The Acheron Cottages is fantastic accommodation and would be excellent for families. Modern, comfortable cottage with nice furniture and fittings, and stunning views. I would be happy to just stay and look out of the windows! Lots of little extras included to make your stay pleasant. Very good value accommodation, immaculate and a good bed.

We stayed in Awe Burn Cottage which was Beautifully appointed. Comfortable beds! Spacious wet area bathroom with good water pressure in the shower. Amazing views from the verandah. Not far from the bigger town of Te Anu (about 15mins) for groceries. The kitchen is also a great open plan space. Highly recommend here as a peaceful place to stay. Only...

This is a lovely two bedroomed cottage with garden, BBQ, clothes line, washing machine and dryer in a great location. It’s warm, comfortable and convenient for visiting both Doubtful Sound (10 mins to ticket office at Pearl Harbour) and Milford Sound (approx. 2 hour drive) as well as exploring the very scenic area. Manapouri is a characterful place and the...

These cottages are slightly out of town and that is a massive positive. What great places to stay. Clean and well located with great views of snow and mountains. New hosts as place just sold. Doing some real improvements. An absolute must in Matapouri.

We stayed 3 nights at these great little cottages. They were spacious, comfortable, clean, new and had everything you could need. Having access to a washing machine, dryer (and outside line) was great. The cottages were also very well located ,easy to find and in a very peaceful location, with beautiful mountain views. The best part is the host Zeb,...

We stayed 2 nights and we loved the views from the cottage; sitting in the sun on the terrace in the afternoon. And most of all the very well furnished cottage. Everything you need is here. We were for 5 weeks in NZ and this cottage was the best location in these weeks.

We stayed at Acheron Cottages for just one night, but would have loved to stay longer. The small cottages are very cute, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. It's an amazing place to cook a barbecue with a glass of wine in one hand and watch the sun set over the mountains.

Somewhat out of the way in Manapouri, NZ, the two cottages are gigantic in size. Literally a two bedroom home with spacious living room, dining room & kitchen, the cottages are immaculate. Well worth the drive if you are considering Doubtful or Milford sounds. Great hosts too!

What a great review. Thank you. The cottages grow on the inside I think. They don't look that big outside. Pleased you enjoyed your time here and hope we can have you stay again sometime. Janice and Zeb
