This was different from other places we stayed in Costa Rica. The cabin had screen windows and a porch that looked into the forest at the river. Very quaint and cozy. There was a fan in the room that worked great. It was a little damp (room was dry) as it rained the day we were there. The rain sounded...

Wow talk about back to nature. Very basic accommodations, cabins have lower wood walls with screened in upper section. Cabins are perched on the edge of Rio Blanco a short but bumpy drive in from the highway. Very clean cabins but sparse, no chairs or table inside the cabin just a bed. The noise at night was off the chart...

Casa Rio Blanco Eco Friendly B&B was by far my favorite lodging during my three-week stay in Costa Rica. The cabins are artistically decorated and are enveloped in thick jungle. Our cabin was above the river. I loved the sounds of the river, frogs, and insects at night. The cabin also had a nice porch perfect for jungle yoga sessions...

After experiencing CR highway travel up close and personal for a week, our plan to depart Puerto Viejo at 5am in the rainy season for an expected 11am rental car dropoff at the SJ airport seemed increasingly risky. After a brief internet search we concluded that there was no other property as appealing as this, priced so attractively, and within...

We stayed here for two nights to break the journey from Tortuguero to San Jose. As it was low season, there were few other guests. We were made very welcome by the lady who owns the place, and had a good traditional breakfast. The cabin was beautiful, no glass in the windows just mosquito netting and the incredible sound of...

Let's start by the positive : this place is absolutely great. The cabanas are elegant yet simple, you are surrounded by lush vegetation, a ton of hummingbirds will come right by your balcony/terrasse, it's amazing. And just a few hundreds meters away from the place, you get to swim right into the wild Rio Blanco river. I had this fabulous...

We spent our dream night at Casa Rio del Blanco last week, when we were coming back from a rafting trip in Rio Paquare. We had this amazing impression to be alone sleeping outside in the jungle! All the little wooden lodges have superb view on the jungle, beautiful terrasses and are yet very confortable. The home-made dinner and breakfast...

I was only here for one night but could have easily stayed longer. I used this B&B in Guapiles as a stopover from San Jose to Tortuguero and am SO glad that I did. First, getting out of San Jose the day of my flight was a great decision in itself. But then retiring at this eco-lodge after a long...

This was our final destination and I have to admit it was very rustic but what a treat! We stayed 2 nights. The owner was very accommodating, and breakfast was great. We ate dinner there on our 2nd night and it was delicious. We saw tucans from our cabin and a sloth came down the tree 10 feet from our...

The Casa Rio Blanco experience was fantasic for our family. Hosts, Herbie and Annette, have created an incredibly beautiful garden estate. Their cliff side cabins are surrounded by lush, showy gardens filled with sculptures, waterfall and pools. Each of the cabins look down to the dramatic Rio Blanco River, and are clean, eco-style and comfortable. I had never slept in...
