The Khumbu lodge has been the flagship hotel in Namche Bazaar for years and everyone from Jimmy Carter to Sir Edmund Hillary used to call in when in town. On my last visit however the place felt a bit rundown. The bathroom wasn't very clean and only two out of six lights in the room actually worked with none working...

I stayed at this place several nights while on my way up to tree passes trek and on the way down. This lodge is excellent, just like a nice hotel. The rooms are nice and the bathroom facility was good enough and much better than other places I have stayed. One can also have their own en-suit bathroom if you...

A clean, well-run lodge in the heart of Namche Bazar with comfortable rooms. Well worth a visit, especially on the way back from a long trek as the food is excellent! The menu includes pretty decent sandwiches and pizzas - a welcome change from all the fried stuff higher up on the trails - and the chocolate cake is delicious....

I was there a month ago and I must say it is the best lodge. Food is very good and the beds were superb. The owner Pasang Sherpa and his staff were very welcoming and they took great care of our needs. I will again stay in this hotel on my next trek .

We were lucky to stumble upon Khumbu Lodge in Namchee. It was a wonderful surprise, We opted for a basic room which was of a high standard. The room was clean & warm, beds comfortable, gas hot shower (which was amazing). Pemba the owner has even gone the extra mile by putting some rubber type of product down the hallways...

I recently stayed at the Khumbu Lodge in Namche Bazaar whilst doing the Everest Base Camp trek with a large group of 16. The accommodations were one of the best (if not the best) we encountered during the 2 week trek. We first stayed for 2 days on our way up (including the acclimatization day) and then stayed 1 night...
