I don't write reviews, however, I would be amiss if I did not share and sing the praises of this magical place. Casa Flamboyant is not just a place to stay....It is truly an experience. From the time you are driving higher and higher up the mountain, and wonder what you have signed yourself up for, to the time you... More

I found Casa Flamboyant online, loved the photos, and booked immediately. I then almost cancelled because I realized the house was on the South side of El Yunque. That would have been one of the worst decisions of my life. DO NOT let the drive intimidate you; it is not a big deal. Go slow, roll the windows down, smell the... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here in early January and absolutely loved the whole experience. Ricky, Florin, and Obi are wonderful hosts, the property and backdrop are gorgeous, and El Yunque is a fun place to explore and get dirty. There are two trails on the property that lead down to a mountain river and series of pools and waterfalls.... More

Stayed one night with my girlfriend and all I can say is Ricky and Florin got it going on... Stayed in the rainbow room and was graced with the clearest most beautiful rainbow I've ever seen. Took one of the hiking trails (about 15 minutes) to a perfect swimming hole in one of the three rivers on the property. Had... More

I can only echo what everyone else has said. The property is astonishingly beautiful, Obi is one of the coolest dogs on planet earth (he lives in a rain forest and swims in a waterfall-fed pool everyday, for goodness sake!), and Ricky and Florin are absolutely delightful. We splurged a bit and stayed in the Rainbow Room, which was well... More

The house is beautiful with an amazing view. Your hosts Ricky and Florin could not be more accommodating. The breakfasts are delicious! Obi, the dog, is a real lover. Don't miss the sunrise! There are short hikes on the grounds, with longer more adventurous very nearby. Or, just relax by the pool.

Imagine you have friends with a wonderful house just half a kilometer outside of El Yunque. They feed you a huge delicious breakfast each day that meets all your food restrictions and features tropical fruit grown on the property (local bananas completely spoil you for supermarket ones). You sleep in your private room to the sound of coquis. You have... More

This place is not only magical to the eye but I recommend everyone and anyone wanting to get away from their normal day to come here. Ricky and Florin are wonderful spirits and they went above and beyond to make us feel 100% comfortable. Worth every penny!

The best way to experience El Yunque rain forest. The property is outstanding, with private hiking trails that the resident dog (Obi) will lead you on. He will even swim in the river with you! My wife and I loved having Obi there, he's one of the nicest dogs we've ever met. Being right in the rainforest, the trails wind... More

This was far and away the best place we stayed in Puerto Rico (and we stayed at quite a few). We were made to feel extremely welcome by Ricky & Florin, and Obi their dog, who were so friendly and full of advice and tips and just genuinely lovely people. The breakfasts were astonishingly good. We spent a whole day... More
