This place es so perfect to stay, because is the middle of everything. Beaches, Supermarkets and restaurants. You always feel secure and if its raining, its the perfect place to stay and relax drinking with the beSt company. No doubt to stay here again.
Finca Chica is located off the main highway and across the street from the beach. There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance the property is clean and well maintained. The owner lives on the property and he's a class act, even delivering champagne for our special birthday celebration. I should mention that there is a full service grocery store less than a 5 minute walk away.
We absolutely loved this magica place with the helpful host, Emilio! Lots of special little details added to the ambiance of this little bungalow. Emilio does a fabulous job. We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. It was not easy to leave as we felt there was more to explore in the area. The jungle sounds were a treat and there are many places that are walking distance. There is a bike rental shop not too far if one feels like biking around.
We stayed SIXTEEN nights at La Finca Chica in their 1 bedroom Superior Villa (Casa Pizote) 27th Oct to 14th Nov 2019 - didn't want to leave and DEFINITELY wish to stay there again!! Fresh, clean, modern and surrounded by jungle plants and wildlife (hard to get going some mornings!) Guatusa, humming birds (saw them when sat on the toilet!!), Iguana, gecko, toucan, monkeys, lorakeet, little river turtle, sloth and many others - didn't see any 'nasties' so can't comment on that side of things. The owners (Emilio and Jenny) and employees are great and really helpful. 2 big supermarkets and restaurants within 2/3 minutes walk. Beautiful empty beach within 5 mins walk - BEWARE of the currents, they are very powerful even for a strong swimmer, but if you walk 25 mins north (left) up the beach and along the jungle path (saw monkeys there too) towards Puerto Viejo there are some lovely little and private-ish spots to relax and swim. Finca Chica is so well placed to visit everywhere between Cahuita, Manzanillo, BriBri etc whether you choose to hire a bike, scooter or catch a bus. Watch the road after dark though - catch a tuk-tuk or such, generally 2000 colones. Places to visit - JRC, Great Green Macaws, Cahuita, Manzanillo, Bribri waterfalls.... and obviously bars, restaurants, live music and Caribbean PURA VIDA vibes. If you're planning a stay in this amazing area, looking for a private, quiet, self-catering stay in a beautifully designed 'jungalow' and are not looking for a very expensive per night all-inclusive type of accommodation then THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU......…
Amazing place, you can book this without a single doubt. We loved the secluded feel of the spectacular wooden built houses. You have green and trees all around. You can enjoy the wild life right from your patio. The hostess of la Finca Chica was very friendly and took all the time to show us around. She helped us with bikes and has been very friendly during our stay. One of the most memorable accomodations we have ever stayed in. We will not forget this place and the service provided by la Finca Chica!
