Highly recommended. Stayed for just one night in a premium room with our dog whilst walking along the Cleveland Way. Room was large with a commanding view of the beautiful Runswick Bay. Very welcoming and comfortable after a long walk. Enjoyed a good dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Not surprisingly it was very quiet in February but the service...

Looking forward to a coffee overlooking over Runswick as I was thinking of booking the hotel for my parents anniversary weekend. Outside was a blackboard saying coffees served , I called into reception no one there but I could see staff through a window and they could see me , they must have been having a break or meeting they...

Loved the location, our room had the most beautiful view overlooking the bay. A very steep walk down to the beach and back, not one for the less mobile, a car park is available at the bottom so helps if needed. Well worth the effort though. Very little to do and quiet which was perfect. The food at the hotel...

When we were there they were having some plastering done so the front and entrance way was a bit messy. Our room was lovely (Barrowby) dark wood and rich colouring, big oak bed. Tea and coffee in the room with a kettle and well appointed bathroom. Lovely white fluffy towels. The room was lovely and warm. There were a few...

Great Location overlooking what is one of the most unspoiled bays on the Yorkshire coast. Decor though is a 'little tired' as one previous reviewer mentioned. Restaurant menu is also a bit dated. Not bad, but definitively room for improvement. Perhaps the last few, rather gushing reviews, were influenced by the awfulness of the previous management.

My family have been coming to this hotel for literally decades and have seen several owners/managers along the way. The "new" management is a big improvement on the last. They were extremely helpful before our visit (and as we were a party of 12, with various requirements, this was much appreciated) and during our stay, they were welcoming, friendly and...

Visited Sunday lunch time, Sunday lunch was lovely. My aunt had fish and chips and was enjoyed. We had our two dogs with us and they kindly gave them a dog bowl each with meats in. After the staff getting to know us they offered to show us a selection of there bedrooms, which also looked comfortable and clean. Majority...

Dear TheProtanos, Thank you for taking time to write a review on TripAdvisor. It was a real pleasure meeting you, your friends and your lovely dogs. We are all very pet friendly here and we prefer to offer our guests and visitors pets a treat rather than feeding the dust bin with the remains of the Sunday lunch. I look...
