We came when it was dark and it seemed like they did not expect us. Needed to check if the room was ready! At sight it seemed very nice and exotic - wooden cabins with sea view. But at a closer look everything looked dirty. The towels and sheets were stained. After the first Night there was a dead rat outside the cabin. The second Night we heard mice or rats at the balcony and our neighbors have had a mouse or rat inside their cabin - which has bitten in a backpack and bags with chips and coffee. We asked to be moved and also contacted the agency who booked our trip. We were moved to the suites - which were better - but still not clean. There where mold on the Walls and it smelled like an Old summerhouse. One of the women at the place were very pissed at us and tried to ignore us the rest of the stay because we contacted the agency. The rest of the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very ordinary and not very exiting. At the room there is a note that you should remember to lock the Doors when you leave the room - but every Day the cleaning had been the room was unlocked when we returned. Also the cleaning was poor. They did not fill up the toilet paper - we actually ran out. And the beds were poorly made. It rained a lot when we were there and the water came through the doors, all over the floor and under our suitcases. Additionally, there is a pond outside the suites where frogs migrate at night and the noise is defening. There are several “windows” in both cabins and suites, which are basically cutouts and therefore always open. There’s no mosquito net over these cutouts so bugs, mosquitos, lizards and other smaller animals will get in.…

One of the prettiest bungalow type hotels I have stayed in. Beach front... so you hear the ocean roaring and rocking you to sleep. The pool is nice tucked back under amazing trees and got to see tucans flying by... one of the most amazing treats are the lotus flower gardens... speechless! The room, bedding, bathroom and amenities great. Breakfast in the terrace delicious. The service was outstanding... specially Andrey, he was always available to assure we were happy! I know some complain about the traffic noice... it didn’t bother us at all... what woke us up one morning were the howler monkeys screaming! Awesomeee! I found that for the price it is worth a longer visit See you soon Lanna Ban!

This is a boutique hotel offering breakfast only. We had one of the junior suites upstairs. The room is large and comfortable with a large balcony. The surroundings are nice. The pool is good. Only minus point, our room had no safe. We realized too late this is bed and breakfast only. There are plenty of restaurants in Puerto Viejo, but you need transportartion.

Great location, lovely rooms. Ariel in front desk was very helpful and nice. Breakfast and afternoon coffee is served at your room. Very clean swimming pool. I would say it probably needs a bit of attention when cleaning the rooms, cleaning ladies often forgot to put new towels and toiletries. Aside from that, this hotel is great.
