went without and the sun beds were really comfy, not the horrible plastic type. Food/drink- in all honestly, this was rubbish. The food was limited choice- for dinner and tea it was pasta, fatty pork and greasy potatoes most days with more salad choices than hot. It was repetitive and not a good variety… and me and my partner are the least fussy eaters ever! We used the pool bar most days for dinner as it was just different to eating the same thing twice a day.. but even this became tedious as the pork was fatty and not brilliant. And it was again the same daily. The hot dogs were lovely, I had no issues with the chips or sandwiches served here they were nice but not what you want every day. My partner liked the burgers! Drink was rubbish, watered down quarter pints, half a measurement of spirits and rola cola. Only thing I enjoyed was the lemonade and again we are the least fussy drinkers. My partner enjoyed the limited cocktail menu. There were frequent added l costs, such as if you wanted a drink after 11pm your only choice was a €9-10 drink in the upstairs bar. If you wanted orange juice it was extra, and certain cocktails were extra. I don’t see the need for this when you pay for all inclusive. You couldn’t order more than one drink per person which we were very rudely told by a bar staff, so found if sunbathing at the top pool you had to walk to the one and only bar for a drink it wasn’t the best layout. The restaurant required you to wear a mask and gloves to collect food, which was a brill idea I think to tackle any unwanted germs spreading. Entertainment- this was the biggest disappointment for us. We expected something more, maybe a bit of background noise or something in the evening but every night you had whatever card games you bought and either your balcony or a plastic chair next to the pool where you could sit in silence. The wildlife was louder than any entertainment provided. - accompanied by a quarter of a watered down pint. The bar was shut at 11 and that was that as the staff began packing the chairs and tables away to put sun beds back out, lights were off at 12- and that was your hint to go to bed. We didn’t do any trips so I can’t comment on that, although many did recommend. There is somewhere to book them directly outside the hotel. There is a supermarket across from the hotel and the people who own it were lovely- it was filled with best enough everything you can need and wasn’t overpriced. We found ourselves here most evenings getting drinks or snacks. We found the hotel to have little English people, and some of those that weren’t we found to be really rude. There were a group of women that made me and my partner feel that uncomfortable due to staring at us and laughing for 3 days strait, we avoided the restaurant until we knew they’d gone home and ate out. They did it round the pool at daytime and evening at the bar or in the restaurant. If you can I HIGHLY recommend going to Porto resto which is directly opposite the hotel. Sofia and everyone there are so welcoming, friendly and warm. Not to mention the food is beautiful!! We ate here 3 times and they were hands down the best nights of the holiday. We’d go back purely to visit here. We walked to the strip a few times that was around 20 mins, a taxi was around €8. The beach was 20 mins give or take. Overall a holiday is what you make it, we went to relax and we did just that. We just wish the food was better and there was more going on at night- I never want to play uno again!! We probably wouldn’t return but we’re grateful to have been able to go.

We were expecting a fantastic family holiday at this hotel given previous reviews but definitely think we must have stayed somewhere else! Will start with the pro’s: Room was amazing, we booked a triple room for 2 adults & 1 child aged 11 & when we entered the room (no. 213) we had been given one of the family rooms with the upstairs maisonette. The room was modern, spotless, huge balcony with sun beds & hot tub (not filled) probably the best family room we have ever stayed in. Sun beds - the only hotel where we have not had to get up at silly o’clock to get a sun bed by the pool/s. Always plenty available even at gone 8:30am. Hotel was immaculate everywhere & Covid adherence was fantastic. Now for the Con’s, which there are many! Food: We found the food awful, we are not fussy eaters & have stayed in many all inclusive hotels before. Breakfast ok, although would be nice to have a fresh omelette station. Lunch we only ate once on arrival in the restaurant but similar food to that of an evening. Used the pool snack bar every day & most days it was a lottery if it was going to be hot! Chips were cold & hard, pork gyros was 1 piece of meat to 30 pieces of fat. Burgers ok but all reheated! Greek salad nice but some days no feta cheese, herbs, olives, just tomato, cucumber & onion, I would call that just a salad! Evening meals were a mish mash of anything, very hard to make a decent meal out of the choices available. Food station too small for the number of people with limited choice. All meat was tough, full of fat & tasted like the cheapest cuts possible. Most nights we just ate pasta with the choice of sauce. Absolutely nothing specific for children, most nights saw them with a plate of plain boiled rice or pasta. Spoke to other families there who were of the same opinion. Good choice of fruit & desserts….helps fill you up! Atmosphere - non existent! Staff do work hard but absolutely no interaction with guests, they serve you & its job done, onto the next. Sofia was the only bar member in the day who attempted to have a chat with you. Most staff seem to relish on being able to enforce the hotel rules of which there are many! Daughter told off for jumping in the pool, she was told the manager would be called if she did it again, couple sat on the side of the pool dipping their feet in told off because they had a drink in their hand & told to sit on their sunbed, people told off for putting their feet on the plastic pool chairs to get their legs in the sun, the list is endless to be honest, it’s almost as if they don’t want you there spoiling their spotless hotel, no holiday vibe or fun what so ever. Drinks - shocking! Beer was like water, very small glass only half full most of the time. We only drank gin & tonic of an evening & the measure of gin wasn’t even a single, felt like we were just drinking tonic water. All drinks served in plastic glasses. Whilst we appreciate this in the day, this is not acceptable on an evening. They seriously need to think about the lay out of the hotel as this is the only place to have an all-inclusive drink at night. The rule is you have to take your empty glass back in order to be able to get another drink! The end time is 11:00pm & there is no deviation from this what so ever. A few people tried to get 2 drinks each near to 11pm but this was not allowed! We refused to visit the sky bar where you had to pay for drinks as we had already paid all inclusive so why would you, never had to do this at any other hotel. We did stock our room fridge with beers from the supermarket so we could sit on our balcony to have a few drinks, however all balcony lights were automatically turned off at midnight. So we were sat in complete darkness, felt like school where the dormitory lights go out telling you it’s time for bed. We have routine every night at home to get to bed because of full timework, certainly don’t expect to be basically told to go to bed on holiday?! Entertainment - none existent, we absolutely didn’t want Butlins but also didn’t want to feel like we were in an old people’s home! A bit of lively music would have helped but nothing. Of an evening every table, young, old, & families resorted to playing cards & board games. We had to go & buy Uno to try & occupy ourselves. We walked out of the hotel to try & relieve the boredom but very little around it and what there was, very few people there. Having stayed in Kalamaki a few times over the years we resorted to getting a taxi there, in total 4 nights out of 12 so we could have a nice restaurant meal and lively bar atmosphere. The taxi’s cost between 15-17 euros each way, so couldn’t do it every night, plus the cost of food & drinks, when we had already paid for all inclusive. To be honest would have done it every night given how poor the food & lack of atmosphere/entertainment was at this hotel. The bar was set out for the evening exactly the same as the day e.g. plastic chairs, plastic tables, plastic glasses. They could at least put comfy cushions on the chairs. This is definitely not a family friendly hotel, daughter asked for an ice cream a couple of minutes after the cut off time & told she couldn’t have one even though the freezer was directly behind the barman! Overall opinion is if you want to go on holiday, be treated almost as a corporate/business guest to literally have a room & go to bed with no atmosphere then this is the place for you. If you want a holiday with personal staff, a bit of light entertainment and some fun/ holiday vibe then this is absolutely not the hotel for you. Sorry for the long review but felt it was important to be honest! Our review is probably in the minority but had we read the concerns we have raised we would not have booked this hotel and will definitely not be returning! Just to add couldn’t fault Jet2 holidays as a tour operator. Finally & totally not reflective of the hotel but there were very few English guests during our stay. This is probably due to Covid as a member of staff said there use to be a large proportion of English at this hotel but it is now predominantly guests from the Netherlands.
