We have just had a wonderful evening meal at the restaurant, really tasty, interesting and well presented food. The service was excellent, discrete and professional. The location on the roof terrace only added to a great evening, especially with the swifts screeching.

Stayed here for one night as part of a cycling tour of the Puglia region. Top class hotel with superb service from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Well trained staff and a high class restaurant where we had one of the best meals we have ever eaten.

I can not fault a thing. The rooms, the breakfast, the location, the ambiance. And the staff are wonderful. They set up our excellent restaurant reservations, sun beds at the beach which was fabulous (as was the beach restaurant). The hotel restaurant is superb.
We shall return.

This hotel and restaurant in Manduria is exceptional in every way. Great value, comfortable and spacious rooms, a restaurant that deserves a Michelin star, and a well trained, friendly and attentive staff. They go out of there way to accommodate their guests. Its a real gem

My wife and I spent a night here during our bike tour of Puglia. Riding into the town we weren't sure what we were getting ourselves into as the town is not as scenic as many of the other towns we visited during our trip. As we got closer to the hotel, we were sure that our GPS was sending us down the wrong way as the surrounding area looked a little rough. As we came around the last corner though we were amazed to see such a beautiful building in the midst of the old buildings and graffiti.

We were welcomed by a very nice front desk attendant who quickly checked us in and showed us where to park our bikes for the night. She then showed us to our room which was beautiful and had a nice balcony overlooking the street below.

My wife was not feeling well this night and she went without dinner, but wanting to be with her the hotel was kind enough to phone a local restaurant and order a pizza for me which I ran out to get. The staff was very helpful.

The next morning we enjoyed breakfast, and perhaps this was the only let down. The yogurt was all passed their expiry dates and there weren't many items to choose from. But all is all this was a beautiful location with very pleasant and helpful staff.

You simply can't go wrong with this hotel. An absolute gem tucked away a historical southern city of Manduria! I have stayed there twice and was simply blown away by the structure, architecture, stunning suites and five star cuisine. The service and hospitality is exceptional. The staff will go out of their way to make you feel like royalty. Breakfast room service is a real treat. A personal touch! I have stayed in the suite on the second floor, which is amazing. The decor is modern minimalist but doesn't feel cold or sterile, but extremely cozy and warm. The restaurant is the best in the city and one of the finest southern Italy. Simply put, if you go to this hotel, you'll never want to leave. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for a romantic, family or even business stay. I promise you, YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Positives are the central location, hotel staff and size of room which was well serviced. Also we had two fabulous meals on the roof terrace, the second came with unexpected live music and the opportunity for a romantic dance! Our waitress, Georgia, (?) was a treasure and will go on to a great career in hospitality. Our room on the ground floor was elegant , quiet and comfortable, although I did feel somewhat claustrophic due to complete lack of 'view'. The negative was actually finding our way by car to the electric garage gates behind the hotel; who would have thought that arriving at the front on foot was so easy but negotiating the excruciatingly narrow and illogical streets would lead to so much marital tension?! As we were staying for 4 nights this could have been a disaster....or perhaps we're just old and have lost our sense of direction. Even if it's impossible for the hotel to provide map or written directions, I think a Hotel Borromeo Garage sign would help others, including one on the gate itself? Although other guests mention the good breakfast, I must to beg to differ; there was no understanding of what an 'Americano' coffee was which led to complicated expresso + water + milk arrangement. There was no hot food option which I would expect at the star rating and price we were paying and no fresh fruit juice. The only juice was a truly awful synthetic variety with enough sugar to kill the average diabetic. Likewise only sugar filled or full fat yoghurt. I think we were practically the only guests for a few days and the tiny display of limited fresh fruit was frankly shaming. Sorry.

Stayed 5 nights in a superior room, well worth it. The hotel was beautiful, clean and well kept. I did feel like we were the only guests. Very quiet little town with a sweet nightlife (not too wild) although not much to do in the day except siesta! Which suited me just fine. Local restaurants are lovely and inexpensive. Had a lovely stay in Manduria, it's truly a place where you can indeed relax away from hectic london city life and I will definitely return to this hotel, in fact I've already booked for July.

What a beautiful hotel! And the staff were incredibly nice with directions for parking, restaurants, and places to see. The rooms are large and perfectly comfortable, the breakfast generous and delicious. A special shout out to giusepina, hope I got close to the right spelling. She even helped us load our bags. While navigating the manduria streets is a challenge, it is worth it, particularly if you stay here. Very well located.

First of all, it's a really hard place to find - even with a GPS. Luckily, we got pretty close to the street (alley) that leads to the hotel and we asked someone for help. They were guests at the hotel and basically led us right there.

On check-in, the person at the desk didn't offer very much help. They didn't seem to want to tell us where to park. (It turns out that there is a separate garage area.) Similarly, I asked about restaurants knowing that the restaurant at the hotel had gotten pretty good reviews. There was no mention of the hotel restaurant by the staff person. We probably would have eaten there if that had been offered as an option.

While some people call the room to be zen like, I felt it was drab and Spartan.

The breakfast was fine, but not any better than the several other places we stayed at during our 16 nights in Italy. For a 'better' hotel, I would expect fresh orange juice.

On the plus side, we really did like Manduria as a charming small town with enough to see and do to justify staying there.
