Detailed Reviews
We had been shielding since March so decided to take the family to Potters I was a little wary about going but there was no need to be we arrived on a really hot day and had to stay in our cars to have our temperature taken before we could check in but they even had that sorted given out bottles of water for everyone which was lovely as we certainly needed it. Check in was done in a very professional way using hand sanitizer everywhere we were then directed to our rooms and our own private restaurant which was absolutely wonderful the fridge was stocked full of all kinds of drinks and a big bowl of snacks plus a box of cookies tea, coffee, milk and everything you needed. Every member of staff were so welcoming and made us feel safe and secure in this sad time of Covid but it was very well planned and yes we felt very safe as everyone kept their distance but entertaining us so much we hadn’t laughed so much in ages. Food was very good and our waitress was so lovely and helpful couldn’t do enough for us. The entertainment team were absolutely fantastic from singers to comedy they all did an amazing job and worked so hard. So I say thank you Potters for a very wonderful and safe break.

This was our first visit to Potters & it was fantastic!
Check in was quick & easy, all done in our cars, including temperature checks for everyone. We’d booked standard bungalows, which were basic but a good size & very clean. There were 9 in our group so we were able to have our own restaurant suite. This was large & bright with a balcony view of the South Terrace, a large fridge fully stocked with drinks of all description, & our own private bathroom. Our waitress, Harriet, was so friendly & helpful & really took care of us all. The food for the adults was lovely. Generous portions with a fair choice. The only down side was that children’s food looked quite unappetising at times & our very young grandchildren struggled with it.
The South Terrace was lovely, really attractive, and the tables so well spaced that it never felt crowded. The entertainment was good too. There was plenty to do with the activities during the day, although there were some issues. The booking app worked fine on our first day but we struggled to get things booked on the Sunday. In fairness we did manage to use the small pool, which was lovely & well organised. The children absolutely loved it! There was a problem trying to book for the pottery painting, but the staff at reception were very helpful & rang to tell us that they’d managed to arrange a space for our little granddaughter & her Mum to take part.
We were a little nervous booking a family break due to COVID-19 but we felt really safe at Potters. Everywhere was clean, with housekeeping staff constantly wiping down tables, chairs etc. All the staff were wearing visors, payments made by contactless card, & our restaurant suite was really the icing on the cake! The children had room to play, & we could relax with no concern over social distancing.
We had always heard great things about Potters and we weren’t disappointed. The staff are amazing, so friendly, & always with a smile. I really believe they’ve done everything they can to give people a great time while sticking to the COVID-19 guidelines. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and really look forward to visiting again..... hopefully in more normal times.

Upon arrival the reception area looked nicely done and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We walked to our accomodation and were quite appalled at the design of the buildings and the rooms, which they for some strange reason call "bungalows" , these are terraced cabins at best. The room was straight out of the 50's, extremely old fashioned, with no hairdryer, paint peeling off the door frames, small TV partially projecting out into the room as it is screwed to the entrance wall edge (mind your head!) Beds were clean. The bathroom had no working lights when we arrived, so they sent a maintenance chap around to replace the light bulbs (plural). There was a very small and somewhat industrial bar of soap, apart from that ZERO toiletries, oh and did I mention no hairdryer - we were told by other guests that you could "rent" a hairdryer for £10 and got a refund when you returned it. If you are paying the prices Potters charge you are hardly likely to run off with their hairdryer!!. The radiator in the bathroom was rusting with paint peeling off the pipes. The design of the cabins closely resembled a prisoner of warcamp, we were appalled.
We had paid £300 for one night and a show, so down we trots for dinner which is 6.30 to 7.30. Of course everyone is of a like mind, although you have been previously allocated a table there are hundreds of people milling around outside the dining room a good half hour before the doors open, and then there is the mad rush to get to the table, don't even get me started on the food, school dinner for the masses is doing it a service, again the staff were very friendly, but the food was dreadful. Once you leave the dining rom You run smack bang into those masses again waiting to rush into the theatre next door and grab a decent seat. What a dreadful lack of organisation.
The saving grace was the show, being Alistair McGowan and Jasper Carrot. Which was absolutely worth the price of admission.
We had intended to stay the day after and make use of the facilities, but in fact we just wanted to leave and did so as soon as was possible. We felt as if we had been robbed, not a cheap resort in monetary funds but in every other way very disappointing.

The best thing about Potters is the staff, they are exceptional and very attentive.
Yes they are mindful of the Covid rules but they have unfortunately let this become an excuse for poor quality and there is no value for money.
They don’t clean your room because of Covid so you do it yourself and collect your own toilet roll, shampoo, towels !! At Warner’s you can opt out having your room cleaned yet potters don’t give you a choice. They have cleaners for wiping tables and communal toilets so probably more to do with not having the staff.
The food choices are minimal and boring especially breakfast and portion control is poor to the point that the mains are like a starter !!
The WiFi is the worst I’ve experienced anywhere in Europe and the 15 pellets of rifle activity was not worth the effort of downloading the app to book.
For over £800 for 4 nights it’s not worth it sure it’s all inclusive but alcohol is not the only reason we came here.
I will be going back to Warner’s again which is much better value and quality.

We’ve just returned home after our only holiday break this year !
And would like to say what an amazing break we have just encountered!
With the world in tatters due to this horrible virus, I can Honestly say I felt so safe to be here all weekend, and are already looking to rebook.
From the moment you drive into the resort and check in from your car you can see the extra measures Potters have put in place !
All staff are wearing PPE throughout the resort & break, which was great to see that Potters have not only taken the safety of their guests to heart but also that of their staff.
Every member of the team who we came across during our stay was happy and as always could not do enough for you.
The whole resort was more chilled than normal and everyone was taking their time to really embrace and enjoy the new normal, that does not mean we didn’t have enough to do, we didn’t stop but everything just seemed so much more relaxing.
There was 10 of us in our suite, which was perfectly placed to overlook the south terrace, where we was able to pop down to and watch the entertainment on the stage or stay in our suite and watch from the live feed.
We was also extremely lucky to have been able to have live entertainment inside, which was in the atlas theatre, we managed to get tickets for both shows which was Legends and The Brits and can honestly say we Thoroughly enjoyed the new shows inside.
We booked in for Archery , Segways , Laser Clays , Rock Painting & Ten Pin Bowling, as well as taking part in many of the daytime quizzes.
There was a double beer fridge in our suite which was full up for your night of arrival with every bottled drink you could imagine, of which we made great use of. It was actually so nice to just open the fridge and have whatever you wanted to drink.
I could honesty sit here all day writing down a whole list of what was great and why anyone should book and go to try a break at potters, but I would spoil it for everyone, so if your still reading my review at this point then there’s only one more thing you need to do !! Ring the! 0333 320 7418 book it now , you will not be disappointed
Thank you Potters for a new normal holiday at home 🥰

Celebrating my wife’s birthday on the 25th we decided to go to Potters. We arrived at Potters a little anxious but the staff ensured we felt very welcome and safe
This was our first outing since the start of lockdown in March. We knew things would be different but we were please to get away.
The warm welcome at check in and meeting Mr Potter was amazing. The checking in was a little slow but, understandable . It was different , new safe and well organised and it worked . All the staff were so wanting to make it a great weekend, I think we were all excited!
We had a hotel premier room H355 which was lovely . However, the mattresses were very springy and need to be replaced for firmer mattresses. Our poor backs -ouch. Our room was very clean. Wi-fi in our room was a little slow. It was vert quite. We loved it!
We would be eating in the Dinning room throughout the weekend. Only the first floor was open and social distancing was Maintained really well . Staff were amazing. Harriett was so tentative and so polite . The Piped music does need to be updated to try and make up for lack of atmosphere !
The food selection was ok, understandably the buffet was not possible.
However, our only real dissatisfaction for the whole weekend was that lunch was replaced by all day service between 11-4am.
We would have liked proper lunch . On Saturday service was was very slow and food in the evening meal selection was not great and was the poorest dinner we had had in all our visits to Potters.
Entertainment team lead by the legend Mr Brewer were amazing and the whole team worked really hard, so hard! The south terrace had a great vibe. The waitress service was amazing and all staff were so friendly, chatty and just lovely.
Streamed entertainment worked really well and was of high quality. Cleaners were ever present cleaning tables chairs regularly, adding to the sense of feeling safe! You know we felt so safe the whole weekend.
More amazing memories from Potters.
We highly recommend it !
Thank you
Paul and Christine Burcombe

Having been stuck at home in lock down for the past few months, and my trip to Potters in April cancelled due to COVID. My family jumped at the chance to return to our favourite place on the weekend of its opening.
On arrival we were greeted by familiar faces where we had our temperatures checked, we were then given our welcome packs and advised where our accommodation was, asked to go straight to the accommodation and wash our hands before moving around the resort, a procedure we are all now very used to.
The Resort has always looked pristine and clean, but somehow now it was even cleaner, the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure that everything in the resort was safe, clean and inviting.
Having been a guest at Potters for a long time it was quite surreal in how much had to be changed. There were some teething problems but as expected they were dealt with and put right. The food was lovely, the idea of sitting in a private dining area at first did not appeal to me, as the atmosphere in the dining room is normally really good and friendly. But they proved me wrong, it was nice and relaxing. We were on the south terrace so there was always something we could listen to whilst eating.
The entertainment as always was first class. I can't imagine how much work had to go into putting this together, when they are used to working as a big theatre company to be putting on the same level of amazing 5 star entertainment with no more than 7 people on the stage in the Atlas Theatre at any one time. The shows in the evening were amazing, yes some issues with streaming to start with but the team worked incredibly hard to rectify this.
There was no taking away from the fact that social distancing plays a part in affecting the overall experience wherever you go, but all staff, from the bar staff, kitchen and waiting staff, tech crew, reception/office staff were all so amazing and worked incredibly hard.
One last comment about the entertainment team, it was fantastic seeing some familiar faces, Mark as always is Mr Entertainment, and he just carried on regardless, had everyone in fits of laughter, and made sure everyone on the resort had an amazing time, the south terrace entertainment was fantastic, great music, amazing singers and a fantastic (sunburned) time was had by all. The transformation of this area was amazing, the seating areas were comfortable and it was a pleasure to spend our afternoons sitting there enjoying the entertainment and soaking up the sun and atmosphere.
Thank you Potters Team, once again you have not let us down, you did absolutely everything you could to make our break safe, inviting and enjoyable. To the Potter Family, your staff are a credit to you. See you all soon

My husband and I are currently at potters after our holiday to Mallorca was cancelled. We have had 2 beautifully sunny days, sitting out on the south terrace drinking and listening to the live music both days. All the staff are wearing face coverings, and we couldn’t of felt more safe. The food is as always very nice with so much choice, and drinks very reasonably priced. The south terrace is a perfect addition and we hope you keep this for next summer. We are staying in the penthouse suite, just perfect and so quite. Must say a big thankyou to Jackie one of the ladies making sure all the areas are Constantly being cleaned and sanitised, was listening to the band one afternoon they played one of my dads favourite songs who has recently passed and I just burst into tears (thank god for sunglasses) she could see how I upset I was and came over and had a chat and said such kind words, Jackie I must say you are such a kind and sweet lady, I will never forget your kindness you are a big asset to potters and I hope I see you next time we return. We was allowed to choose 1 night to go into the theatre but there was always spare tickets for the rest of the week, so we managed to get a couple more tickets for different evenings the shows. Thankyou for a lovely few days away❤️

This was the 1st time OUT of the house for my sister since she started working from home in March ! She didn’t know what to expect and was nervous! However within an hour of arriving mentioned to me how safe she felt and kept on reminding me throughout our break how safe she felt!
Hand sanitisers are placed throughout the resort as well as in your private lounge and everyone was abiding to the wearing of a face mask when not eating or drinking, and social distancing was clearly visible with the reduction of guests and spaced out seating. With entertainment staff constantly informing you when you wear your masks and when you didn’t have to wear your masks, which was great as it isn’t natural for everyone still and it just reminded us all that we need to wear it.
We went as a group of 6 and had our own private lounge which had a double beer Friday full to the rim with drinks, which you can request to be re stocked at lunch everyday day.
The food was lovely and when ordered didn’t take long to arrive and our waitress was extremely attentive ( yasmin H119) there’s an all day menu that you can order whatever you want from between 11am -4pm which also meant we could luncheon whenever we wanted.
There’s a great activity booking system that you log on to from 8am every morning to book your free activities during the day, we picked archery , pottery painting , ten pin bowling we could of done more but there was so much to do we couldn’t fit it all in. We loved the quizzes and the 2 o clock slot in the bowlers lounge with Mark Brewer.
We was given show passes for 2 of the evening shows which was great and for the first evening when we didn’t have a pass we sat in our lounge and watched the show which was streamed live to a big TV whilst catching up and drinking and having a laugh, which worked out really well as the drivers needed a chill after their long journey.
The break was All Inclusive and although the bars closed at 10 due to the government guidelines with Covid we was still allowed to go back to our private lounge, close our door and safely caring on our evening with streamed singers or a DJ on the TV.
The shows we saw were extremely good and felt very honoured to have been privileged to have been able to sit in a theatre and watch a live show, after lockdown and all the theatres around the country / world being closed this was the highlight to be able to enjoy a bit of normality at last, whilst observing all Covid rules n laws still.

I don’t think so. We had to have wristbands to show we were guests.
