What I thought would be a great experience for an international exchange student turned out to be a nightmare. Upon advising the owner (Jean Temkin) I could only check-in after 21h00 due to other commitments, Jean told me in no uncertain terms that it was unacceptable and I may arrive and not be able to access the room we had...

The place looks ok, but... The owner of gothic beliefs is strange and scary. This lady is very strange with the way she walks around and looks and talks to people, she in fact scared us away, we decided to leave as it was just to strange. Good luck with families staying here as this person would scare them all...

Lovely spacious self catering cottage. Large lounge and kitchen with sufficient utensils and appliances. Patio overlooking neighbouring farms. Comfortable and spacious. Pub on premises that offer meals, plus they now have baked goods - I.e pies, pastries and more. Putt putt, glass studio and clothing shop on premises.

We stayed at Millgate Farm house 2 for the weekend of 3rd - 4th June. After reading some really bad reviews I was very worried about the choice, so I thought I would write a review of what we experienced. The cottage was clean, one of the beds was somewhat uncomfortable, but not unbearable. The kitchen was clean and adequately...

Upon arriving at Millgate I was taken aback at how different the place looked as compared to the pictures on the website. The room we were given had a terrible odour, the linen looked unclean and the room itself made my skin crawl. However, Jean's erratic and hysterical reaction to my understandable disappointment was the cherry on the cake!

My husband booked Millgate for a one night getaway to the Midlands - as it was Valentine's most other hotels and B&B's were booked. Perhaps a warning sign right there and then? I realise it is a very affordable self catering property but it is just not good enough - the rooms need SERIOUS renovations and the linen, towels etc....

Had a lovely time at Millgate. Stayed in the quaintly named Lulworth Cove. Reasonably priced accommodation, clean rooms, pleasant staff and a good central location. They also have a cute pub that serves meals, the Cottage Pie was delicious!

My husband and myself were supposed to joined our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter for one night at Millgate. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the accommodation, obviously old but with great charm and set in beautiful gardens and under giant trees. The rooms are neat, clean and well equipped. We decided that we would like to stay over a...

We arrived at this awful place, only to leave straight away as we could not bring ourselves to sleep on those disgusting beds. The place was old with dirty linen, dirty towels and inadequate sleeping facilities. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This reviewer was amongst a party of dagga-smoking, drunken Yuppies who left without paying early in the morning before the staff arrived. Only once I had caught up with them and demanded payment did they write these malicious reviews. Hence, while they on 21 December they did not write the review until a 13th January.

Their pictures are very deceiving... the place needs an interior revamp urgently. We arrived to find a musty, smelly "suite". I know its a fairly cheap place to stay but the linen stank to high heaven - not sure when it was last cleaned... We booked and paid for 3 nights and checked out after 1 They really would benefit...
