We stayed there for three days in February. Manapouri is a wonderful alternative to the much busier Te Anau, if you are looking for peace and quiet, a most beautiful view of the lake, and do not mind not having many stores and facilities around. It is only 20 minutes from Te Anau and the doubtful sound cruises leave from...

Extraordinary views from every room, super friendly people, lots of parking, clean and tidy. This property is well worth a visit. It was built (I guess) in the 1960s and it's showing that in it's style but has been well maintained. The bar is good fun on a Saturday night with a live band to boggie with the gumboot wearing...

This place is AWESOME!!! Excellent Bar& restaurant!! Super friendly and helpful staff! Super clean and the best view of Lake Manapouri ! Awesome menu & entertainment! Worth the trek all the way down here! And you're surrounded by the majesty of Fiordland on all sides. Easiest way to see Doubtful & Te Anau. We hope we can make it back...

We stayed one night only at this motel, thank god! The front desk people were nice, the location is nice and very close to the lake. However, as soon as we walked into the room, the horrible moldy, stale odor overcome us! I am very allergic to mold! The room was very, very old and everything is dated. The bathroom...

Thank you for taking time to review your stay with us. Feed back is good to have. I have been unaware of a mould issue, we will investigate this further. I am curious that you chose chose to tell us that you only slept on the top of the bed. Im not sure how anyone will benifit from this piece...

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed this motel. It was well located clean and quiet. A very good base to explore the area. Staff were friendly and helpful. While the wifi was a bit flakey it was good enough for what we wanted

Good location opposite lake at Manapouri and next to Manapouri Tavern/hotel and 20km from Ti Anua. Rooms were small and dated. Poor showers with weak water flow and no room to change. Motel did offer cooking area for guests and parking close to rooms. Motel was cheap and you get what you pay for !

The hotel offers nothing to rave about, in fact its the opposite. While it is quite clean it is very dated (not an issue for me) but the room smelled damp and somewhat musty which took away from the clean feel. I tried to spend as little time as possible there instead, took advantage of the location and walked along...

Stayed here for 2 nights, a great base for a Milford Sound Cruise. Lovely, quaint old style motel, but with character and one of the best views in New Zealand! Our room overlooked Lake Manapouri which is stunning both at sunrise, during the day and at sunset. This huge lake has a backdrop of the Fiordland National Park, just stunning....

These small units at Manapouri Lake View offer clean but basic accommodation. Our unit was equipped for 4 but that would have been quite a squeeze! The breakfast is basic, if you take it. But there again the view from the dining room is spectacular. Don't miss the chance to feed the delightful alpacas

Basic hotel, located next to a stunning lake, with private chalet type rooms with private bathrooms and parking. Although the rooms were dated they were clean and had everything expected such as TV, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Our room was raised and located behind the first row of chalets, providing a reasonable lake view. The onsite restaurant...
