My friends and I stayed 4 nights at Physis, and it was a lovely experience. Juliet and Matthew were so nice and helpful from start to finish, making sure to take care of whatever we needed. It was great to start the day with Matthew's delicious homemade breakfast (I miss having a bowl of fresh fruit every morning now that I'm home) served in the open-air upstairs dining area, surrounded by the sounds of howler monkeys and birds. One friend hurt her back, and Juliet arranged for an acupuncture and massage treatment for her. The rooms were comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and individual air conditioners. The common areas were very nice (although the furniture could have been a little more comfortable). The location was good, just up a dirt road from a supermarket and a mini-mart and next door to Johanna's soda. It is about a 10 minute tuktuk ride into "town" and about a 10 minute walk to Playa Cocles beach. I'd happily stay here again!…
Everything is made from local wood, and there is a lush garden area in the back. Our room had both A/C and ceiling fan. There are seating areas to hang out in the back and the front. Juliet and Matt are great hosts. This place was a real find!
The hosts, Juliet and Matt were just amazing! We have quite a few eating restrictions and they were so gracious and accommodating about it. Their breakfast is delicious! Matt is quite the chef! They recommended us places to go visit and restaurants to eat at and all their suggestions were excellent! The whole hotel is spotless and you can walk barefoot everywhere. They have these amazing outdoor spaces inside that are super relaxing, cozy and nice that you can just sit there for hours and just enjoy hearing the rain or watching birds. We can't wait to be back there again!
We originally booked three nights with them, but after staying the first night decided to stay the rest of the time at Physis. Juliet and Matt were really professional but laid back and great hosts, with plenty of great suggestions as well as good help booking some zip lines and coco Bri Bri village tours. Also, the breakfast and coffee was amazing each day. Thanks Matt!
My wife and I stayed at Physis B&B for 6 nights. Our hosts were fantastic! They went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. Every suggestion they made was spot on and we enjoyed our time at their B&B. The Honeymoon Suite was well worth the small extra charge. If you have rented a car, they have a great free parking area. It is a short walk to the beach and a few local stores and restaurants.
