We Have been stopping there on our way to the Alps for I think 20 years and it is always a huge pleasure. The setting is idyllic in winter and summer. It is beautifully decorated with a sitting room like in a smart private house with a huge fireplace and a roaring fire. The attention to detail, the friendly service,...

My wife and me went to this hotel as a get away/romantic weekend which are pretty rare when you have a child and this hotel lived up to our expectations. We were very friendly greeted and our room was ready. The room had a nice view of the garden, but the interior was red, leopard skin and gold, it was...

This was our first time in the Jura and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip, not least because of the excellent care and attention we received from Vanessa et Arnauld Baert together with Gloria, head of reception. Set in a quiet village, this R & C hotel is perfectly formed for a relaxing and restorative break. Our room was large and...

We recently spent four nights at the Chateau de Germigney. Every aspect was first rate. The room was very good, the setting is peaceful and beautiful, and the food is outstanding. But the best part of the stay there was the hospitality and gracious attitude of everyone from the innkeepers to all of the staff with whom we interacted. They...

This was our second stay at the Chateau and it was even better than the first. We had booked to stay at the hotel but eat at the bistro which is also owned by the hotel. The reason for this was that the dinner menu at the hotel was good but not to our personal taste, the bistro was simple...

It is now 15 years that we come to Chateau de Germigney once a year (more often when possible). This time we were lucky enough to stay for three nights. The hotel and staff deserve to be mentioned and praised again. Our stay was simply great as usual. We always look very much forward to our time there. In the...

This is a seriously excellent hotel. If you have the time and perhaps the funds you should try it. It is very difficult to get such a a broad range of excellence in service, people, food and facilities

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in a Suite. The room was large, very comfortable, lovely garden view and we slept well. The breakfast was lovely, however we prefer a continental breakfast with lots of fruit, juice etc The hotel grounds were exceptional.

Winston Churchill purportedly said: "I have simple taste; I like the best." Any hotel that is a member of Relais et Chateaux tends to have extremely high standards. Churchill would have approved. Because each one is unique, they can range from stuffy to congenial; overly grand to extremely comfortable. Germigney is an entirely welcoming and charming estate that reflects centuries...

It says something that we keep returning to this hotel. All the staff make us feel most welcome, and even greet us as returning friends. The standard of cleanliness continues to amaze, and small touches like the under floor heating in the bathroom and change of towels in the evening while at dinner all go to make for a most...
