Found this campground caters mainly to seasonal lots . It was unusual having to pay on booking not on arrival. Sites are small. Firewood not sold on site. Staff was hard to locate and not very accommodating. Next time we will camp at Greenwood by the river, fabulous little campground.

We stayed for 10 days and had a great time. The campground has 2 sections, the permanent residents and the seasonal/overnight section but everyone can access all facilities. There are 2 playgrounds, an indoor pool, washrooms with showers and a laundromat. The proximity to the river and to the town of sundre is a great feature as well. The campground boasts free wifi but rarely were we able to get a signal. The staff was friendly and the pool was very well maintained.

Unfortunately we arrived during a fire ban, and not only that but the smoke from the forest fires was so thick it blocked out the suns rays. So that coloured our experience some, but the campground was clean, the sites were roomy, it was pretty quiet, and the kids loved the pool & the playground. I am still not sure if the property had river access - I wish I tried harder to find out, but the weather made us just stick around the campground and use our family pass to the indoor pool.

Charged the most of any site we have stayed at outside of a large center campground. Electricity, but non potable water. Charged a $6.50 booking fee also, when we had not booked a site but merely stopped to see if they had one. Swimming pool is expensive if one wishes to swim. I would not recommend this campground.

We booked sites beside our friends along the grass near the park. These sites have water and power but no sewer hook-up. There is a sani-dump free of use on the way out of the campground though.

Some sites are more private and treed than others. The ones along the grass near the park are very much in the open and not very big, but on a plus side nice to be so close to the park if you have kids and want to watch them play from your site. The park is quite large and there was another one very similar to it in another part of the campground.

The pool is extra but only about $4 per kid 4 and older and you have to be 12 I think or you have to have an adult with you. Kids 3 and under are free and the cost is good for the day. There is also a hot tub. You need to have your own towel.
9:30 to 10:30 am - Adult Swim
10:30 am to 7:30 pm - General Swim
7:30 to 8:30 pm - Adult Swim

There is a store that sells snacks where you register and go in to the pool.

Our kids brought their bikes and enjoyed riding around the campground.

Gate access 6 am - 11:30 pm

We very much enjoyed this campground and look forward to going back again.
