If you love a really quiet charming place off the beaten track, this is the place to go, About a 15-minute drive from Beaune (and lots of nice restaurants) it is ideally located for a tour of the Côte d'Or. I can't remember when we first discovered this jewel - definitely a long time before the day and age of...

This is about 4km out of Savigny in the woods. It was a lovely warm evening and we were lucky that they were serving dinner that night - which was not great but good, particularly the local terrine of sanglier. And yes there are plenty in the woods - we saw some as we walked from the hotel. We were...

Hotel is located at old farm in classical French style. Rooms are warm and clean. Breakfast is typical for local hotels. Hotel has beautiful surrounding forests and gardens. So you can really relax in this hotel for couple days at nature.

Great location and gorgeous buildings but don't go if you don't like isolation. The main fault is a lack of facilities and it would be hugely improved by a bar and pool and would entice you to stay then for longer than the odd night. That said as a stopover to the south of France it is good and within...

This is certainly a lovely and quiet place but the owners are terribly arrogant. The place is beautiful and it would be much better if they looked after customers. A note left in the bedroom indicated that any delay to check out after 12 would trigger another night to be charged. A welcome basket was waiting for us but apples...

We booked here to break our long journey. When we tried to book dinner we were told the restaurant does not open until May (This was not stated when we booked) and we might find somewhere in the village to eat -this hotel is reached down a tortuous, single track road. After going back to the village (this on a...

We spent a lovely weekend with friends at Le Hameau... It is a stunning property, however there are a number of shortcomings : 1 - Restaurant : There is apparently a restaurant on site, but I think this is only used for functions as when we inquired it was always "full". Had to head to Beaune for a meal 2...

Lovely, secluded QUIET spot and gorgeous setting - but there is no "heart" there. I felt like I was in a California-like spa b&b designed to LOOK like a French retreat; comfortable, elegant, yet somehow sterile and lacking in a welcoming feel. Other than that one drawback, I'd recommend it highly. It's just not that French. There is not food...

We stayed at this property one night on a group bike trip. It was a lovely little hotel but very quiet (limited internet, no cell service, no bar). The location is quiet and peaceful, dinner and breakfast were both tasty. Nice place but it's not near anything (if you want that). Our room was two levels (bedroom upstairs with toilet,...
