We stumbled across this lovely genuine Victorian BnB by chance in a heavy rainstorm a few evenings ago. And we were in luck. They had a small cosy room (with 2 singles) for less than the price quoted on this website, with breakfast included. A good start! But the best was to come, in the guise of the restaurant. It...

Not very often, you discover a gem. First of all, it's a bit off the main tracks, so less chances to stumble on it. For sure, the place has an history (general store about 70+ years ago), still preserved despite renovations to bring it to today's security standard and comfort. Owners are very proud of their gem, for the last...

We stayed with our children here one night on our way through. Unfortunately we did not know about the restaurant so we had eaten before we came. The menu looked and smelled awesome. I believe it was built in 1898 so if you are looking for modern this is not the place for you. Our room had two comfortable beds...

Simply love this historical inn. Every room is different. Inn-keepers Jean-Claude and Matilde are lots of fun. The food is just fantastic, a quality that you would expect to find only in a top-notch restaurant in a major city. Be prepared for creaky floors, but character and charm galore. The village of Grandes-Piles and the St. Maurice river will charm...

the minute we walked in we knew we had made a mistake. The Auberge reaked of chemicals coming from the whirlpool on the second floor. It was a cool day so all windows were closed. We had reserved a room with 2 double beds. When we walked in,the beds were at each end of the room with just enough space...

We stayed at Le Bome for a night during a tour of quebec in August 2011. The room was very nice (we were at the last floor) and the rest of the place nicely decorated. Only the bathroom was small, something we have found to be quite common in places we went in Quebec. Owners were incredibly nice and friendly,...

Fantastic place. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. I can't believe the prices either--it seems like they should be charging at least twice the rate. This is the kind of place where you feel like you are staying at the place of your best friend's super-cool and wealthy rich relative, who loves life and wants you to...

We arrived here late in the evening after getting lost in the woods. Although the kitchen was already closed (and cleaned) the owners kindly made a meal for us. And what a meal: everything was very tasty! They were very friendly: they gave us advice about the region and didn't mind that we stayed in the restaurant to have some...

We stayed here two nights and chose the hotel on recommendation and because it was very convenient for visitiing the nearby La Mauricie national park. The room was clean and average size. Good queen size bed. The only drawback was that they squeezed a full size bath tub into one corner of the room. Apart from being impracticle if you...
