Ivy Lea Campground appears to be nice , but is sorely needing maintenance in its showers, garbage, and trailer clean out for septic was marginal. Shower building was closed due to lack of h2o heating and bathroom showers had handles that fell to the very hottest water level unless the handle was tied up to the shower spout. Come on St Lawrence— put some $$’s into your park!!!

Entrance to park for check in is small/awkward. Ideally a staff member will see you arrive at the gate, open the gate to let you thru to park and go register. Sites generally are uneven or not level, so leveling equipment is necessary. Additional extensions for electrical/water required at some sites. Road noise can be heard from North end of campground and bridge noise at south end of campground. We have been visiting Ivy Lea for at least 5yrs (we love the area) but have seen a significant decrease in maintenance and service at the park. Facilities/structures showing their age. Roads are gravel and rough. Two buildings for bathrooms but one building closed often due lack of staff to clean. This is a major inconvenience for those in tents. Two portable outhouses at south end for non-serviced sites, sometimes less than desirable to use. There is a dedicated shower building that is mostly closed through the season. Beach is small and not cleaned (raked of weeds, water debris), the two available picnic tables are past their due date. A day trip to Brown's Bay is much nicer. Large overflow parking area for boats and additional cars. Boat launch available. Grounds maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. Grass cutting is inconsistent meaning tall grass on sites also means increase risk of ticks. Staff resources are unfortunately redirected to Brown's Bay beach resulting in poorer customer service at park. Very unfortunate as this is an ideal location to visit Brockville, Gananoque, Kingston and more.

Recently stayed at this campground for 2 nights and had a nice time. The check in was very smooth and our site was lovely; right on the water as we wanted. The sites were pretty close together but we still had nice division and privacy.

The beach area was great and very enjoyable. It was a shame dogs weren't allowed in the water as our little guy really wanted in but they do give fair warning about this on the website. It's a beautiful area of Ontario though and glad we stayed here!

We stayed there for 3 nights sept 4-7 2020 and I have yo say it has been the WORST campground I have ever been to. So much noise! There is NO intimacy , no trees to give you your own space. The 2 first nights there were people talking so loud until 3h30 AM. By the river, it's surrounded by islands and on the 3rd night there was music playing until 1h30 AM, I thought I was in a bar! Super bad music like Britney Spears and Cher and a very sucky country at the end. I called the office but since it was on an island there was nothing they could do. Also, the campground is by the bridge going to the States, hello trucks! I DONT RECOMMAND. NB - there was no water at the time of our stay so no bathrooms or showers.

We checked in after dark and discovered we had no sewer hook up. We also found the I yet net to be non existent in site 30 even though we had been given an internet code. We also were backing onto the main Thousand Island Pkwy so the site was noisy. The showers need to be updated but we’re clean. The garbage and recycling were overflowing at the dump area. The septic dump area water hose has no attachment to hook to our trailers freshwater tank. Overall a good location for Thousand Islands but not somewhere we would stay again unless we were desperate. We are very experienced campers having travelled the circumference of North America in a class A motorbike for 2 years during Covid.

Good location for touring Gananoque and surrounding area. Across the road from the Waterfront bike trail - a great paved trail with some hills.

We stayed here in an RV and our area (sites 90-93) was very wet, most of the campground seems quite wet as a lot of the sites are in a valley. We had to move our picnic table onto the side of the road as there was no dry area on the grass. The bridge to the US is "above" a section of the campground... it was very close to our sites so it was noisy at times, but we got used to it quickly. Not many good RV sites but there were some really nice tent/unserviced sites on the water.

Beach was nice and clean, although small. Boat docks available, good for fishing for the kids. Campground staff were excellent and very helpful.

I have stayed here several times in an RV and would give the campground a 7/10. The gravel pads on some sites need some maintenance but that would be the main issue. It has some excellent waterfront sites for those that don’t need hookups (on both the lagoon and river). For those that complain about the noise, realize that the campground is adjacent to the US-Canada 1000 Islands bridge and when 18 wheelers are going downhill, hitting expansion joints and using their jake brake it will be noisy for those sites right near the bridge. For those complaining that they couldn’t find their sewer hookup, do your research before booking LOL. Some sites have water and 30 amp service but nowhere does the campground state they have full 3 way hookups (there is a dump station). Only time I have found the dumpsters overflowing is after a long weekend when the park was at capacity. Overall I would recommend the park for short stays or overnighters traveling thru the area. Staff have always been friendly as well.

I would not recommend this campsite unless you are using it as a pit stop for boating on the Thousand Islands.

The bathrooms and showers were filthy dirty!! The garbage bins for dropping off your garbage were overflowing.
