So as I always say, accommodation round this area is some what thin, and if the OU are running courses it really does become difficult and of course the prices get ramped up. So we found The Dukes whilst travelling from Cheshire for work in the Milton Keynes area, read most the reviews etc and it seemed a) To have...

Surprised not many dining considering how good we found the establishment to be, good menu choice and not overpriced, service was excellent, staff attentive but not intrusive, the food looked and tasted superb. Absolutely no mistakes in any area for our visit, very pleased, will visit again. Thank you all at 'The Dukes'

I booked a table for 12 of us last night (Thursday). The main seating area is in a large conservatory at the back of the pub. We sat on a long table together. Our table was lit with candles, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. However I did find it difficult to read the menu, as the printed sheets were...

Had the fabulous pleasure of staying at The Dukes with my family on New Years Eve. We had a family room which was light airy and spacious. The fridge was stocked and the linen beautifully pressed. The boys were over the moon with their sausages which they had with skinny fries and peas whilst my husband I devoured The Dukes...

The meal was very generous and not your average faire good selection and not long to wait (we were only ones in though). Breakfast seemed a little pricey so we grabbed some on the road. On check in there seemed to be a problem with my U.S. card and pin not being accepted (even though I used it no probs...

We stayed in Flat 4, which is one of 4 rooms in a converted out-building in the yard of the Pub. It's not large, but quite satisfied our needs. A shower and a good bed to sleep the night away in. Very quiet and plenty of room to park. If that wasn't enough, the adjoining pub is great. Nice fire,...

The Dukes Steak and Ale Pie has to be the best we have ever tasted. Completely home made by their chef, bursting with quality beef from Leighton's own Butcher H G Stratton and with ale from Leighton Buzzard Brewery the pie is truly delicious. Light shortcrust pastry melts in the mouth and extra rich gravy with a portion of home...

We had a two-night stay in October. Our room was lovely, with little touches like a fridge stocked with drinks, snacks and fresh milk, and plenty of cupboard space along with lots of coat hangers. We arrived late and even though there was a Halloween party with a great live band on in the main part of the pub, we...

Good overnight stay. Bit small for 2 people for any longer. Basic but clean. Pub food is very good and friendly staff. Rooms do not have much sound insulation though - you are very aware of people in the next room. It is in the car park of the pub so be prepared for the noise of people's long conversations...
