We stayed at this hotel as a base for a day in the Plitvice national park (which we can highly recommend). It turned out to be a 45 minute drive, but the drive was nice so no problem.

The hotel itself must be typical for the region, meaning many rooms, huge restaurant (250 seats!), catering for all sorts of probably local occasions. Furniture is not flashy or trendy, but a somewhat typical collection of dark wood and leather, but comfortable enough. The room was not the best we ever had; the bed was simple with a foam mattrass and I rate my sleep at 7/10, (OK, not excellent), but we did have air-conditioning and a TV with sufficient channels to allow some zapping.

The spa was nice; a small indoor pool with jacuzzi to allow some cooling down after a day of hiking; outside of the spa was a terrace with some deck chairs to get some evening sun. The sauna was small, but comfortable. We had the place to ourselves and if you pay in cash you can use the spa for free.

Highlight of our two-night stay was the restaurant. The menu offers an enormous choice (must be 100+ items on there), ranging from lots of different meat dishes to (mostly sweet water) fish and everything we tried was well-prepared and of good quality and very very affordable. Everything was clearly freshly prepared. The service was extremely friendly, warm as well as efficient.

Don't expect four star facilities, but if you are looking for a touch of local atmosphere, true hospitality, excellent food and a bit of adventure, we can recommend this place. We had fun and enjoyed our stay.

"Hotel with a swimming pool, whirlpool, air conditioning, great restaurant with local and international cuisine, inviting rooms, blah, blah blah, the list of it's self glorification goes on. The very tiny swimming pool, no bigger than 3 x 6 meters at the very most, cost nearly an additional 6 EUR per hour per person so we didn't bother. The rooms were big or at least we got a big one but it didn't even have a proper bed. I don't class a few planks of wood bolted together with a piece of foam over the top of a board, a bed. It was rock hard and impossible to sleep on. Luckily we had air matrasses with us which we had to use on both beds in the room. There was NO airconditioning in the rooms, it's only downstairs in the main rooms and their claim of it is deliberately misleading or if it did exist, it's permanantly switched off to the rooms. The restaurant menu consisted mainly of various four-legged animals on a spit, the international cuisine thing was a bit of a mystery but maybe that was the Heinz Mushroom Soup out of a tin covered that angle. Oh and roasted chicken was actually chicken burgers. All in all the restaurant combined with the equally poor show breakfast was pretty ropey. The WIFI was good and pretty fast but only available next to reception but they have tables there with power sockets. The layout of the building isn't ideal for WIFI.

For the money we paid to stay there, we stayed in far superior hotels in Croatia in better locations for around the same price and certainly quite a few euros should be lobbed of it. Interestingly too, the sign outside states it's a four star hotel (?????) There's a sticker over one of the stars (?????) The staff were very nice but I did feel that it was an "I saw you coming" senario.

We stayed here for a night as it was near to the lake we wanted to visit the next day. It is a family owned and run hotel. The rooms are clean but not trendy. We were on a group tour n many groups were also booked along with us. The dinner was really great and service good. The breakfast spread was also ok.

Nice, clean hotel with good and helpful staff, nice young boy and girl was very good at reception desk. We use twin room with balcony, they gave us extra bed for free!!!! Restourant is open whole day, food is very good and tasty, good value of money.
This hotel was as base for four day trip in the National park Plitvice lakes!! Only 45 minutes away, the road is good.
Paying was with Credit card (in Restourant part and hotel part), staf offer free useing of wellnes. It was great! VIP hours for couples unbelievably good!!

We recomand this sympathetic hotel for visit Plitvice lakes, road to Dubrovnik and Dalmaci region. Highly recommand!! Now we living and we will return back!

They threatened to keep our passports if we didn't pay in full, for no service. Not friendly unless they making money out of you. The moment you ask for something or complain, they pretend to not speak English. Much better hotels in the area with better views of the river. Not scenic spot.

Friendly staff.
The restaurant offers many options and is quite cheap, which is good for evening meals.
The hotel is located in a very quiet area.
Wifi in the room did not work very well (we had to be close to the door for a good enough signal).
There is nothing to do/see in Otocac or closeby, but there are many interesting places within a 1- to 2-hour drive (most importantly Plitvice lakes, as well as other national parks and Zadar).
We did not test the "wellness area".

We stopped at this hotel on the way south to Dubrovnik. I found the gentleman at the front desk to be very nice. When the AC in my room was not working, he looked into the issue and fixed the problem. The washroom was large and appeared to have been recently renovated. The rest of the room was in need of renovation- it reminded me a bit of a dorm room. Although we asked for a queen bed, it seemed that all they had was a room with 2 twin beds. When we came down for breakfast, there was not a lot of choice left on the breakfast buffet after the tour bus left. The coffee was good though!

-people at front desk were absolutely unproffesionals. They were, angry, rude for everyone, and arguing for no reason.

-Dinner was poor, for that prize i expected much more. But the hilarious thing was breakfast. Served from 7am to 9am ... i came at 8am after corean guests and there nothing left only few slices of bread. When i asked hotel people they said i should have come earlier ... so i paid for nothing.

-room was quite clean but first in my life i needed wife in hotel .... yeah you are right it did not work.

-i am giving 1/5 star just becouse of the scennery around hotel, very Nice nature and calm place.

-I recomend if you want to stay in this location try to find other options. Definitelly not this hotel.

We visited for one night in April with 30 kids. It was fantastic that the hotel allowed such a large group! We had a range of rooms and size rooms, which meant the kids could stay in their friendship groups. It was very clean and set in a very nice location, near to the bear sanctuary!
We had a very peaceful night stay in lovely rooms, also very clean and well kept. The only note we made was that the heating was on full blast when we got in (so very warm!) but also better than being really cold.
The breakfast had a decent spread of ham and cheese, as well as cereal to keep the kids happy. We left in good spirits for Plitvice lakes and I think this was helped by a great stay. Thanks for having us!
