We were greeted at the door and entered into a beautiful large Georgian house,we were made to feel at home by our hosts from the offset. The house itself has many... More

We just spent three nights at the Poole House in May 2016. We went there interested in the history of the house that often played host to Wordsworth and Coleridge in the year they wrote Lyrical Ballads. The house was full of books on this history. We had a big, luxurious room with fine bed and fine breakfasts. Teresa and... More

We had a fabulous stay. The accommodation was impeccable. The breakfast was delicious, even allowing us the vegetarian and dairy free options. Very high standards, friendly and welcoming as well as helpful tips for visiting the area.

We stayed in the Thomas Poole room which was huge, as was the comfortable bed. The linens and towels were top quality, there was a choice of teas and biscuits in the room and the breakfast lasted the whole day, with home made jams and locally sourced food. Teresa was a brilliant host and we'll be sure to stay again... More
