My husband and I were back here over Easter for our third visit. This time the staff were much happier than last Easter which has a lot to do with the Managers Nabil and Bev. It is obvious though that the Resort is just marking time due to the closure for renovations at the end of April. The new Chinese...

Oyster island is just paradise. We spent 5 night and 2 nights we were the only tourist there. It was like just having your own butler ,cook it was just magic. The staff couldn't do anymore for you especially Helen, David and the 2 John. The steak there just melted in your mouth, even the big resorts in port villa can't bet it....

One of the finest experiences I've ever had at a hotel/resort, period. Oyster Island is less of a resort and more like staying with family...family that happens to live in paradise. The environment, people, service, food and accommodations are all top-notch. I stayed for four days during a tour of the South Pacific last month which included Tanna Island (also...

You can't argue that it has a fantastic setting. Stunning surrounding coastline, quaint little huts and nicely decorated layout. The island is much bigger than you think so have a good walk around. There is a path that loops it! Free kayaks was awesome and we really loved the food each day. Top marks to the chef especially for the...

We loved the friendly staff especially the lovely Christina, and appreciated the professionalism and care from managers Bev and Nabil. There is so much to do at Oyster that we could have stayed a week - snorkelling, exploring islands by canoe, or doing walks on the island to quiet and private beaches. We stayed in the budget accommodatiion after a...

Firstly, Oyster Island is a truly beautiful place in a fabulous location. We never got tired of the outlook from our room, or walking the perimeter of the island, and the grounds and common areas always looked very tropical and well kept. Often the place felt deserted, even though we knew what other guests were there. Not a problem for...

Oyster island is a beautiful island ! We made a walk around the island and discovered some pretty amazing beaches, the resort itself feels a bit tired..The paths around the island were not maintained, there was no decent way to get into the sea.Their main attraction a plan wreck to snorkel to was badly signed and was almost impossible to...

I wasn't overly impressed with Oyster Island at all. The place was DEAD!! We were the only couple there, every night we ate alone, drank alone, there was no ambience!! If you want to stay here, make sure you are prepared to pay for all your water, as the water isn't "safe to drink" which is a lie, as we...

Location excellent with warm clear water. However nearby island can be very noisy at night. Accommodation basic with exposed wiring and not so comfortable bedding. t. Ran out of bottled water and wine over Christmas period as management does not seem to cope well and they are not always around to supervise.
