We are returners and brought my boyfriends parents who were visiting with us this time! They are from the maritimes and we’re blown away by the mountains, peacefulness, food, and wonderful accommodations and staff. There is no better place to decompress, disconnect from technology, and be encapsulated by the beauty of the Rockies. Mount engadine never disappoints!
Beautiful location, great staff. We were not given the clamping tent the I had requested months before and not notified that we had been moved. They compensated with a room credit. The staff is friendly and courteous. My breakfast was inedible, but quickly substituted.
Incredibly warm service and great food in an idyllic mountain setting. The team was beyond friendly, and made me feel at home during my stay. The lodge was charming and cozy. Fantastic getaway from the city!
Loved the location, food and drinks. Exceptional staff. Great for romantic weekend and if you have a dog they are welcomed! Would have loved a view form the writers studio glamping tent and some more places to explore around the grounds would have been nice. Loved the welcome, cozy lodge with a fire every morning and evening and the coffee was fresh, strong and hot. Able to bring your own wine for a cork fee as well. Loved the deck in front of the lodge, such a beautiful view. Great hiking in the area although the time of year will be important to consider. It was still snowy and slushy on the trails in most areas. The drive in is a bit underwhelming as the glamping tents are right on the driveway in. Not much to see until you get onto the main deck of the lodge or in the dining room form the windows. If you have a room with a view that may be more enjoyable as sadly, we did not. It was a lovely place for a romantic weekend away and worked out perfectly for us with our pup. If you can go in off season it will be more affordable but I can see why you would want to go during nicer weather, you would have more space to enjoy the area in summer I imagine. No working sauna which was disappointing, was hoping for a few more amenities in that regards but otherwise a lovely stay. …
Mount Engadine Lodge was the perfect escape to disconnect and relax. The rooms were clean and spacious. All the meals were delicious. Our favourite was the afternoon charcuterie board which was a great post hike snack. Above all, the staff were so sweet and accommodating. They are the true shining stars of the whole experience!
Wonderful recharging trip!I love the 4meals included with your stay at decent price, to have your private bathroom in glamping tent with all amenities you need for being back country. Love that wifi only on main lodge..love there’s no signal and tv-just to be with nature! Staff were friendly and very helpful! Glad we were able to stay and experience this.
Having been there a few times over the last couple of years I would say its one of the best get away. Every experience has been excellent. The people, the service, the food & the ambience. We will be back there soon.
This was our first experience a Mount Engadine Lodge, which is an all inclusive "resort". We were there for my partners birthday. It is quite pricey. We stayed in the main lodge and our room was regular, just like you would find in any moderately priced hotel chain. In the main lodge guests had to take shoes off upon entering, which was great because you could walk around in socks or slippers which make it homey. There are also three areas in the main lodge guests can hang out and visit, play games, or read. Two of those spaces have wood burning fireplaces. You have to be fast to claim those spaces as there were a few people who stayed in them all day. The lodge has snowshoes and cleats for guests to borrow for the day, and we took advantage. The staff were phenomenal, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a choice of two options. Lunch was a bagged lunch, so guest could take it with them hiking or whatever activity they were doing that day. Afternoon tea was a real treat, it was a charcuterie board and dessert. Diners had no choice for dinner. Guests got what was being served. Both nights we were there dinner was subpar, which is why I am only giving a 4 star review. The dinners were super disappointing. The other really disappointing thing was a few days after we got home, Mount Engadine Lodge asked us to provide a review of our stay and I provided them an honest review that was private between them and me. I explained in detail the problems with dinner and I never heard back from them. That is poor customer service in my mind.…
The lodge is beautiful. We stayed in Whiskey Jack cabin and it was great! The beds were comfy, the wood burning fireplaces are so nice to curl up in front of with a coffee or tea. The meals were delicious! The meadow behind the lodge was perfect for snowshoeing. The balconies serve for a great reading or stargazing spot.
Easy to get to, and road side location means packing is easy (don’t need to think about hiking it in!). Glamping tents with a shower were so lovely. The tea came with a full charcuterie board (yum!). Close to lots of hiking, fresh tracks through the snow. Look forward to exploring in different seasons
