This is an excellent hotel for exploring old Phuket town. We were tired of the whole beach scene in Thailand and wanted to explore more of the local life. Like all the other reviews state here, the rooms are spacious, the shower is great and you get a microwave and fridge. The standout feature was that the "minibar" charges were...

For the price paid, the Cost Performance is excellent. The room is big, clean, nicely furnished with a microwave, fridge, electric kettle and sink. They provided 2 bottles of drinking water and there is a pool. And of course free WIFI. It is within the old Phuket Town, across the road from Indy Market, a few steps from Raya Restaurant....

We stayed at Baan Suwantawe following the Rough Guide's recommendation and we were really impressed. The hotel is well appointed and within easy walking distance to great restaurants and a short taxi ride to the harbour for ferries to Phi Phi etc. We found the rooms massive and very well maintained, spotlessly clean and the bathrooms were large and modern....

Arriving late, leaving early. perfect deal. huge rooms, really clean. We checked out so late than everybody was sleeping. just few minutes away from ferry piers before leaving to islands. surroundinds are not great, but when it is only for the stop over we didnt care. anyway phuket town is not for "visiting"

Stayed here for 2 nights in March and really liked the hotel and its location. It is close to town which was fun to walk around, get some amazing thai food, and shop. It is also close to many bars and we never felt unsafe in the area. The hotel also has a pool which the rooms look out over....

Stayed at Baan Suwantawe over Valentine's Day this year with my boyfriend. We got the Studio Terrace facing the pool. Love the superbly spacious room. The room was all clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. Reception staff could speak basic English and was fast and efficient with the checking in and out process. Best thing about this...

We stayed here one night after leaving an island near Phuket prior to our flight home. The price was reasonable, room was clean and serviceable and the staff was helpful. However, and this could have been a big one, we asked for an early morning wake up call which never happened, fortunately we set our own alarm, however if we...
