We called in for lunch at random (there was a space along the road to park a motorhome as we were passing). There was a warm welcome from the receptionist and from the bar staff. We had "open sandwiches", served with salad and chips and both were excellent, as was the coffee.

This was our second stay at the Cartwright to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was even better than our first! You can be assured of a very friendly welcome and service throughout. The room and bed were exceptionally comfortable and warm and the food was delicious - especially the Chateaubriand. The staff genuinely remembered us from a year ago and...

We stayed for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the room was tiny but comfortable enough if a little tired and grubby in areas. The bathroom layout was long and down some steps which when you are not used to and using in the middle of the night can be a little hazardous. The rooms also are upstairs and...

Stayed here for one night prior to a visit to Bicester Shopping Village on the recommendation of a friend. Thought that we would never get there as our Satnav took us down every byeway in Oxfordshire. Arrived to a tepid welcome, perfectly polite and professional but not particularly warm. Not shown to the bedroom. Very quirky upstairs with stairs and...

Stayed here for two nights as part of a larger booking - wedding to attend. First impressions were excellent warm greeting from the receptionist Liliya I believe, from then it's all a question of detail, the room at the end of the converted stables was small (not warranting the price paid), the bathroom smaller and the location of the heated...

Beautiful little hotel in a nice and relaxing village. The rooms are really neat and tidy furnished with very good taste. Highly recommended to those who like the british culture and old buildings. Aynho park is just across, amazing to visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this charming hotel. The service was first rate in reception, in the bar and in the restaurant. The food was excellent, including the individually cooked breakfast, snack lunches and evening meals.

All pretty standard and I think thats the problem, it cost us a £130 for a midweek stay and i'm not sure where that money went, my friend had another room which cost £80 and was slightly...

What nice little hotel in the middle of Aynho. The staff was great, attentive and kind. The restaurant was clean and the food was OK. I say a little more salt on some of the dished I tried. The dessert was delicious, no complaints. Some negatives. Please provide a little more in the amenities. Such as Lotion, mouthwash. The bathroom...
