This is a lovely old chateau with a great restaurant and lots of history. it is a Relais and Chateau property. This chateau was where the French protestants (Huguenots) planned their ill fated rebellion against the House of Guise in 1560, which ended with many Huguenots being impaled on the iron fence at the nearby Chateau at Amboise. The Chateau...

The Chateau de Noizay is a bona fide historic mansion and that means its great, and it's not so great all at the same time. It is great in that it is a genuine experience of staying in a stately and historic home, fabulous rooms with original fixtures and antiques, beautiful worn and faded woodwork, spacious (De Luxe at least)...

Stayed three nights here in September. Approach to the chateau is very impressive - it's a classic French country house, crunchy gravel drive etc. Fella who took our bags to the room turned out to be the sommelier! Check in was fine and we were shown to the newer rooms in the annex - these were very nice, airy. No...

We stayed at Chateau de Noizay for three nights in August 2007 We decided to stay there after checking out their website which showed some impressive pictures of the property. The Chateau de Noizay website has beautifully taken pictures with wonderful lighting and great taste but this was most definitely done for the benefit of advertising the chateau. It's nothing...

My husband, 18 yr old daughter, and I stayed at Noizay for 2 nights after spending 4 nights in a teeny, unairconditioned Paris apartment. What a treat! Not only is the chateau just as it appears online, but the room was huge, the bathroom was huge, and the service was impeccable. The bed and bathroom linens are top of the...

First, let me comment on the previous poster's problem with deposits, etc.: I booked my room on Venere. Immediately got confirmation from the hotel. They never asked me for a credit card to hold the room. They didn't even ask for a cc imprint or a copy of our passports when we arrived. Could not have been simpler, more professional...

BEWARE.BEWARE.BEWARE. In may of this year I made a reservation at this hotel for a november stay.I cancelled two days later.A cancellation penalty would have only applied if I had cancelled in November itself.I cancelled 5 months in advance.Despite this my amex card was charged in november for one nights stay.I have email proof confirming my cancellation but have not...

I have read the previous reviews and perhaps I am too picky. We had asked for a room in the Clock Tower. The room was spacious and beautiful and the bathroom was huge. However, for a Relais and Chateaux there were a few blimps on the screen. First of all, we had several necessary (ie. beside) lightbulbs burned out. We...

My husband and I went for 5 days to Loire Valley after spending 5 days in Paris for a 2nd honeymoon. I am a HUGE francophile and wanted a luxurious, aristocratic experience in the Valley of the Kings. First, the chateau is beautiful with an interesting history. We had a very "French" room/suite that opened up on to the beautiful...

This hotel is one of the most treasured finds of my recent visit to the Valley of the Kings. The grounds are extensive for beautiful walks at sunset. The castle is nestled in a grove of enormous trees. The food was so amazing we did not leave the Chateau for dinner for three days. Breakfast in bed was included. The...
