Spent a week at Gowganda Lake Lodge. Rented a deluxe cottage. Very clean and homey. You just need to show up with food and fishing tackle. Linens and towels supplied. Exceptional service. Highly recommend. Looking forward to a return visit.
Stayed there on our snowmobile trip in March 2020. The owners Ron and Giselle both knew we were running late due to an issue we had. Waited for us to arrive and opened up the fuel pumps for us to get gas. From there we were shown our lodge for us to stay in, and was told that our dinner would be over soon. Dinner arrived and within 10 minutes not a leftover to be seen. Next morning we had breakfast and Ron and Giselle were asking what we wanted for breakfast. No menus .. what we wanted. How great is that! This place is beautiful in the wintertime, and could only imagine what it is like in the summer time for fishing/boating. Hope to return again next sled season or perhaps come up in the summer. Thanks again.
Love going up there every year. Always stay at the Gowganda Lake Lodge. They couldn't be nicer or more helpful. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Fishing was good, just a great relaxing week.
19 Fishermen descended on the Lodge for the second of many yearly visits to come. Ron, Giselle, Jack, and Max are the best hosts, and fulfilled our every need. Whether it was a simple fix for something, or the last-minute need for an excursion, The friendly dockside greetings to help get you tied up and back on solid ground was a pleasant end to your boating trip. Accommodations were very clean and tidy, full kitchen, and washrooms, wi-fi and cable. Boats were top notch (I will admit I had a brand new one so I maybe a little biased). We have already pre-booked to come back next year. Definitely the place to stay in the area.
Thirteen snowmobilers came into town in Gowganda. The Quick’s looked after us all to the utmost. Cabins were roomy comfortable and clean Then when the meatloaf mashed potatoes vegetables buns salad were brought in for dinner, we were overwhelmed with the goodness. Then to top it off homemade brownies and ice cream. After a full day of blizzard winter conditions on the sleds this was so amazing!! Next morning breakfast of whatever kind of eggs meat and cereals coffee tea. Filled up with gas and when one of the sleds had a starting issue (-35 degrees) they were there to lend a hand. Right off the lake as part of the Gold Rush Tour —this is a must stop! A highlight on our tour. Can’t wait to visit on our motorcycles in the summer!!
