Detailed Reviews
This is a wonderful place and we thoroughly enjoyed the two nights we spent here recently. Erika and Klaus are such hospitable hosts, making us feel very welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. The four of us were the only guests at the time and we had the beautiful upstairs area to ourselves The place is very clean and we spent hours sitting the the balcony enjoying the scenery. Erika serves a delicious and substantial breakfast every day. We felt sad when it was time to say goodbye. Thank you very much.

I have stayed with Erika and Klaus a number of times now. They are amazingly accommodating and welcoming, the food is fantastic, the rooms are big, comfortable and clean and the house and farm is beautiful. Only good things to say, I look forward to my next stay.

It's a beautiful place in Canada. I love it :) and I will come back... When I was writing my postcards, i saw the bear maybe 500 meters away. It's perfect :D

Brot: Toast, Sauerteig, Rosinenstuten. Melone, 2 Marmeladen, Kaffee, O-Saft. Muffins sehr lecker. Aufenthalt am 07.06.15, 1 Nacht. Nächste Kritik: Sealaska Inn, Hyder, Alaska

+1
We stayed with Erika and Klaus at their in their ranch B&B and would return there without question if we visited the area again. From the outset we were made to feel like true guests and over our time with them had some great conversations. The location is beautiful, and at night, silent, apart from a short nocturnal visit by a coyote that evoked a response from their dogs. Alas no bear sighting on the property, but lots of horses. Highly recommended.

Erika is amazing with everything. She has a detail for every single aspect of your stay. The place is between Kispiox and Hazelton, which makes it very convenient. The hosts are welcoming in all the extension of the word. The house has a sauna, bathtub, shower, and a great dog (Emma) to accompany you on your hikes. Emma is well trained and takes good care of you.
I had an excellent relaxing (and working) stay.

Klaus and Erika are wonderful hosts at this Trakehner horse breeding farm.
Set in a broad river valley, the Trakehner Hof property has incredible mountain vistas in every direction and is bordered by the Skeena River.
Erika's fresh baked muffins and boiled eggs from the farm's hens are tasty and complement the European-style breakfast of fruit, breads, meats and cheeses. Spring water from the property is delicious and perhaps the secret ingredient in the delicious coffee.
Klaus toured us around the property and through pastures where sweet and affectionate horses "line up" to take their turn being petted.
The room we stayed in was large, clean and comfortable and had a view to the pasture with grazing mares and their foals. At the end of a day filled with local sightseeing (and horse shopping), it was a treat to relax in the sauna and soak in the jetted tub in the large bathroom. The rooms are located in a separate wing of the house from the private residence. Breakfast is served in a bright, sunny lounge which was also available to us to relax in outside of our room.
Our hosts offered us chairs and utensils when we announced our plans to picnic on the riverbank. Between the swift flowing waters of the Skeena, the magical energy of the horses, and the relaxed atmosphere created by our hosts, we had a soothing trip that left us feeling refreshed and wanting to return.
