We stayed 3 nights in a 4 bed bungalow at Campo die Messapi. The bungalows were clean, but very simple (no fridge, no television, air conditioning not included in room rate). The cottages are nicely set between big oleander trees and private parking is available just in front of the units.

The rate was rather high compared to other similar hotels, I would even say too high. Breakfast was good, service average. Wifi is available only in the hall of the main Hotel. We booked B&B only, so I cannot comment on the other on-site infrastructure such as tennis, beach etc.

The overall experience might be better when booking all-inclusive packages with beach and meals. I can recommend the site for its beautiful setting but would recommend to negotiate the rate prior to booking.

Perfect place to enjoy the seaside and the beach with the family! Food is great and kids are always in a safe place to play and enjoy the summer lifestyle! Nature is all around and puglia traditionals festivals are always on in the neighborhood!

I had the pleasure to recently revisit this place and stayed at the Hotel dei Bizantini for a few days. I had a room overlooking the ocean; absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and quite basic. Everything is nice and clean. There is a small TV and AC (for which you require some kind of a card available at the front desk. The hotel is right on the beach, the ocean is gorgeous and great for swimming. Best of all it is not crowded at all and the water temperature was in the mid-70s (24 degrees centigrade) in early June. Don't expect luxury and spas, just a great place with wonderful, happy people who run the place. WiFi does not work well (or not at all) in the rooms but is available in the lobby or at the bar. They serve nice breakfast and generally really nice food. Service was friendly and great.

If you want to benefit from a cold room without extra charge, go there out of season, like mid-March: no heating in certain rooms, and 1 unfortunate towel warmer which is largely insufficient...
Or ask for a bathtub to be installed so you can sleep in the bathroom.
Unless you go through a considerate travel organizer.
A receptionist who only speaks Italian; 1 electric roller shutter which does not go up completely but whose motor continues to try to do so...
A closure would be necessary while waiting for sunny days!

I stayed in this village the week of August.
Clean, spacious room but the food: truly canteen-style with poor quality frozen products and very few variables if you take into account that I paid
350 euros per day x 2.
Breakfast was the worst with discount products and when I asked for two boiled eggs I was told that I would pay for them as extras.
When salty apart from a little ham there was nothing.
At that point I asked to speak to the director but he never showed up.
In the dining room there were waiters like the head waitress with very thick, loose curly hair that fell onto the plates and nails with fuchsia nail polish, filthy tablecloths and dirty floors.
The mid-August lunch was a real torment for hours and hours sitting in the room without air conditioning.
And in the 7 days of our stay the only decent dish eaten only once was fried fish.
It's a shame because it's on the sea, a splendid sea, but the kitchen needs to be closed and checked by the nas.

Speaking of the hotel staff who were quite friendly, despite not being able to help a customer who got hurt inside the facility. The food is good, but don't eat the prawns, cooked without cleaning them. My room had a small television and didn't get all the channels, a soft mattress, hard pillows, a very bad smell of sewage, and I had ants, I complained, but they didn't do anything. The beach is beautiful but not well looked after by inattentive and rude lifeguards. No service to visit other places around, so either you come by car or you are stuck in the Village which offers nothing other than the beautiful sea. What can I say, the only strong point and the private beach attached to the village, the silence and they make a good coffee......don't expect courtesy, availability and good cleanliness.,.... The last thing.......from 9 September with 160 customers and a summer temperature, they closed the beach bar......

Very nice place, excellent food quality. But one thing that bothered me was that the cutlet was frozen and I say unfortunately because both the panzerottini and the meatballs and the pasta with sauce and the fries. But super, promoted...

We stayed in a bungalow just a stone's throw from the sea, indeed pampered by the rustling of the waves...The room, although not large, is equipped with all the essentials including a fridge and air conditioning and with the great convenience of being able to park the car directly behind your bungalow. The food is varied and plentiful. The jewel in the crown is the wonderful sea which has nothing to envy of the more well-known ones, with a beach that allows you to take long walks and reach other equally beautiful places. It's definitely worth going back!

A quiet, clean village with discreet entertainment all on the shoulders of a very young but very good Rosy. Good food, sometimes excellent, barman Michele with excellent cocktails. A small flaw is the lack of a mini bazaar, crystal clear sea

This year too, no doubts in the choice: Hotel dei Byzantini! Guest of the structure in July and September, I can only confirm the same quality standard in both periods, excellent welcome, excellent catering, cleanliness of the rooms and beach service. Excellent choice of all the staff who are always available, polite and kind... In short, nothing to complain about! Everything perfect, highly recommended!!!!
