It seems like this place has targeted families with children (small) and retired couples. There are two nice pools. Generally speaking it is a nice relaxing place - even if on some days you will have quite a lot of music and things going on around the big pool (I didn´t mind that). Everything is clean and generally speaking in working order. And the best part is that every single person working there, from what I assume is management, to the people in the snack bar, to the housekeepers, are very friendly and helpful (even if I do not speak French - which makes it slightly more complicated to communicate some times). That part is definitely a 5. The negative sides are the very boring rooms in the "lodge". There are no windows, no TV channels that are not in French, Internet didn´t work in my room and I guess because of the way the lodge is built most of the time I wouldn´t get connected to 4G/Edge. Especially the fact that there is no Internet connection is a bit poor in 2020 - that should cover all rooms. When I asked about the answer was "the connection is poor in some places in the lodge". On Monday´s the "snack bar" is closed. Which is the same day the restaurants at the beach is closed. I would have expected that to be better co-ordinated. Also the menu in the "snack bar" is very limited. I understand it is not a place targeting solo travellers, but I think they could have done a better job on some of these things. As for families with children and in general couples or groups that enjoy cooking your own food in the evening it is a very nice place as you got your own little kitchen. If you are in that category I would have given it a 4 and not a 3. And an extra benefit if you like to kite as the spot is just outside of the gate.

We had a very nice stay. The village is very well maintained and the Bungalows are perfect. The area was quiet but beautiful! We had some problems with the air conditioning and the staff was super helpful and solved the issue. I would stay there again and recommend the village! Thank you ! :) Brian from Germany

I had a very nice experience in that village. The location is immediately close to the beach which is used by the kitesurfers. The personnel in the village are smiling and professionale and the boss, Denis, is open minded to look for the best experience of his hosts. All bungalows and villas are among hundreds of palms and the atmosphere is really Caribbean.

The resort is very nice, clean and well kept. Very green and full with beautiful palmtrees as well. Acces to the very beautiful beach is easy and close by. Bungalows are very basic and the (kitchen)material inside is what you may expect from a bungalow site : very standard. On the other hand, you're only inside for sleeping thanks to the warm weather. There is a small bar next to the pool. Is it part of the bungalow park or managed separately ? The bar and snack is a fine combination of French "laissez faire" and the "no stress" factor in the Caribbean. You've got to have patience .... Still 4* because of beauty and the tranquility of the camp. Guy

Thanks a lot for your comment Guy ! Village de la Pointe's staff is very happy to see that you liked your stay. Indeed, Pointe Faula is only at 25 min drive from the famous beach of Les Salines or at 45 min drive from La Caravelle. You don't have to face traffic from more touristic places. The cottages are equiped with simple material but quite complete and as you say, usually the point is to enjoy the island almost all day long. Le Wassaï, snack bar of Village de la Pointe is part of the Village and offer a bench of french, creole food and snacking. We hope to see you back soon at Village de la Pointe.
