A B&B in a quiet area with a lovely garden and an extremely friendly dog. So much like being at home. The rooms are delightful, the breakfasts which vary each day, are extremely well prepared and presented and the help you get from Roger and Maria is inestimable. As well as your room you have freedom of the garden and...

This place is ideal if you are looking for a quiet alternative to the big hotels on the coast. It is ideally located provided you have a car with GPS and want to explore the island. Our room was large, quiet and nicely decorated. Very nice bathroom. Roger and Maria are lovely and so is Toby, their dog. Breakfast is...

We had never been to Malta before and knew little about it. We were in good hands. Roger met us at the airport, helped us to pick up our rental car, and then equipped us with his GPS so that we could explore this interesting (but a bit bewildering) island. Their rooms are very comfortable, and breakfast is delicious and...

MALTA is not the most obvious choice for cyclists thinking of cycling there. Tuscany, France and Sicily sell themselves far better, but for those prepared to make the effort cycling in Malta can be every bit as good as anywhere in Europe. I enjoyed 4 good days cycling on Malta and Gozo and look forward to doing it again in...

The rooms are spacious and you will find everything you need: besides the obvious even coffee or tea, hairdryer and a mini-bar is provided Do...

This was our third visit to Selmunett in Malta over the last six years. As always it was a privilege and pleasure for us to stay with Roger and Maria. When traveling to such a historical site, my wife and I find it beneficial to stay with well established and knowledgeable people that are willing and able to share with...

I stayed with Roger and Maria for the first time in June. The hosts could not have been more convivial, accommodating or welcoming into their beautiful home. Breakfast was a pleasure each morning and the room found to be exactly as described on the site. I will be back!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
'Selmunett' is a charming family run luxury Homestay property located on the edge of the village of Naxxar, which is more or less in the centre of the island. We have two en-suite bedrooms and garden for the use of guests. The sea at St Paul's bay is a mere ten-minute car drive away. The capital Valetta is 15 minutes away; the airport and golf course 20 minutes away. We strongly recommend that you hire a car for your time in Malta. We would be happy to arrange this for you when you place your booking with us. If you do, and you stay for 7 nights and over we will offer you Complimentary one way airport transfer Airport - Selmunett and the use of a GPS navigation system to help you get yourselves around the island. The bus service in Malta is smooth with fully air-conditioned and modern buses with many routes round the Island. Our local bus stop is a mere three minutes from the house. Fitness enthusiasts, during the cooler weather, might like to consider bicycles, which again we can arrange. Rentals come complete with helmets, front and back lights and a locking system. Whilst we do not provide evening meals, we have a full list of recommended Restaurants that are in walking distance and of course others that are further a field and require transportation to get there. Apart from this we do have a Restaurant guide in each room so guests may wish to select their own, pubs and bars that we recommend listed here on our site. WiFi is available throughout and in the event that guests require the use of computers in order to re-confirm flights and print boarding passes, this can be done with pleasure. Each of our rooms have iPhone/iPod docking systems. ... more   less
