The room was nice and spacious, no complaints there, but the bathroom was in desperate need of renovation. You pay $200, which is really not worth it. No wonder they had no guests when we were there. If they lowered the prices to something more reasonable for what you get they would probably have more business.

We stayed here twice - once on the way up to Everest and again on the way down. We enjoyed this particular lodge as it seemed very relaxed and the manager was always visible and friendly. On our second visit it had been a cloudy day so there wasn't much hot water from the solar heater so he let us...

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are very glad to know you enjoyed your stay with us. Our doors are open to all and we totally value our relationship with the porters, for without them there would be no successful trips. It just humbles us to realize how they add to the overall service...

My wife and I stayed at Summit Lodge in Monjo twice during our trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp in spring 2015 and we loved it! The location between Lukla and Namche is perfect and the sherpa staff are so friendly and serviceminded. The atmosphere in the restaurant are really cosy. Nice rooms with heated beds and hot showers and...

Amazing location with great views and lovely food. Spacious en-suite rooms with electric blankets, a real luxury in this region, especially when you consider everything has to be carried in by porters. My real highlight of my stay here was having a delicious breakfast overlooking the mountains, with attentive staff topping up my lovely cup of tea.

My first night in the Kumbuh was at this luxury lodge in Monjo. Arriving there from a 6 hours trek and be greeted by a beautiful smile, a refreshing towel and some comfortable slippers made me feel at home straight away. A delicious homemade cake and some tea was served close to the stove in the restaurant. Very cosy -...

Greeted after a wonderful days trekking with the Mountain ... Not to busy considering it as high season... Jamling Norgay was with a group, a very humble man who chatted to all over a wonderful dinner, alcohol is available but we skipped it. Good phone signal but no internet. Handy for a safety txt home

This was our first lodge stay during our Everest Base Camp trek, having walked from Lukla. We had been delayed a little out of Kathmandu so it was around 6 p.m. when we arrived in Monjo so it was dark when we got there and we didn't get to see much of the place until the next morning. We got...

This is one of the best ESL lodges !! Breakfast was served in a library/lounge and service was superb. The rooms are rather dark but beds are comfortable with a good working shower. There was no electric blankets so I was given a hot water bottle. I believe this is a newer lodge. My lodge was booked by Himalaya Expeditions...

Stayed here for 2 nights on the way up, and 2 more nights on the way down. Service excellent, food terrific (way too much, but that's our fault for eating it all!) and location wonderful. Rooms are on the small side, and a little dark, but the electric blankets are very welcoming. There is a large balcony on the 1st...

This place has small, dark rooms, very average and very expensive food ($22 for dinner which is a no choice, high carb affair), staff who do not engage to any extent. Across the path a new Yeti has opened which is miles nicer and at $150 for dinner, bed and breakfast, miles better value. The rooms and bathroom are incomparably...
