A stunningly beautiful lodge in a great location near Tena and then Napo river. Great non-AC cabins. Really nice area. Good hikes and satisfactory English speakers. No WiFi or cell service (but cell service can be obtained within a 30 minute walk away.). Great public areas for dining, relaxing and swimming. When they take you on offsite excursions be sure...

I was very disappointed in our 4-day, 3-night Discovery tour. 1) Staff don't speak any English. Suchipakari advertises that they offer English-guided tours, and I e-mailed them beforehand just to be sure that English tours are available because I wouldn't be able to understand anything otherwise. I received an e-mail from Monica confirming that the tour would be in English....

This lodge is very nice and approx. half an hour far from Misahualli port (by car). You will reach the lodge through a dirt road, but it's easy to drive this way. Starting from Misahualli port you can follow the signs until you'll find a small parking place closed to a confluence of the Napa river. From there it's just...

Everyone should visit the jungle sometime in their lives to feel the natural power of nature. I stood in December for 6 days and that was an incredible experience. Lodge was comfortable, had hot water, food was amazing, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. I visited the jungle with amazing wildlife! Beautiful location with bountiful plants and flowers....

Wasn't too sure what to expect beforehand, but my stay at Suchipakari ended up exceeding expectations. For being in the jungle, the lodge is quite well-equipped - our cabin was clean and comfortable - our beds were decent, there were plenty of outlets (although no Wi-fi), there was hot water, and the fan helped to keep the heat and humidity...

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. The ecological cabins are very clean and comfortable. Regardless that the lodge was full for the weekend, the service was very good. The food was tasty, more than we expected, especially if you are in the middle of the jungle. If you want to visit the Indian villages and rescue zoos, the lodge’s...

Enjoyed lovely couple nights at Sachipikari Lodge. Being the quiet season we had an English speaking guide to ourselves who was kind and knowledgeable. Good activities to chose from in nice, natural surroundings. Rooms clean and spacious.

“While the local village tours were good, but like our experience in travels to more than 30 countries, the dances tend to be phony. Imagine what happens to authenticity, when you live in one of these villages and have to dance with Caucasians in the local dance, when 5 such tours pass by your "village" every day. You just want to collect your money and get the hell out of there. Skip these pseudo-touristic places, which are self-acclaimed exhibits of the local "culture".”
