A fantastic hotel with very nice staff, impeccable service. Very fresh, the buffet is very good and appetizing. Several nice pools, calm and nice and peaceful in the evening. The area is luxurious and there are Greek restaurants nearby. Directly across the street there is a service shop and more within walking distance. Great snorkeling around Cameo Island, it costs 5 euros to visit, but then you get a key ring with your own photo. We saw lots of animals, both on land and in water. Note, wear bathing shoes! Easy to travel to Zakynthos town by local bus. Everyone at the hotel greets you with a smile. Can really recommend this place to everyone!

It's so nice leaving a really positive review - Honestly I couldn't find any fault with this Hotel. Check in was fast and efficient all done within 3 minutes. Room ( No 101 ) was perfect, good size, plenty of storage space, Tea & Coffee making facilities, fridge, beds were reasonably comfortable. Bathroom was a generous size with gratis toiletries, decent size shower that was reasonably powerful. Room was spotlessly clean when we arrived and remained so throughout our 1 week stay - A credit to the hard work the Room Cleaning Team do. The all inclusive package was very good, Breakfast was excellent, always plenty of choice as was lunch and dinner. Food was always fresh and seemed only to be cooked in smallish quantities so wasn't kept artificially warm. Restaurant staff were really efficient, tables were cleared quickly and drinks topped up as required. Bar staff like all the staff at this Hotel were excellent. All inclusive drinks package was OK but if you want premium drinks you have to pay. Local Beer & Wine were good enough. Pool Areas like the entire Hotel were kept spotlessly clean as was the 3 Pools. Plenty of Sun Loungers. Would I stay here again? A resounding Yes, but maybe not in the High Season, I would imagine it can become a little overcrowded. Credit goes to the Management and Staff, Thank you for a Lovely Weeks Holiday.

From the moment we checked in everything was positive. ALL staff were exceptionally friendly and helpfull. I know we were in low season so hotel was much quieter then I expect it is in high season. But room (101) was lovely, good size, cleaned daily and quiet. Pools were large, clean, with plenty of loungers. Food was help yourself buffet in main restaurant, it was always beautifully presented, good variety and high standard. Wine served at your table. Bar area was nice, but cocktails maybe not the best. More snack food available in afternoon fresh and varied. Hotel in good location with short stroll down to beach and to harbour when you can get biat trips. A turtle lives in the harbour area so you stand very good chance of seeing him. We would definitely come back but personally I would avoid high season. Thank you Zante Sun Resort

Highly reccomend this hotel! The staff was lovely, everywhere was clean and tidy, there was plenty of food choices at meal times and from the snack bar. The hotel is in a really good area, it's not too far from the main strip (30 minute walk) and a short walk to the harbour and cameo island (10 minute). There is a really good shop just across the road that sells almost everything you could want/need including souvenirs a lot cheaper than shops on the strip. The hotel itself has 3 different pool areas, one was closed off when we visited due to the end of the season but we believe this looks like more of a child specific pool as it was relatively small and didn't look deep. The main pool is 1.5m deep for most of it, so the average person can stand comfortably. They have a sky fall lounge which is seperately charged to the all inclusive, but well worth paying for drinks. We visited it a few occasions for something a little different and the bar man was very friendly and helpful with deciding what to drink from the cocktail list. The views from hear are also amazing! You can go sit out there without buying a drink if you want to which was also nice. I don't have any faults with the hotel at all! A lot of reviews mentioned the dress code for the main restaurant but we had no issues. I believe if you was to wear swimwear or tracksuits/football logo gear you may be asked to change into something more appropriate but nobody was turned away from what we saw.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in and I am well travelled. We travelled with family all adults. Both rooms were clean and comfortable with facilities to make a morning cuppa. There was plenty of space to hangs clothes and we were provided with an iron and board. The decor was lovely, the pillow were not so great for us but this is a person opinion. There was a tv in the room, only 1 English speaking channel but hey ho we were on holiday so not much tv watching going on. Shower was great and plenty of hot water. The pool area were lovely cleaned every day, no issues with getting a sun bed and all were functional and clean. The only thing we didn’t appreciate were the constant smokers around us but again this was to be expected. The pools were a little cold for me but still used them every day. The weather was amazing. The pool bar and drinks were fine I was a little worried after reading previous reports, the drinks were not branded but tasted fine and were perfectly acceptable. The snack bar was ok but I have had better. However hardly used as the restaurant was amazing. The food served in the main restaurant at all meal times was perfect, hot and lots of choice. The head chef was present at every meal and was constantly checking on everything, making sure all was perfect. The management were also constantly present ensuring all guests were having an pleasant experience. Reception staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. The sky fall bar was lovely and yes you have to pay a little extra but this was worth a few euros for lovely cocktails and great views. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a lovely quiet time with amazing food in an area which is just beautiful. I would ignore any reviews which are not positive. I think some people just like to find the negative in most things. I couldn’t really find anything to moan about and I am a picky person who expects to get the experience I have paid for.

We spent a week at Zante Sun and here follows my honest review. Most of the comments in the previous reviews are accurate. The food is nice and I always found something to eat but the food isn’t piping hot. It’s buffet style and if it were piping hot I suspect it would dry out very quickly. The salads could be labelled better. There are a few things I didn’t eat as I wasn’t sure what was in it. The puddings are a little lacking. Strangely there’s some Madeira cake and once a beautiful hot strawberry cake at breakfast but all the lunch/dinner puddings are artificial cream/angel delight style, jelly and some profiterole with chocolate filling and ice cream. None of it labelled and very repetitive. I think this may be the style of pudding here in Greece. The ice cream, fruit juice and jam feel very artificial and I wonder if that is also just the style here. Breakfast is the same every day. On being seated you are given a large bottle of water and offered a drink. No they don’t come back but if you stop someone and ask, they will bring you another drink. It seems to be all table service with limited choice. Wine, rose beer, soft drink etc. The pool bar is fine with the usual all inclusive. The white wine was fine and my husband mostly drank beer which he enjoyed. The cocktails are nothing to write home about but I enjoyed the odd one. I had to pay for Prosecco which was €6. You can buy a bottle across the road in the shop at €9, so I did that and kept it in the room fridge. We didn’t use the snack bar but it seemed to have the usual things like burgers, fruit etc. it was self service but there was someone manning it. People are playing games in the evening and chatting at the pool bar and there was some music playing but it wasn’t loud. My only complaint is the smoking. There seems to be no restrictions on where people can smoke and there are ashtrays everywhere. I didn’t love that. We did try the sky bar once and got a lovely frozen cocktail and were given crisps in a bowl. It lacked atmosphere so we didn’t stay. The service was slow and it was too dark to enjoy any view sadly. At €8 a cocktail it wasn’t ridiculous though. We had a Swedish massage in the spa which was lovely and my husband and I were in the same room which was nice. More relaxing than Swedish in pressure but I still enjoyed it and the staff were lovely. The hotel is very nice and very clean as others have said. The room was tidied, beds made, towels changed and bins emptied every day. There’s a door hanger asking for your room to be serviced if you want and this is done. There were a few mini shampoos and soap on our arrival. The shower is fab and as mentioned there’s a mini fridge which is great for water and your own drinks. There was also tea/coffee making facilities which again I loved! The room was lovely and quiet and we didn’t hear a thing from either of our neighbours or above us. We could however hear everyone in the corridor in the morning. The door is thick, so I suspect it’s just the gap at the bottom letting the noise in. The doors don’t bang shut like in other hotels which was great! The aircon is great as others have mentioned and it’s very quiet. There could be a second hook in the bathroom for towels but as there’s a rack on the balcony for drying, it wasn’t an issue. There wasn’t any water on arrival as people have mentioned but this was communicated at check in and we went to the shop across the road and bought a 12 pack at around €3. We refilled in the restaurant at the juice stand. We never had a problem finding a lounger even though we slept in late some days. If you have a preferred spot though, just before 9am is when people start lying out. I didn’t experience any issues with kids being given a row and there are inflatables allowed. There’s parasols for every two loungers which I love. No fighting to try and get one. The back pool is quieter as people have said but we preferred the top pool with a bit of life. The water level of the pools is high and so if someone jumps in the pool overflows up to the loungers and I suspect that’s why you’re asked not to do that on the signs at the pool. We used the gym 4 days out of 7. Yes you need to book it but I never had an issue getting the time I wanted. I’m confused about the one person at a time restriction as I didn’t see any other covid rules. And this doesn’t compute with the fact that there is no spray or tissue to wipe any of the equipment down. There isn’t even anything to dry your hand in the loo and you’re left using toilet roll. The equipment was adequate though with a treadmill and several machines. There are no free weights though and no yoga mat which was disappointing. That staff are very nice and always greet people. Are they very chirpy and chatty, no. Again I feel this is the way here as most of the guest were the same, walk past you and not return a smile or greeting which was odd to me. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. The staff clearly work very hard. With a few tweaks this hotel would be outstanding. Branded soft drinks on a ‘help yourself’ dispenser in the bar and restaurant would be great. Better cocktails, deserts and ice cream. The beach out of the back of the hotel is lovely. Quiet. The water is very warm and beautiful to swim in. The shop across the road had everything you need, including travel games and cards. Obviously catering to the hotel guests. We ate in the restaurant across the road Porto Resto one night and the chicken gyro and vegetarian pizza were amazing. Would highly recommend. The family who run this are also very friendly and chatty. Out the front of the hotel and right takes out down to the harbour and cameo island. It’s about a 5/10 minutes to walk down the hill. Cameo island was lovely and I swam in the water which was very clear, it was busy but not overly so. I don’t understand the complaints people made about the island. I thought it was well worth the money. We were offered an additional photo in a frame for €12 but hadn’t brought extra money as we weren’t aware of this in advance. We went at around 11am. However I was at the harbour the next day just after 9am and noted there was no one on the bridge and the gate was open. So if you want it super quiet, that’s your time to go. No one seems to know what time it opens at. Get your picture taken for the free keyring as soon as you arrive as you’ll wait 20/30 minutes for it. We hired a boat at the harbour one day also. For 4 hours, fuel was included, it cost €120. We visited turtle island, went round cameo island and the Kerry caves. We stopped at turtle island for a swim in the crystal clear water. Went around Laganas bay to try and see turtles (we didn’t see any). Anya at Travaventre sorted us out with the boat and I’d highly recommend it. Great fun!! No issues at all. You also don’t need 4 hours, 3 would have been plenty. I wish I had taken water shoes. I’m glad I brought a hat as the sun was hot!

Nice hotel with good food and staff The all inclusive formule is bad! Drinks in awfull plastic cups. Dont taste good. A simple frappe you have to pay extra. They have a sky bar where never nobody sits because it cost extra. I have seen many other hotels with a much better all inclusive formule.

We stayed at the Zante Sun in September and really enjoyed our stay. There is very little we could suggest to make the hotel even better, as it was excellent. We arrived late after a delayed flight and got a very warm welcome from the reception staff. They explained everything about the hotel well, but it was a good idea to put all the info on a channel on the tv in the room as it is hard to take it all in when you first arrive somewhere. This hotel is kept immaculately clean in all areas. The pool area is jet washed at least twice if not three times or more a week. Staircases, lifts, public areas, dining room, bars are all kept spotlessly clean. Every drip, crumb etc gets removed instantly. It is really noticeable that standards are kept high all the time. The room was also kept very clean, and towels and bed linen changed regularly. It was a very comfortable room. The twin beds, although a little bit narrower than average were super comfy. We slept like logs!! The double glazed patio doors provided excellent sound proofing as we overlooked one of the pools and couldn’t hear a thing when the doors were closed (not that it was noisy, it was a very peaceful and relaxing hotel). The aircon was excellent and much needed too. Storage was good, room for everything including our suitcases. Plenty of plug sockets and all in useful places. Not like some hotels where the mirror is nowhere near a socket. There was a kettle in the room with tea and coffee provided and decent sized mugs. I don’t know if the tea and coffee would get replaced as we’d brought our own. There was a small fridge. One small suggestion here, a bottle of water on arrival would be a welcome touch. There is a supermarket right opposite reception though where you can stock up. Bathroom had a large walk in shower with a waterfall shower. Part of the reason we booked this hotel was for accessibility reasons as climbing into a bath can be difficult. Wifi is excellent, free, fast and stable! And it works everywhere you go around the hotel. We really enjoyed the food, possibly the best All Inclusive food we have ever had and we’ve been to many! So nice to see Greek style food in a Greek hotel and not all ‘Brits abroad’ stuff. We also found it was excellent for vegetarians which isn’t the norm in AI hotels either. Credit to the chef and his team who were all very visible at every meal and took pride in their work. The AI drinks were the usual selection of local beer, wines and spirits as advertised. We soon discovered it was a decent gin and tonic. Some of the cocktails were ok although many were a bit sweet for our taste. The only drink we found disappointing was the wine. We tried red, white and rose and the red was the best of a bad bunch. The white and rose smelt and tasted a bit chemically. Definitely noticed the cheapness there. But it didn’t spoil our experience, we’re happy to do trial and error to find a good drink when on holiday! We only tried the non AI bar near reception once and had a very nice cocktail there made with branded spirits and served to your table. But, the drinks in the AI bar were fine and we enjoyed them so why pay even more? Small gripe about the bar, as it is a pool bar you get all your drinks in plastic glasses. There was no other bar option unless you pay. All bar and waiting staff work very hard and you rarely queue for any length of time. They also keep their areas very clean and tidy. We knew there was no entertainment at this hotel and this was just what we expected and wanted. The bar plays good music at the right volume which was just right for us. It’s definitely not a party hotel and some guests arrived who didn’t seem to understand this but the hotel staff dealt with this well. The hotel is mostly a very modern building which was lovely. Our only negative comment would be that the architect did not really consider people getting around the hotel, especially those with mobility issues. We were on the same floor as the restaurant but had to go down a few stairs, up in a lift then back down in another lift. I’m sure the hotel was built on a slope so needed different levels but there did seem to be an excessive use of stairs. The few ramps were very steep too. There was also a charge for using the safe in the room, and for pool towels. Both non refundable which seemed a bit steep so we didn’t use either. As we knew, there isn’t a lot around this hotel. Although it is near the small resort of Agios Sostis and Cameo Island in the other direction. Both worth a visit and in walking distance.

What is not to like. Staff friendly and efficient, really hard workers. Rooms fairly spacious and serviced every day. We were all inclusive and thought the food was excellent, different local dishes served beside traditional fare. There has been comments made about watery drinks, we did not find this, the beverages were absolutely fine for our taste. We can given more praise than to say that we are planning our next trip.
