Went out to Panther for a horseback riding weekend with friends. It was fantastic. We were definitely there in the off season, so barely saw another soul. We slept in tent #2. It was cozy and spacious for 5 of us. We set up camp right outside the tent and were able to make all our meals easily. The bathrooms were the nicest campground bathrooms I’ve ever seen! The horse accommodations were equally great. Make sure you bring a pitch fork to clean out your stall. We found a lot of great rides, right from the lodge. We will definitely be back!
We went for a girlfriends get away and had an amazing time! The cabin was exactly as in their website, comfortable, cozy, and clean. The staff are fabulous and the food was fantastic. We so enjoyed the River running out front of the cabin, the fire pit and the lodge. Was a wonderful get away!
We received such a warm welcome I felt immediately at home. :) The staff is awesome! It was a pleasure to have met you and thank you to all. The service and knowledge of the area top notch! Delicious meals, exceptionally clean cabin and a perfect location. Wish I had discovered this sooner while on my one day travels out that way. (I guess I was too busy looking for wildies.) Particularly during this time in 2020, it was a much needed respite. My first time in a helicopter so wasn't sure what to expect but I had complete trust in Terry given all his experience. I could have stayed up there all day! I was so enthused that I can't remember if I even thanked him....so Terry, thank you so very much. It was great to meet you and have such an awesome experience! My next life maybe I'll take the courses. Haha. Love this place and the people!…
I am Dani and I had the time of my life at Panther River Lodge. The staff members were joyfully present, friendly and very knowledgeable. The food was divine! The service impeccable. The cabins were clean and smelt nice and fresh. The environment . . . simply spectacular! The helicopter ride was out of this world and Terry (the pilot and host), is the best heli-pilot I have ever flown with. I would have stayed up there for days, LOL! Last but not least, the horseback riding in the Rockies was both, challenging (which I absolutely appreciated), and magnificent. It was good for me to realize that I still got it, even at 68 years of age, Ha! Ha! I also realized that I am much more in shape than I thought I was. After a 2 hour horseback ride (almost 2 hours), up and down mountain trails, I thought I would feel it the next day. To my surprise, I felt like a teenager the next morning, and not a bone in my body hurt. Blew me away, to say the least! I recommend this place any time. I am even considering spending Christmas and New Year there with my family. Had a ball! Thank you all for being who you are! It was great to leave behind the New Normal, and to get back to what I consider to be the "REAL NORMAL". Love you all! Love you all! Dani xoxoxoxox…
Loved our weekend at this slice of Paradise! The campsite was clean and spacious, with plenty of wood on offer for purchase. How nice to have a real fire! The main lodge is a fabulous spot for a beer. Great hiking advice and warm and welcoming folks. My coffee maker was on the fritz- they kindly filled me up every morning. Looking forward already to going back!
This lodge is beautiful. Based in the edge of the mountains river runs through the property We stayed in a wall tent the wood stove kept us plenty warm The lodge itself offers meals which looked delicious We will go back again for sure
We had a fantastic time, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They catered to our every need and more! Anyone looking for an adventure or a premier location for an outdoor wedding, we couldn’t say more about Panther River Lodge! 11 out of 10!! Shaun and Karen Clark and Family
In the middle of nowhere. No cell service. The sound of the river trickling down stream is absolutely poetic. The views all around are gorgeous and untouched. The food that was served at dinner was warm and delicious... the fresh biscuits were heaven. The warm muffins and scones in the morning were just what we needed to get our day started. Cabin was beautiful and clean. An assortment of books of board games...our kids loved the dr.seuss green eggs and ham. We will come back again.
My husband and I spent one night at the lodge before heading into the YaHa on a multi day backpacking trip. The Dogwood Shanty was just right for two people and the near by shower house was great! We expected the shower house to be much more rustic but it was lovely and clean. The Lodge was the perfect base camp for us! The signature breakfast was delicious - fresh from the oven muffins!! All of the staff were super friendly and helpful, they even asked us to check in on our way out of the bush so they knew we'd made it out ok. We'll definitely be back!
The lodge is situated right next to the banks of the Panther river, and has a very remote feel, accessible by gravel road only. The rooms are charming and cosy featuring gorgeous wood construction. It's a great, quiet setting, perfect for couples or families. The restaurant is also amazing, they offer fresh baking for breakfast and cook you up a delicious feast at dinner. Great wine selection as well!
