Popped into the pub for a quick pint after fish and chips at the Quantock Tea Room. Young lady was friendly and told me where to get the wifi details. Price for a decent pint was £3.50 Decent bars and a good beer garden in the back

The Rose and Crown re-opened on 01.05.2015. Much the same as before in the bar, but is still not 'finished'. Currently not serving food while the kitchen is refurbished. Not sure if they are currently letting rooms. The garden is as lovely as ever.

The Rose and Crown has been given a lick of paint and reopened on May Day 2015! They are currently serving ale and the food trade should start up again this week. I'm giving three stars here as I've not yet tasted their meals, but it's great to have this pub back in operation, as it was the heart of... More

This pub is now closed and has been for about a month There's is nothing more to say about it but I have to add this extra bit to fill up the necessary characters for the review. It was a very nice place and I would have given it a good review. In fact I intended to go back there... More

Upon arrival, the strangely arranged tables at the front were something that concerned me. After weaving my way through seeming regulars, I found myself at the bar, which was already occupied with other men chatting loudly, ruining the ambiance of the pub. The staff seemed to look at me as if I had done something wrong whilst I waited for... More

The atmosphere was really inviting. The landlord is a sweetheart and their pub quiz on Tuesdays is smashing. The food is fresh and good value for money. We went there every single day of our week holiday. Many thanks.

I've stayed many times at this pub as part of an annual MAMIL mountain bike trip to the Quantocks, and its a great pub. Rooms are spotless, comfy beds and plenty of hot water-essential after a muddy day on the hills! Bar food is hearty pub fare, with locally sourced ingredients. The steak was very good, and much better than... More

It's always nice to get a review from one of our 'extended family'. AND It's always a pleasure to have you stay - particularly as you manage (mostly!) to keep mud off our nice cream carpets! Barb and I look forward to your next visit. Happy mountain biking, and thanks again! More

I have just returned from staying at this inn. The landlord on arrival made us feel most welcome. We were shown to our room and asked wether we wanted to eat in the restaurant that evening,if so they would keep a table. Unfortunately I did not get chance to sample the beer, but I noticed that it was pulled and had... More

Thank you very much for this review. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. What a shame you did not try the beer - we are Cask-Marque accredited and have something of a reputation for our real ales! More

Thanks so much for this review. Yes, the undulating floor in the Family Suite does reflect the age of that part of the building! Generally speaking, the floors elsewhere are flat as you would expect. We do not offer 'snacks' in the evening but there is a range of Starters for those not wanting a full meal. For the record,... More
